Customer service is very lacking. I've come in a handful of times and was treated very rudely by Mariana. I'm assuming she's a shift manager as she's always at the register. She seemed annoyed. I came in on a weekday afternoon and was immediately greeted. Staff told me about the new seasonal scents that they had. Another staff was stocking. I thought she was going to be the one to ring me out, but another staff came from the back. I appreciated the excellent customer service. read more

I was shopping here and after completing my purchase, I put my credit card in my jacket pocket and it was not until I was driving out of the lot did I realize that my card wasn't in my pocket. I immediately called the store and they said my card wasn't at the register and nobody "turned it in". I was back in the store 4 minutes later walking around looking, and an associate asked me if I was "looking for anything" and when I said my credit card, there was literally no response. Nobody cared enough to even speak to me about it, help me look, look at camera footage, NOTHING! I also searched the parking lot with negative results as well. I just find it interesting my card disappeared and they didn't want to help me search for it. Terrible customer service!!! read more

I haven't been to Bath and body Works in over a year, so I was surprised to see some of the changes. The three wick candles, instead of having a nice decorative glass container it is now a plain glass container with a decorated plastic wrapper around it. Similar to what you find out Walmart or target. But twice the price. Idk I thought they were more earth friendly, but seems like everything is dyed w bright colors and perfumes added. Lastly, I remember them standing behind their products. I had a 3 wick that was not burning correctly-- which they used to replace. No more. It's 90 days unused policy now. The customer service was lacking, I do remember always feeling like a thief when I go there. Everyone is bothered constantly while you're trying to shop. Then when you go to check out, there's no one there!! Anyway sad about the company as well as the standing behind their product. read more

Just left this location...I won't be back unfortunately. Your associates at this location were not very friendly. Especially Angelica at the register. She was very cold, was annoyed that I had the $10 off $40 from the website that was in-store and online that didn't have a barcode. This is a go-to spot for me for so many reasons: it's convenient, it's affordable, it's got great customer service without being cloying, and it has some of the most delightful, delicious, and decadent smelling products you can find, all the time. If I need to relax and steam myself into a state of oblivion I use their Spearmint and Eucalyptus Bath Salts. Most of the time, I have been lucky to hit it when they have this product as a buy one, get one ... or two free. This seems to be a big seller; and I certainly can see why. My other fave is a newer product and I hope they keep it around: Black Currant and Vanilla Sugar Scrub. A little goes a long way, not too sweet, not too tangy, but your skin will feel amazing. I hope this place keeps doing what it's doing: Bath & Body Works is all over the place, but for some reason, this spot does it the best. Thanks! read more

This is the best B&BW I've been to so far! The store is extremely organized - and by that, I mean there must be some severely OCD people that work here because not one body spray or candle was out of place. Wowza! I came in on my lunch break the first day they had their 3-wick candles 2 for $22. If you know nothing about candles, then trust me when I saw that B&BW have the most throw (that's candle speak for how much scent it puts off as it burns) I will never buy another Walmart candle again after experiencing how amazing their candles are. Anyway, the last candle sale they had a few weeks ago, I went to my local B&BW and they had maybe 1-2 scents left in stock and everything else was gone. I was expecting something similar at the Elmhurst B&BW since there was a sale. However, they must have got a brand new shipment because they had 3 wick candles in stock of every scent, including new scents that my local store didn't have last week. There were only two girls working so I was pretty much left on my own to smell all of the candles, which was fine by me. I ended up with 2, even though I wanted 4, but figured my candle stockpile is already 16 deep and Lord knows I don't need to surpass 20. Also, my husband would probably kill me if I walked in with $44 worth of candles. I had to wait a few minutes at the register because a lady in front of me was trying to find a coupon online that hadn't expired. Le sigh. Another lady came from the back and waited on me right as I was starting to get impatient. She was really friendly and stuck a few coupons in my bag too. I ended up taking the survey on the bottom of my receipt. I highly recommend it because you can get $10 off your next purchase of $30 or more-- plus, it's always nice to pass along positive feedback when they do a good job. If you want even more deals, follow them on Facebook or sign up for their emails/texts. There's almost always some kind of sale or deal that you can use online or in the store. read more

I have lived in the area my whole life and never knew about this location!!! I was pleasantly surprised when someone told me about it. It's in a strip mall and you have to look for it a bit. I have to say, once I walked in there, I was in heaven!!! Ha ha slightly joking but not really. They always have a full stock of candles which I love! The staff there is always so friendly and welcoming. They have a good amount of inventory. I also really like the gift sets they have available during the holidays. Poc beware. They almost fell over themselves to greet and engage me upon walking in and left me to all of five mins before another worker questioned me again. I stood at an empty counter ready to checkout and watched the salesperson wrap up a conversation with a customer walk to the register and take care of a woman that just walked up and stood by the second register. The dismissive behavior after aggressive attention during my shopping does not deserve my hard earned money. The products are mostly alcohol based and mediocre so no huge loss for me to decline patronage. read more

I've been to this location many times before but don't plan on returning after today's visit. The store was still pretty well stocked considering it is Christmas Eve but the caliber of employees is off. I was asked by a nice young lady if I was finding everything okay, which was nice. An employee named Carolyn was there (I assume she was managing the floor) and boy she was a treat! She ended up ringing up my transaction. She didn't say hello, didn't ask how I was doing, NOTHING. I asked her how she was doing and all she said was, "I'm fine." Great, Carolyn, I'm glad you're fine. I told her I had a coupon, she proceeded to ring me up and I mentioned the coupon again thinking she'd discount the free item on one of the larger body splashes but she didn't. She said, "you can either pick out another item or apply it to this smaller bottle." And I'm like, I'm sorry so you can't apply it to one of the larger bottles? And she proceeded to tell me that she didn't understand that's what I wanted to do and that it took awhile to get to that resolution. Basically spoke to me like I was a 5 year old. Really, Carolyn? You need to learn how to treat your customers with a little more respect than that. And if you are the manager of that location, I sure hope you get some additional training on customer service. First time here and Worst employee there! I walked in this employee around maybe 40s or older asked me If i needed help and i said No Thank you and then I had a quick question. I asked if the candles were on sale? And she answered so rudely! She said, " No that was yesterday the promotion did say One day only" and she laughed. What kind of Employee are you? I being 22yrs old and having respect toward my elderly just said "oh i didn't know there was a promo yesterday" I will never be back here, what amuses me that younger people that work at bath&body are more nicer than older people. Small store but has everything you need. The problem is there were 4 people working just now, only 2 of them on the register and a long line. I waited 13 minutes to pay. Why can't one of the people on the floor get on a register? The number one goal of a company is to make a profit. People are standing in line trying to give you their money, but you won't take it. I will never return to this location. It is clearly mismanaged. When I got to the register to pay, the employee could tell I was annoyed and I said to her you need more people working on the register. She did not apologize or say anything to me. They are too busy asking for people's phone numbers and emails and coupons but lack in customer service. read more

I have no trouble spending half my husband's paycheck here (joking, joking). Although it is very easy to blow a lot of money! Bath & Body Works has some of the most amazing smells around. I highly recommend their candles and hand soaps! Each season they come out with new smells. The candles are very strong and fill your house with amazing scents! My favorite for the Christmas/fall season now is frosted cranberry! Another great thing about Bath & Body Works is they have deals going ALL the time! The person that helped me was extremely helpful and friendly! She told me about all the specials they had going on and helped me pick the best scents that were right up my alley! I walked out with two 3 wick candles, AMAZING Peach Bellini hand soup (HIGHLY recommended!!!!) and oil plug ins! I love this location, just the perfect size to see everything. I found it really convenient because I was going all the way to Woodfield Mall for a B&BW. read more

I love the smell of BBW. I used to buy tons of their products when they had sales. Unfortunately, now I'm trying to buy clean products according to EWG and Think Dirty and BBW just doesn't cut it with all the stuff they put in their products. Hopefully they will clean up their act! read more

Went to the store today since the mall was extremely busy, thinking it would be quick in and out. By the time we got in line there were about 20 people or so in front of us. The people in line noticed that there was only one employee working in the whole store. Someone asked the ONLY employee working where the rest of her co workers were and she said that they ALL called in sick. How could all employees call in sick leaving one girl to manage a whole store during the Holidays (the busiest time of the year)? This poor girl, Melissa, was working her butt off and was doing a GREAT job with the crappy situation she was put in. This store clearly needs better management, I was overall disappointingly unpleased with this visit. read more

I was looking for lip gloss and they didn't have the one I was looking for the employee asked me what one it was and she brought out a box filled with lip glosses even though they didn't have the one I wanted they helped me. The workers are mean. I ask if they knew where my favorite hand sanitizer (the only one that didn't smell like dog poop) was and said to find it on my own. I told them I didn't find and they said to bad. I started looking at lotions and a worker knocked over a table of the new hand sanitizer and they all spilled out. A worker brought out a mop and slipped on the hand sanitizer and knocked over the mob bucket. At that point I put all my lotions down and left. The fragrances smell like Rotten dog poop that has been microwaved for ten minutes. I don't recommend to wast your money there. read more
