Dollar Trees are hit or miss. Between the smell of weed and rude employees, this one ranks as a miss. Luckily, we only need a card. When we entered and an employee leaving almost hit us with the door. Also, aa customer asked for help finding a card. The employee yelled, "ma'am, its over there" and then walked off. read more

This is one of my favorite locations to come and shop. This Dollar Tree doesn't come to play. I always find some of the cutest and unique things. You are guarantee to have a cart full of items to purchase. I can never come in here for 1 or 2 things. I like how it's always something to find for any occasions. You can find so much things from household items, party items, pet accessories, snacks etc. Even though things are not a dollar anymore. You can still find some cool things for a $1.25 and don't have to break your pockets. read more

I don't think I've ever encountered worse employees, anywhere. I'm not exaggerating when I say that. I was staying in Lombard for a couple days and found that I needed some hair clips, because I'd forgotten to pack them. I arrived at the store at 8:54 pm. Now although the Yelp listing was incorrect when in i it's--they close at 9, not 10, as was on the Yelp page--I only needed that single item and so I could easily be in and out in fewer than two minutes. Plenty of time before they closed! I was surprised to find they had already locked the doors. And the woman refused to let me in. She knew it was prior to closing, but didn't care. She yelled at me through the glass and turned away me and the woman who came up about 30 seconds after me. I've worked in retail, my mom works in retail, I understand that it's annoying when folks come in and stroll leisurely near closing and I have many a time hoped that someone was going to be quick if they were coming in within 15 minutes of the closing time. But I've never once, nor have my friends and family who work in retail, ever locked the door before the time of closing, refused to let customers who arrived before closing in, and then berated them all. I found myself out in the suburbs and before going back downtown I stopped into the Dollar Tree. I love the suburb location for the huge parking lot. It was so easy to grab a spot and run in. I needed some basic party supplies and knew this would be a great spot. The store was very clean and organized, which makes it easy to shop. I found everything I needed plus a few extras. We do events at work so I can always use the extra goodies I purchased. The store was a little busy but the ladies at checkout were great. They opened another lane and worked efficiently. This certainly makes the shopping experience better. The girl who assisted me was friendly, helpful and pleasant too. Overall, this Dollar Tree served it's purpose nicely. read more

I like the store it's clean and well organized. This is my go to store when I hit the xsport gym down the street on a Saturday morning. I get my Chicago Tribune Sunday newspapers here on a Saturday and there are no limits on how many you can get. And yes it's a $1.00 each. I buy them for the coupons, love couponing! They sell seasonal items like other department stores does so of course I get my Christmas wrapping/bagging stuff here! But it's like a mini/cheapy Party City place. This place has stocked shelves which I like to see. Besides cash, they do take credit cards (visa/mc) and I think debit cards too. Recently, they also started taking manufacturer coupons for their name brand items in the store so you could probably get your item for free! Just remember one coupon per item like Colgate, Ziplock or Scottie tissues. Not all dollar tree stores sell the same name band items so you'll just have to check. The staff are also friendly too. Shopped here and i selected an item that was actually nested and there were 2 items. I counted items b4 i left store and compared receipt. Saw that there were 2 items of the same nested at this time. Store manager refused to give me refund back. DO NOT CASH OUT BEFORE YOU CAREFULLY COUNT ITEMS. TELL CASHIER YOU COUNTED XX ITEMS AND IF IT'S DIFF TO LET YOU KNOW B4 U PAY. Sure, Dollar tree stores offer cheap stuff but its not good customer service to screw you if you catch an error b4 you leave the store. I won't come here anymore. read more

Worse Dollar Tree EVER!!! You would think they would have more than 1 register open around lunchtime! 20 people in line and they don't care. Then they lash out if you complain. I complained and the employee calls me ignorant and bashes me for complaining. Then told me to leave. I will be complaining to the Manager as well! read more

nope! my daughter really had to use the bathroom and was told that it was out of order! i heard the employee she asked tell anouther employee"i don't care if i get fired, i'm not giving her the bathroom key.we were there an hr before closing, we were there at 8:10 and it closes at 9. thank goodness for the burger king near by. i was thankful she didn't crap her self in the store. we were buying stuff for christmas, its not like we were not going to buy anything! read more

All staff members were wearing their masks and kept the store tidy and neat. I came here for beauty products and they had a great selection. I work nearby so it is a convenience for me and I've visited this store several times already. read more

This store perhaps violates a privacy policy. A cashier loudly announced a person's first name after making a debit card purchase using a PIN. It was as if the cashier did not trust the person and wanted to otherwise embarrass the customer by loudly announcing the first name of a person perhaps based on race and gender and a perceived fear of mistrust. This announcing of the first name is not done for every customer and the manager indicated this by phone conversation. So to single out a customer based on race and/or gender and by a cashier of the same race even is discriminatory. If announcing someone's name is done for one customer who pays by a verified PIN using a debit card, then this should be done for ALL customers using a debit card for purchase. This may be some security measure but the store runs the risk too of losing the customer they have embarrassed and trying to protect by publicly announcing the customer's name loudly so other customers can hear and look upon the embarrassed customer suspiciously just as the cashier has looked upon the customer suspiciously and without cause or reason other than the gender and race of the person. I say, if you want your name announced loudly to the world or for all the other customers to hear, go to this store. Everyone will know your name. read more

We just had an awful experience at this Dollar Tree location. When we searched on-line, the hours indicate the store closes at 10pm. We called to make sure, and the sales associate picked up the phone and hung up on us. When we tried calling back, the phone had been taken off the hook. When we arrived at the store, the closing times for each day are missing on the front door. It only lists the opening times. My wife entered the store with my three-year-old, who only wanted a balloon. The female sales associate snapped at them and screamed that they were closed and to leave the store. What kind of sales people do that? Where's the common courtesy and respect? Take your business elsewhere unless you enjoy being yelled at by rude people. read more
