A number of national chain stores have claimed to recycle the heavy plastic bags that are used as…read moremailers. Target is one of those businesses. I was so delighted when I recently showed up at the Target on the 3rd Avenue Extension to discover that the Walmart's claims were true. I didn't know what the recycling bin would look like. So I asked for help and I found the staff to be gracious. They walked me over to the recycling area which was neat and well maintained. The bin was empty and ready to accept donations. I believe strongly in sustainability and reducing my carbon footprint. I've been looking for recyclers in the Capital Region. Sometimes, I get disappointed. There are chain stores (should I name them all?) which claim to recycle but do a poor job of it. Their employees are nasty and their bins are dirty, neglected and overflowing. I'm happy to share the good news that both this Target at the Shoppes at Greenbush Commons as well as the nearby Walmart Supercenter are accepting plastic mailers for recycling and their employees have been welcoming. The recycling process time consuming and expensive. It's nice to know that some large businesses are giving back.

Alas, we did not have the discount code loaded properly and... Hailey to the rescue. She swiped and tapped a few things with the kiddo and we saved and extra spot of cash. Store is easy to navigate, clean, and everything was stocked. Good area and staff was nice to interact with. With Hailey going above-and-beyond to ensure we have a super-positive experience in getting the discount we qualified for, it hit all the right points to make the experience perfect. Stopped by the Front Desk manager to tell them the same and they said to fill out the survey on the receipt-- did that, too. We'll be sure to visit this Target for future needs because of that experience.

They are nice clothes too! They fit nicely and are good quality. It's a busy store and the line can get long but there is a lot of things to contemplate as you move down the line. Wow, I never thought I would write a negative review for this establishment. It disheartens me so…read moremuch especially as a long-term customer, small store supporter, and tolerant of all faiths. That changed today when the female proprietor accused me of stealing. Several times she asked me if I needed something before following me to the back of the store to ask me again. Her reasoning was "I was returning to the same spot several times" -- it was twice (I couldn't decided which size ziplock bags I needed). Both my partner and I felt very uncomfortable and decided to put our items back and leave. The female proprietor followed outside to say we could still shop there. I responded she made us feel unwelcome and we left. About 20 minutes later, I returned to discuss the situation with the female proprietor. I had been shopping at the general store for 4 years- and honestly didn't want to stop shopping there. When I walked in, I asked the female proprietor if we could talk about the situation, her response: "I'm standing right here." I started by saying how long I've been shopping at the store and always enjoyed my experience. Today, it felt different and I felt very unwelcome. You know when someone already has their mind made up and nothing you can say changes it? That was this situation. The female proprietor said that she was just checking in and did nothing wrong. When I responded that it felt like she was insinuating I was stealing, her response was "I'm sorry you felt that way." Which everyone know is the screw you of apologies. The conversation continued to go round and round, until I finally said that it seemed like she didn't want to take ownership and that I didn't feel comfortable shopping there anymore. Her response? "That's fine, we have plenty of other customers. We don't need ones like you." Just to clarify - wasn't stealing nor would every. Full disclosure, this is where I (hopefully understandably) got very frustrated and said I was going to tell people of the experience. It was then that another female worker told me to get out, followed by the female proprietor saying the same thing. I left the building, and slammed the door - which I shouldn't have. I honestly have never been treated with such disrespect before. It was overwhelming. When I got to the car (visibly upset) my partner then went in to the store. While I was not there, the gist of the situation was he was greeted with the same disrespect and after more conversation, was told to "leave or we will call the sheriff." For two people who were just trying to patron a local store, this was a terrible situation. I understand that shoplifting is a problem there -they had signs everywhere. Which ironically minutes before this happened, I said to my partner "who would ever steal from a local store like this?" To be treated with such disrespect is so disappointing. After 4 years of shopping here, they have made it very clear - people like me (who was just trying to get a few items, and said she felt uncomfortable by their actions) were told never to return. Hopefully this does not happen to you.

Today I went there as the designated location for my second Covid booster shot. They took me right on time for my appointment. The general pharmacy staff was friendly. However, of special note, the pharmacist was super friendly and efficient. Although I was already familiar with the potential side effects (since this was my forth Covid related shot) the pharmacist took extra time to explain things and was extremely attentive despite the pharmacy being extremely busy. Overall I was very impressed with the interaction today and I highly recommend this pharmacy.

This CVS is presently undergoing a renovation, so I doubt it's as clean and organized as it might…read moreotherwise be. The inventory was still in generally good condition. Hopefully some of this renovation will take place at the pharmacy, because it's somewhat cramped and not really capable of handling a backlog of customers. There's 2 self-check kiosks in the front, with no place for a line to wait if there's a backup. Hopefully these get a facelift too, as they could be more user-friendly.

We needed some aluminum foil recently so I bought a roll here. And let me tell you, I have never seen or held such flimsy foil. It worked for our craft project but I would never trust it to cook on because the spatula would tear right through it. If you know what a dollar store is like and can accept its limitations, then this place is for you.
