Honestly the best dollar tree I've ever been to. Store is large, aisles are clear, and decently organized. I know dollar trees are chronically understaffed, but I've never had to wait in line longer than a few minutes. What stood out to me was the staff- the last two times I've visited, the cashiers were making conversations with what were clearly regular customers. One was asking about how the customer's job interview was going, another time they were asking about the customer's art project. It gave a very community-minded feeling. read more

After going to the store for over 10 years, today the young lady said very proudly, no you cannot have any boxes from our store. It's against company policy. Not even one box. Do I need to say more about customer service?... I was buying $10 worth of stuff. Thought maybe I could have a box. And the items were heavy... Too heavy for their little bags. read more

The value is excellent and the staff is very friendly but totally overwhelmed. The lines are often very long due to under staffing and the store sometimes look like a hurricane has struck it with items strewn on the floor by inconsiderate shoppers. Great place to buy greeting cards and party items and seasonal items. They raised their prices but customer service i. e. lines have not benegitted. read more

So it's no longer the Dollar Tree. It's the Buck Twenty Five Tree now, but that's not my complaint. I'd gladly pay a dollar fifty for every item if it meant they could hire even marginally competent staff. I go there for foil pizza pans, and will be looking for a new place to get them--at any cost. What a mess.... it looks like college students trashed it, and they're down the street from Sonoma State U. I went to the office supply section- they were out of permanent markers. The section had somewhat been picked clean, as had the sodas. Despite the fact there were about 4 employees (some were on breaks), some sections were in the midst of re-stocking, while they had run out of other items. While I couldn't find their Havana brand canned cold brew coffee- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCjNJDNzw8Y Dollar Trees don't always carry Havana coffee, nor do they carry it all the time (sometimes the Napa one has the mocha, or the cappuccino, or nothing) I was able to find paper towels, soaps, so I was in luck with that. I shopped at the Cotati Dollar Tree #5290 on 3/12/21 and spent $27.40 and was pleased with my purchases only to discover AFTER I paid for all of it that I could not take the cart out of the store and no help was there for me to get the purchases to my car which I had parked some distance from the store because there was no parking spaces near it. Both my arms are still hurting. I am 82 years old and this was not acceptable to me. I should have asked for a refund of all my purchases....but this is what will happen: I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THAT DOLLAR STORE AGAIN. My rating is a ZERO. Becky YW read more

I really enjoy this Dollar Tree. Its never mobbed but seems to have frequent patronage. The store is not messy as some Dollar Trees tend to look picked through. The staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoy getting decorations there and snack foods on odd occasions. read more

I had a great experience today at this Cotati Dollar Tree. Theresa was such a helpful checker/staff member. She noticed I didn't have a lid for my container and offered to walk back to the aisle and check two locations with me. She was friendly and so helpful- good customer service like this is hard to come by these days, especially during COVID-19 where customers and employees are feeling rushed and stressed. It was refreshing to get someone so kind and helpful. She really took the time to be friendly with the customers before and after me too. I highly recommend this store. I work with toddlers for a living and I frequently need puzzles and containers to make learning materials and this store had many puzzles to choose from. I just wish they had more containers stocked but we are in the middle of a pandemic so I understand many stores are finding it difficult to stock to the fullest- so I'm letting that slide. I'll just check back later. But I wanted to leave a review because the employee Theresa was so helpful and I didn't have the negative experience that other Yelp users have had. I always say HI to employees with a smile no matter how bad a day I'm having and 90% of the time I find when I'm friendly to people and come into stores with a positive attitude, then others around me will follow suit! read more

I just moved to the area so I had to go stock up on a few things like plastic wrap and parchment paper for baking in aluminum foil and check out the Hallmark card section of course. The store was pretty low in stock, not very many craft supplies, after being stuck at home and watching lots of YouTube DIY's I was excited to try to find a couple of things to try but no such luck. staff here are the rudest I have ever met in my life, seriously the person who checked me out complained three times that I had too many things in my car that my order was going to take a long time to ring up, then complained that I had to bag my items and that was going to take longer. I asked if I could take the car outside because my car was literally parked by the door they said no no way you can just leave it here and go back-and-forth but we're not going to be responsible for it or watch your cart not our problem! WTF #Seriously I just spent $129 do you know what customer service is? You do realize that the reason you have your job is because I'm in here shopping and I'm actually a customer right? after hearing three more times about how this person couldn't handle the lines and the register and was super rude and didn't say please or thank you even once; I paid and then made four trips out to my car. Do you think I will shop here again? On a scale of 1 to 10 what's your guess? there's a way better dollar store on the other side around the park that's where I'll be taking my business where the staff for epic and bonus because target is right next-door and so is Joanne Fabrics I won't have to deal with these rude ass people again. It is the Dollar Tree, scattered items in a semi-messy space yet filled with cheap finds - as most dollar stores are. As with most of my chain store reviews, this is a shout out for the customer service! We stupidly locked our keys in the car in the parking lot across the street, and were on the hunt for a wire hanger to get them out. Both the cashier and another of the employees were super helpful - more so in actually offering up their Triple A because we did had none. We ended up figuring out situation out, it was still nice to have them so willing to help out. Thank you folks! read more

I frequently go to this dollar store after the gym. I dont mind that it is messy and unorganized. I get what I need and head out. Today I was there and there were 2 cashiers working. No ones lights were on so I picked the first register I could get to. The cashier was extremely rude when telling me she was closed so I went to the other register. That cashier was extremely rude and embarrassed me in front of other customers. I dont normally have this bad of an experience here however today was pretty unfortunate. read more

This place is a joke. I was in today and there was one checker and a long line. I asked the person who was not checking if they could open up and she rudely said no. If I acted the way these employees and managers act at my job, I would get fired. Every time I come here there's always an issue which leads to an attitude problem from the cashier. I went in on Halloween and what I'm assuming was the manager was on register. She was a hot mess, rude to every costumer, as she had side conversation with an employee that walked in on her day off. She aggressively dumped my items out of my basket (after she rang up everyone else's without dumping their items) and rudely asked if I wanted a bag. As badly as I wanted to sarcastically tell her, "no I'll just stick it all in my pockets!" I nodded my head and smiled as she aggressively bagged my items. The woman helped me find exactly what I was looking for and was extremely sweet. Speedy checkout as well! This is now my go to store. Typical dollar tree with more people trying to clean up the messy store then open up a register when the lines get long. The person that seems to be " in charge" is always the rudest ,mostly to his coworkers, and it's so rude and wrong to hear how he talks to them. He's never friendly and the one lady that is there a lot, Tina , is always friendly even when she has a long line of people that seem annoyed with the one register open. read more

Upon checkout there were some confusions in which checkouts were available to ring. There were 2 lights on but only one cashier, in which created two separate lines. Leaving customers unsure which line to go to. Not too long later a women came out from the back, which I'm assuming is the manager. She was very aggressive and rude to the cashier as soon as soon as she came out. Turns out the cashier usually doesn't work at this location and couldn't get logged to one of the checkouts. What made me angry was the fact the the manger should've handled the situation better, instead of being so aggressive and belittling the cashier. At the end of the day we're all humans, there's no need to treat people that type of way especially in front of costumers under any circumstances. read more
