They seem to try to convince people that they owe money when they DO NOT! My WELLS FARGO BANKER says, voluntarily, that she sees a lot "of that sort of thing" where they collect "more than they are owed"! It seems many borrowers trust them & don't call the bank as I did! Came in this evening at 6:30 with absolutely no customers in line, I barely got in the door and was rudely told to hold up. There was a chubby red hear gal with the most unhappy disgusting look on her face, and what appeared to be a new hire. I've been in customer service for over 20 years and would never expect to wait over 30 min for them to do a cash drawer count and switch over. Yet alone make someone wait with no other customers for that amount of time. I was in to pick up a western union cash transfer from my bank, and will never return to this location due to the horrible attitudes, lack of customer service, and flat out rudeness that they provided to me. For upper management reading this I hope the appropriate discussion about how to greet a customer , how to properly treat a customer. Thank you read more

DO NOT do business with Check City, yes, I took out a small loan, fell into a hardship, so they file charges to ganish my pay, they came to my apartment and served papers to someone living in my home, not me (not the person on the loan), no signature, no nothing, now they are demanding 25% more than my child support. So be careful they will strong arm you to get what they want and have no care for you or your families well-being. read more

The lady working inside didn't lock the doors and was yelling at me and another customer that they were closed. This review is for the location at Cheyenne and 215 not the location listed here! Lone Mountain. I have been a BofA customer for some 22 years so I am not an individual who uses check cashing stores, although they provide a great service to a community. I received an out of State business check from a corporation for services I provided as a professional in the entertainment and media industry. As of late checks I deposit, out of State, into BofA they put holds on them for at least two weeks! A customer of 22 years and a 2 week hold?? That is when I decided to go to Check City. Now I was aware of Check City's very liberal Money Order policy of "free money orders" which is something unheard of today so I had used their services as opposed to paying 12 dollars at BofA for one. That said I went into the location at Cheyenne and 215 and met Sabrina, within minutes she cashed this business check at a very fair rate ( some places will take advantage of people on fees ) and I was out the door with cash in hand that I could deposit into my account for instant access to those funds rather than wait 2 weeks for a check to "clear". The banks today are using our money for their benefit and that is sad. I hope that this note provides help to anyone who maybe in the same situation, I hope you find your dealings with Check City as I did with Sabrina and the location at Lone Mountain. I am a believer that if you have good service, are treated fairly and find something that is helpful to others to pass it on. Keep up the great work Check City as you provide a valuable service to our community! read more
