Update to original review. Are you saying it is ok to send off to the IRS personal information regarding a $5 money order? That is fraudulent and the IRS would do nothing about it. What happened to me is bad customer service and Sarah is providing exactly that. If that is your policy it is bad and anyone that needs to have money orders should seek another place to not be treated as a criminal. read more

Nice place to get money orders. Problem is if you run into Sarah, she will talk to you as if you're breaking laws when you get a money order. Wanted to get my social security number and my drivers for a money order because I needed two $10 money orders to pay bills. read more

I go in here for money orders almost every month. Every time I go in there I'm always asked for charity donations and one of their workers who is a white red head lady is very pushy and rude when I tell her I can't donate at the time. She acts like the money is for her. I suggest check city to stop asking people for charity donations aggressively. read more

I have had an account at this location for about a month, and I have cashed several payroll checks at this location and have had nice interactions with the representatives except Lorena, she has cashed a check for me before with the same stone face and non customer service attitude, this representative that stands out for lack of customer service skills. Today I got Lorena again, unfriendly , but she did help me with my transaction with some hesitation, I am aware to cash your payroll checks it can be around $9.00/$10.00 or so. I needed to cash a small 401k check there today, well, Lorena looked at the check which was from an investment company, but I understand they have to check to make sure checks are legit I understand. Lorena asked if I had cashed checks there before, I advised her yes at this location is where I got my net spend prepaid card from and I also explained to her she cashed my check before. I'm questioning myself cant she see that information in the system? I guess after she decided to go ahead and cash the check she gave me the balance after she loaded my debit card. At the end of the transaction I check my receipt and asked why was it $12.00 to cash my check, she stated because it was not a payroll check. I'm like instead of telling my what my balance would be after completing my transaction, she could of advised it would be $12.00 to cash my check at the beginning of the transaction and I could of made the decision if I wanted to cash it or not, I from California and they don't charge high fees unless it's like $800.00 or more . Anyways I assumed that it would be $10.00 like the previous transactions. Oh well, $2.00 more dollar to cash a non payroll check i'll get over that, but what I will not forget, is the poor customer service that this representative gave me. read more
