Worse place ever to get a loan I went there twice because they didn't accept my paperwork then I went back with everything in order as they asked and they said there is a discrepancy from my old paperwork to the paperwork I brought. I put in an app for a loan and it got declined for me not having a recent pay stub. If I've been out of work I don't get pay stubs that makes no sense. I talked to a manager named gio he told me even out of work you receive pay stubs that's just not true. I messed a couple weeks of work but couldn't receive a loan because I didn't get paid on the 10th? Gio said that's policy but that's a terrible policy if you claim to want to help people. If want proof I work there there has to be another way because pay stubs isn't the only way to prove that. ONE WORD ABOUT DLC "TERRIBLE!" This company acts as if it was a bank, its just your typical blood sucking payday loan that's on every street corner; I recently applied for a loan and never thought it would turn out to be my worst nightmare . First of all, they make you jump through hoops during the application process requiring you to provide more than just your ID, they want utility bills, bank records, paystubs and the list goes on and on, not to mention a flipping credit check! I'm surprised they didn't ask proof of my blood type. Simply put, they are outrageous! This was far from an easy application process. Because my ID only had my first and last name, they said they couldn't go any further unless I contact TransUnion to get them to edit my name to take out my middle name on my records; like a fool I did, but soon after that then they said my pay stub didn't match my name as my ID and that I would need to ask my HR Department to edit that as well. WTH? Their excuse was, it's company policy BLA, BLA, BLA. Remind you all the documentation provided had the same mailing address, so clearly this wasn't fraud ! This was so frustrating and such a waste of three days of my life on trying to get this loan to go through. Due to all this craziness, I gave up and asked them to cancelled my application and will NEVER EVER apply for a loan with the DLC! My mortgage loan didn't even require all that documentation and i borrowed $450,000.00 ! All I was asking for was for $600 (needless to say, utterly ridiculous). They are falsely advertising when they say it's an easy application process and that you can get your money in minutes (such rubbish). instead they require bank statements, paycheck stub, utility bills AND credit check WTH? Just for a mere $600 dollar loan! It's over and beyond what any payday loan company I've ever dealt with. In addition, the customer representatives need to be retrained and should take a class in professionalism. The three representatives I spoke to, one of which was a Manager, were unpleasant to almost rude, making you feel like a fool. I highly recommend that you rethink using this company for you financial needs, it'll be a waste your precious time with this wanna be bank. I had no choice but to give the DLC a one-Star rating, otherwise, i wouldn't been able to write this review to warn you all! In actuality, I give them a big, "ZERO" rating with three thumbs down . NOTE to the Owner, Chuck, you drive a hard bargain for the people who are in need of a few hundred bucks my friend! Although they're a decent source to go to when in need of a loan, the constant phone calls is what docks their sense of customer service down to two stars. I always get a call during work hours after I told them I'm unavailable. Even when I do answer and tell them that I am busy but make time for a short conversation they still proceed to ignore what I say. The last phone call I answered I talked to a Alexis who was rude as I told her that I would try to pay the loan next pay day and I had to get off the phone. She proceeded to ask me about my account and told me "we'll until you pay off your payment you will keep receiving collection phone calls". I don't know how anyone can rate dollar loan center above a two star!!! their employees are inconsiderate about people and their time. both the times I've tried to get a loan from Dollar loan Center. I spent over an hour in the office just to not leave with a loan. Mind you I make over 100,000 a year and get paid biweekly with direct deposit. Not sure yet if this is a scam...I went to the DLC website and applied, and was approved. I requested $600 as a pay day loan. My only option was 2 weeks and, unlike the radio ad with the DLC owner, I paid $135.00 in fees. $135.00 for 10 days! Don't expect to pay the low interest that you'll hear on the radio... read more

The one thing that stood out about Dollar loan center at least in the past is the it was so much more convenient than payday loan and online internet lenders. Especially as a previous customer. That has completely gone away. There associates now treat people, well at least me like I am a scammer, liar, thief, con artist. This after I have borrowed and paid back several previous loans on time and early. Their rates aren't any different, and this is no longer convenient. So I can say the staff are nice no complaints there, but potential customers need to understand how their loans work. The commercials sound great pay only $2.50 a day for as long as you have the loan out they use a week for their example, realistically, most people are borrowing $500 or more which they wont be paying off in a week and most people get paid bi weekly. If your payment is $45 every 2 wks, but your incurring $2.50 a day in interest times 14 days thats $35 which means $10 out of that $45 went to principal. Its very easy to get behind and that daily interest keeps compounding. Your better off getting a installment loan with interest included so your not on that payment treadmill not getting ahead. I needed a loan several times and usually I would pay back in full. I just separated from my wife and this time I just figure I'd pay back in payments. I borrowed $600 and so for I've made 8 payments that's $20 or more than the required amount to take down the interest or at least take down my principal amount. Today I checked to see what my balances owed is an seen that the principal is only down $52 which is ridiculous. Then these people have the nerve to call and tell me that my credit limit is at $297 and if I wanted to borrow that amount. I am livid , the audacity of this place. Dollar loan center are nothing more than crooks. Check city and other loan companies never charged me the way this place has. I will be paying off my loan in full and will never deal with this place again. I am highly dissatisfied and can hardly believe the way they do business is even legal. I would never recommend anyone using these loan centers. You are better off pawning your valuables for a few weeks. read more

I've used this dollar loan center a few times in a bind, and I can honestly say it was pretty painless. I wished I could have gotten a little more cash but these guys were very easy to work with. In minutes I was approved and I walked out wit cash in about a half hour. It can be very expensive but if you pay off some principal every payment and not just the interest, it's definitely an option to help people that are in a bind.
