Can't help myself with bargains and bargains galore. Every Dollar Tree store has bargains for the everyday person. This one in Alexandria, Virginia is the same. Just happened to kill some time while waiting for my dinner to be prepared nearby, so I popped into this Dollar Tree store to see what deals were to be had here. I spent about 45 minutes browsing the store. I feel like Dollar Tree sells a lot of household items and goods. Often, I believe they will sell seasonal items more often than normal every day things just to get rid of the hard to sell inventory. With that said, I was here around 4:30pm and there was not anyone here besides the staff and myself. It was a cold March afternoon. I always venture to the backside of the store because I know that there are usually deeply discounted food items that are in the refrigerated lockers. Usually lower prices than the usual supermarkets. So I did just that. I chose what I wanted and promptly proceeded to the checkout where I paid for my stuff and got out. I enjoy the dollar tree very much because they are very prudent and what most people want in the items that they sell. I like Dollar tree because it can have a lot of the everyday items that people need like office supplies and household items. The beauty of the dollar tree is is that it is very budget friendly or for those who are on a budget or a very tight budget. I was glad that the dollar tree was in walking distance from my Airbnb here in Alexandria. The over experience here at this dollar tree store in Alexandria, Virginia was very good and very quiet. It was rush-hour on a Wednesday evening in DC and Alexandria and definitely was nice to be able to be shopping here as a tourist and not be hurried by the hustle and bustle of the DC daily commute. I enjoyed my time here especially because it was relaxed and quiet. The ambiance was good and it felt good to be here especially because it was nice and peaceful. The Dollar Tree store wasn't that large but it was compact and impactful for all the items and things that it tries to sell to those who need it. I spent about an hour here shopping and finding what I needed for my weeklong trip in Alexandria. I enjoy finding food items that seem discounted here at the Dollar Tree whenever I travel. For the most part though, finding this Dollar Tree store within walking distance from my Airbnb was good and definitely worth coming here for a low budget stay in Alexandria, Virginia. If you're staying nearby and want your stay in the area to be as cost effective as possible, consider the Dollar Tree here at the Mount Vernon Crossroads Mall. This place basically has everything but actual groceries like a supermarket. You can get whatever you need, but it is very limited. I've come across some ice cream and various drink brands at previous dollar tree stores, but this place does not carry aforementioned items. I guess every dollar tree store maybe is a franchise and they buy their own merchandise in bulk and resell it to the wider consumer in the community. If you love a bargain, come here! My experience was short and sweet. Found what I was looking for, Which was a cheap dinner, paid for my purchase, and was off to the Airbnb for the night. This Dollar Tree store location is situated in Alexandria, Virginia inside the Mount Vernon Crossroads Mall outlet. It's physically located at 6711 Richmond Highway in Alexandria. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, they have a small parking area for y'all who drive. If you're like me, public transportation is available (DC metro and other public buses) for anyone and everyone who wishes to come and look for bargains and deals here. And of course, there's Uber and Lyft and Empower at your convenience. If you're looking for something that can fill your shopping needs and bargains at a reasonable price, consider coming here for your next shopping mele. While being frugal does have its advantages, having a place like Dollar Tree helps us stay grounded in what we do. I managed to find what I was looking for and it made me happy that I was here at this Dollar Tree store. While it may not be glamorous, it does have deals and specials to keep you on budget, if you do that thing. I know it helps me. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. There is a major trash file from the outside trash can piling over in front of the store. Customers gave to step over all the trash on the ground to get in the store. It looks like someone had a party and just jet all the trash on the ground. The inside of the store is also a mess with household cleaning products on the shelves with candy and food items. I was shocked when I went in today 5/12/2025 and saw what a disarray the shelves were in with items just placed anyway. This inside looks worse than the 7870 Richmond Hwy store Please clean up the outside and inside of your store. Concern customer. read more

Newly opened Dollar Tree on the corner of Richmond Hwy (US-1) and Beacon Hill Road. We've been anticipating this Dollar Tree as this is the closest one to us now. Also, I especially like that this location is a stand-alone establishment so it has it's own parking lot as opposed to the ones that share spaces with other stores in a shopping plaza. Upon entering the store, it already appears clean and spacious. A lot of their seasonal/holiday decor is immediately on the right and throughout the store, their inventory is well stocked and organized. Maybe it has to do with the fact that this place just opened, so I found a lot of educational material that I haven't found in other Dollar Tree locations. They even have a lot more wood crafting materials, as well as yarn! I stocked up on some beautiful mustard yellow and deep wine colored yarn, which are 131yds in length. There is much to peruse when you visit this Dollar Tree because they have everything from home decor, storage, pet accessories, baby things, arts & crafts, cleaning tools, snacks, beverages, and frozen food items. There are even things for birthdays and throwing parties with helium balloons and party decor. A few things that were a little 'meh' was the entrance to the store. I'm usually sympathetic to dollar tree employees but this last one was just terrible. She was super friendly to black peoples in line and wouldn't even talk to the white customers. She was super slow and the line went back half the length of the store. She was the only cashier when I saw two management people standing around chit chatting. When they noticed the long line they went outside and kept chit chatting out there. When I left they were talking about personal stuff, not work so it seems they didn't want to deal with the huge line. read more

Not a great store, it is not a bad one either. It usually has what I want or need at expectedly cheap prices. The selections are usually quite adequate, except when the shelves need restocking. The salespersons are helpful and courteous. My only wish is that the store would be tidier. Trash and empty containers should be discarded, instead of being left in the customers' view. read more

This used to be such a nice $ Tree, with friendly staff and a well-organized store. For the last six months or so it's just really gone downhill. The store is a wreck, no matter what day and time you go in. This photo is indicative of every aisle in the store. Meanwhile the cashier couldn't be bothered to even return my hello or have any manners, and the manager on duty was off loudly chatting about planned parenthood with a customer the entire 20 minutes I was in there. Brand new location. Very convenient to Old Town Alexandria as it's located on the corner of Richmond Highway and Beacon Hill Road. As a corner store parking is ample and does not compete with other stores. Interior is clean and newly set up. Given size of floorplan this location appears to have a larger inventory than expected. Came in 12 minutes before closing, I couldn't come any earlier. An old man guarding the door says he won't let me in because there's a big line and the slow cashier wouldn't finish on time before closing--it's around 9:50 and they close at 10. I told him I'm only going to buy one thing and he still wouldn't let me in. I've come to this place multiple times even closer to closing them and there are some lovely people that allow me to shop for a last minute minute item. read more

If I could give these 0 starts that's what it would be !! First time visiting here and as I was shopping noticed broken down boxes and I asked a lady that was stocking items in back if I could have some she said yes .. then another employee ( who I later found out her name was Ms King )yelled and said who said you could help yourself to boxes . I told her I did not help myself but asked an employee .. but that if it was a problem I could put them back .. she said "no you already have them in your basket ".. so as I'm standing in line to check out she goes up to the front and starts screaming to the cashiers that they are not to give out boxes ! As they all openly start yelling and discussing yes or no .. I again said if it's such a problem I will put them back like I told you the first time you confronted me about them " and she just continues to scream for all to hear ! When I went back in to ask her name she wouldn't look at me and said why you need my name ? I said because upper management should be aware how you are representing their company ! She then told me her name and said "we'll go then do what you need to do " Could not believe the unprofessional behavior !! I will never come here and warn all to stay away !!
