See's Candies has been a family tradition since I was kid. My dad used to buy the nuts & chews for the nurses at the infusion clinic he use to go to in San Mateo. I love the pecan roll, chocolate is my addiction. Javony was working the day I decided to stop in. He is so nice, he welcomed me to sample something of my choice, and I had no trouble selecting something with pecans. He even offered a sample of the white chocolate and mint. Very disappointed in See's Candy today. Apparently if you have a coupon for 5.00 off spending 40.00. They will not allow you to buy the discounted Easter Candy at the discounted price. They charge you full price and they do not tell you or explain that you are only allowed one discount. A labeled discounted item at the cash register is not the same as using two coupons at once. Shame, Shame Shame on See's for not being upfront on this. read more

We visited See's Candies store on October 24th and met very rude person at the store. I won't mention her name here but we bought few things and she treated us ver poorly. May be she thought we are just looking around and not going to buy anything but were really surprised by her rude behavior. Her behavior did not change even after we bought $32 dollars worth of stuff, I guess her mind was made up and may be she was having bad day. She needs to show some respect to customers as she probably have job because of customers like us. If you don't like the job and going to treat your customer this bad then should look for another job. We will not return to that store again. read more

My family & I have always loved See's candy. This year I placed 3 orders with them and my last order seems to of been forgotten. Placed on 12/22 early in the morning, I'm still waiting to hear that my order was ready to pick up. This is a pretty expensive candy shop for an order to just be ignored. Lived in Santa Rosa for 30 years and always go to See's candy for special occasions. But this time was different at the Coddingtown location. A young lady with purple hair works there and she was so rude to me. She clearly was in the middle of some paperwork and I interrupted by coming in and needing a box of chocolates. Her tone and attitude was condescending and annoyed so I treat people how they treat me. We made it through the transaction but I will say I was bothered by her lack of respect and obvious annoyance of a customer. Every time I have come in to See's I'm always greeted with a hello and offer of a sample from a happy person. I guess this employee missed that message. read more

The ladies in See's are always so welcoming. They offered us a white chocolate raspberry truffle that seemed to be left over from Easter. Still delicious. The flower on top was a bit dry. I am very grateful to Louise at See's Candy in Coddingtown. My mother used to enjoy a certain candy many years ago. My son also enjoyed it but it wasn't sold for a long time. With the kindness and excellent customer service by Louise, I was able to get it for him for Easter. She was so very nice and willing to help me find it. I walked in to Sees today with my friend and after waiting to be rung up the store manager "Jay" came up to the register with a super rude attitude and proceeded to raise her voice at my friend after she didn't hear something she had said and was very stand offish for no reason the whole time. I would not recommend going in here unless you're prepared to deal with a rude worker acting like a grown child. read more

Everyone has their fond memories of See's as this chocolate store is so nostalgic to many! For me, it's growing up and going to the See's candies on Market Street in San Francisco with my family and picking up little treats once in awhile. We love their lollipops and assorted chocolates and their free samples every time we walk in. The ladies behind the counter are always so friendly and nice at every location I go to so this location in Coddingtown Center is no different. Mother's Day is a week away and I go every year to pick up treats. This year I got two Mother's Day floral tins filled with assorted chocolates. There was a line formed and 1 lady working but she was quick and efficient. She offered me a sample, walnut maple dark chocolate which was divine. I asked for 2 separate bags since they are both gifts. She rung me up and bagged all my goodies and I left with a smile on my face. :) read more

Well, my mom and I became addicted to this place and shopped here several times a week (I'm embarrassed to say) for years. That being said, as time has gone on and Sees has continues to raise it's prices EXORBITANTLY, we buy organic chocolate bars at whole foods now instead. Current price online is $21.00 per pound, but I believe it is more in this store. Which is sad. As we prefer SEEs, but can no longer afford to shop there. Otherwise, nice, vintagely looking store (like all of them), reasonably nice employees, nice selection of chocolates, gift packages, special occasion items, etc. At Christmastime, you can buy cards at Costco which you can use to purchase their candies at a "discount". read more

Sometimes I need my fix of chocolate. When I do I love me some Sees marzipan. This one is pretty close to work so it tends to be where I go. The staff is always very nice and the sweets are always tasty but I have to deduct one star because this location has been out of what I like more than any other location. I personally love chocolate and will kiss the feet of whoever discovered the beautiful cocoa bean. My fiancé (God bless his heart for this) always brings me the really big box of the assorted chocolates. I could eat the entire box die within every bite. See's Candy itself just holds a very delicious, orgasmic, tasty section of chocolates, which is why it earned three stars. If it wasn't for their ugly customer service then it would get all five. Okay look, I for one love free samples, but dang! It's like I have to beg for one in there. One time they gave me a half of a sample. A HALF. What am I gonna do with half a chocolate? By the time it barely reaches my mouth it's gone. It disappears in thin air. The chocolate is already small enough, cutting it in half should be a felony. I couldn't even feed an ant with a half. I could breathe in oxygen and accidentally sniff in and swallow that half and not even notice it. I bet the staff eats all the chocolate they want. (yeah, you're all fat, we know you eat chocolate when we leave) But so hesitant when we ask for samples. They also eye you while you're tasting the chocolate... they just watch you eat it. It's like you feel violated. They seriously think that right when you ask for a sample, you're gonna take it and run away and not buy anything. If I worked there, I could end world hunger. Just saying! The three stars of this review is given to the guy that works there with the glasses. He's super nice and not iffy about giving me samples, he just hands whatever you wanna try out.
