Bare shelves, disheveled and yet, so much potential for a brand store to have success.
    Hi D M.

Good-prices and location, variety of items when properly stocked. Bad-lack of coordinated stock personnel, no management.

    Educational material.

Newly opened Dollar Tree on the corner of Richmond Hwy (US-1) and Beacon Hill Road. We've been anticipating this Dollar Tree as this is the closest one to us now. Also, I especially like that this location is a stand-alone establishment so it has it's own parking lot as opposed to the ones that share spaces with other stores in a shopping plaza. Upon entering the store, it already appears clean and spacious. A lot of their seasonal/holiday decor is immediately on the right and throughout the store, their inventory is well stocked and organized. Maybe it has to do with the fact that this place just opened, so I found a lot of educational material that I haven't found in other Dollar Tree locations. They even have a lot more wood crafting materials, as well as yarn! I stocked up on some beautiful mustard yellow and deep wine colored yarn, which are 131yds in length. There is much to peruse when you visit this Dollar Tree because they have everything from home decor, storage, pet accessories, baby things, arts & crafts, cleaning tools, snacks, beverages, and frozen food items. There are even things for birthdays and throwing parties with helium balloons and party decor. A few things that were a little 'meh' was the entrance to the store. Not really appealing but it's not a huge issue. Also their pavement needs work since there were 3 potholes when driving in from Beacon Hill.

Indicative of every aisle in the store.

This used to be such a nice $ Tree, with friendly staff and a well-organized store. For the last six months or so it's just really gone downhill. The store is a wreck, no matter what day and time you go in. This photo is indicative of every aisle in the store. Meanwhile the cashier couldn't be bothered to even return my hello or have any manners, and the manager on duty was off loudly chatting about planned parenthood with a customer the entire 20 minutes I was in there. How about stop chatting and get to work stocking/organizing?

Brand new location. Very convenient to Old Town Alexandria as it's located on the corner of Richmond Highway and Beacon Hill Road. As a corner store parking is ample and does not compete with other stores. Interior is clean and newly set up. Given size of floorplan this location appears to have a larger inventory than expected. Overall my "go to" Dollar Tree.

They lock their doors before the posted closing time. Don't try to go last minute for anything.

One of the most unique Dollar Trees I ever went to ever. This is a Dollar Tree I wanted to go to in…read morethe past yet never went to due to never being in that area. I like that it is located in a shopping center with different stores and food places to browse through. The store was different in that they had a certain way of displaying items. They have a clear window cabinet to get beauty products from through large holes. I never saw that before in a Dollar Tree store. I think it keeps the items more neat & orderly. This is the place to find items you wouldn't usually see in other Dollar Tree stores. I found a selection of pantyhose & tights. I got an Elle brand for $1.25. I , also, found purse size sanitizer spray in Apple scent - very fragrant & cheaper than a fraction of the price of other stores at $1.25. They were in the middle of stocking Christmas items and some products were not priced. I selected premium Christmas wrapping paper that was more than 50% less or more than drugstore or Walmart prices - not realizing they were $3 each. They had cheaper gift wrapping paper for $1.50. I wish I still had gotten the hello kitty gift wrapper for $1.50. Items that were usually priced $1.25 like calendars & calendar journals were $1.50. My favorite finds of the day there were Marie Claire beauty product: brow liner (excellent in use & lower priced than higher end brands), two calendars together for $1.50, premium Christmas wrapping & tape, and double tape. Staff were busy yet I found one helpful person, who helped me find an item. Overall, I liked this Dollar Tree.

Wow... we used to love stopping by the dollar tree in rose hill…read more.. But now... it usually now looks like the store was picked up and shook, it's such a mess! AND big black covered carts blocking the shelves. Also closing down entire isles! Is this store under new management? If not, I guess it should be!
