The Dollar Tree is descended from Ben Franklin discount stores that first began operating 1953. From the Ben Franklin's the founders opened K&K 5&10 and K&K Toy Stores. In the mid 80's another discount chain was started called only $1.00. In the 90's it was decided that the company would only focus on the development of dollar stores and in 1993 the name was changed to Dollar Tree. The company now operates close to 15,000 stores in 48 states. The company also operates the Family Dollar chain. Whenever I need wrapping paper or gift bags, a Dollar Store is the first place I head. This time I was in need of gift wrap for a wedding shower gift. I usually can't find wedding themed wrap but they had exactly what I needed. I was also able to pick up the paper goods to bring to the party. Greetings cards are only 50 cents each. On this visit I noticed their pretty spring themed party goods. I also loved their fairy garden items. This is a great place to pick up your seasonal decorations, currently St. Patrick's Day and Easter. When items are only $1 each it's easy to fill up a basket. This location of the chain seemed well organized and clean. Even better it was well staffed making for a quick checkout.

Whenever I'm near a Dollar Store I want to go in. I seldom leave without buying a few things. Most Dollar stores sell the same items, although I always seem to find something new. This particular Dollar Store was a little larger then some of the others. The shelves were well stocked and the place appeared to be clean. Some Dollar Trees have a refrigerated section, this one didn't. I really wasn't looking for anything in particular but I managed to find several things to buy. I left the store with three pairs of sox, an eyeglass case, a scarf, Spic and Span cleaner, and a small trash can. Great finds.

Terrible location, terrible staff, messy store, rude interactions. Highly recommend you steer clear of this shit show of a store!

The manager is great and so is the staff but they hardly have any good stuff. I find better stuff at other Dollar Tree stores.

The prices were so inexpensive, I was able to buy myself a bunch of holiday gifts too. I picked out a few things yesterday, but I didn't have the patience to wait in the long line. My fault, as it was the day before Easter and they were extremely busy. I'm going to stop by after work tomorrow and hopefully find the kitchen items I should have bought yesterday, and I liked a few other things, so I am excited about going back to finish what I started yesterday. This is a busy plaza but I've never had any issues finding parking. Located on the NW corner of Atlantic Ave and Military Trail, in the same plaza as Office Depot and McDonald's.

These days, it's known for deeply discounted prices... and, often, a less-than-ideal shopping experience. Let's be honest: the prices are fantastic, but everything else can be hit or miss. Checkout lines are usually long, dressing rooms can be pretty rough, and the overall atmosphere sometimes makes you feel like you're being watched a little too closely. And yet, I keep coming back--because it's hard to argue with finding a cute dress for under $20 or knocking out half your gift list in one stop. That said, this particular Ross was a pleasant surprise. I stopped in looking for an affordable dress for a friend's wedding and ended up finding the perfect outfit--dress, accessories, and even shoes--without breaking the bank. Even better, the checkout process was smooth and painless, which is not always the case at other locations. Overall, this store felt cleaner, more organized, and just better managed than many Ross stores I've visited. If all Ross locations were like this one, I'd have a lot fewer complaints.

Walked in today (and pretty much every other time I've bothered going) and it's the same story: ZERO help anywhere in the store. Every single regular checkout lane is permanently closed, forcing you into the self-checkout gauntlet where half the scanners don't work properly anyway. Need help with an item that won't scan? Good luck--there is literally no one around who cares enough to assist. The employees (what few are actually on the floor) just cluster up front like they're on permanent break, staring at their phones or chatting, completely ignoring customers waving produce or asking basic questions. It's like they all collectively decided "this isn't my job" the second they clocked in. The shelves? A joke. Always, always out of the most basic organic items--organic chicken breasts, thighs, you name it. Half the time the cooler looks like it was raided days ago and never restocked. And don't get me started on the produce. They slap the "organic" label on it, charge a premium, and then give you limp, bruised, half-rotten fruits and vegetables that look like they were picked last month. I've thrown away more moldy berries, and slimy greens from this store than I care to count. For "farmers market" prices, you'd expect at least decent quality. Nope. Management? What management? I've never once seen a manager on the floor, addressing the chaos, restocking, or even pretending to care that customers are walking out empty-handed and furious. The whole operation feels abandoned. I'm done. There's a Whole Foods literally down the street that actually staffs the place, has cashiers when you need them, consistently stocks what they advertise, and sells produce that doesn't make you question your life choices. I'll happily pay a few extra dollars for competence and basic customer service. Avoid this Sprouts location like the plague. One star is generous--should be zero.
