The only reason to go to this store is if you are on foot and can't drive to the store on Broadway in the shopping center with McDonalds, OR maybe an even better one in Casa De Oro. But I needed some bandage material tonight, went to 2nd St. and that aisle was barren. I wanted the big bag of popcorn and none to be found. I managed to get 2 of the last of the energy drinks. And some pasta in a pouch but that was the last too. I don't know who manages this store but I can tell you that stores with good management and funds to buy product don't wait until they are out of the category of product before they order. Here's an idea. Team up with another store to meet minimum order dollar amounts sooner, then do a store to store transfer. If you don't have product, you don't make sales. And this store is losing sales. The only clerk tonight was nice. There have been a few like him over the years, but they leave. There was one guy who was doing some sort of a promotion and yelled it out over the loudspeaker. Not everyone likes loud random noises. I could tell you more, really you're better off just shopping elsewhere. There is a Grocery Outlet in Casa De Oro, in the same strip mall as DollarTree and both of them are nice, well stocked stores. BTW, I called the shopping center's corporate office about the daytime security guard there on 2nd Street. I've been telling her for years that I was going to, and one day in that same DollarTree, she came barreling down the aisle, with some crazy issue about the cloth reusable bag I was using. Using reusable bags is the norm today. I am a senior, no problem to anyone and I don't know what her problem is unless it is race. Yeah, I'm so bad that while I was in line tonight, without a bandage for my wounded hand, and not feeling well, in pain... I asked the clerk how much the woman who was going through her change was short handed. And I paid that amount. I don't think she even acknowledged I existed. I went to this dollar tree maybe 3 weeks ago. I was trying to buy paint for some stuff me and my kids were going to decorate for Halloween & the whole isle was blocked off with boxes so we ended up going to another store. However I went in today to go see if I could buy some more paint and brushes and the same boxes and clutter that was there last time are still there.. there was only one person working at the register so I couldn't even ask her when they would be removing all that stuff so that we can actually go and get the stuff people need, because she was so busy with a line full of people. Be careful! The cashiers here will charge you for extra items you didn't buy. Check every item on your receipt and make sure you actually put it in your shopping bag! I spoke to a manager and they said they need 24 hours to pull up my receipt and they will give me call. They never did. I called them today for an update and asked for manager, it was a rude "manager" lady on the phone telling me "what are you talking about?" In the most angry rude tone. When I asked her to pass the message along to the manager I dealt with, she said "you can tell him tomorrow". Not sure why these people are in customer service. Avoid this location! read more

Last Mother's Day I came for balloons at the last minute and they sold out. The staff told me the best way to get them is to order them ahead of time. I went in person on Friday May 5th and picked the ones I liked and they would be picked up the following Friday May 12th. The manager, Keith took my order. I went to pick them up as promised on Friday and they lost them. The manager told me to grab some that they had already put helium in and said they were the same thing. First of all, I wanted balloons that haven't been blown up a week ago AND the selection they had WERE NOT THE SAME AS THE ONES I PICKED OUT A WEEK PRIOR. The manager Keith was not very professional, he just said sorry and walked away. I know damn well that he or one of his flaky employees took my balloons because they didn't have many like them. Keith needs to be replaced, that store is a mess and so is he. read more

So this dollar tree is not bad. It's a little crowded with shelves in the place but not bad, the selfish them self are clean for the most part. Most all of the Most products are full to front and back, but the face of the product was not that good, sloppy in some areas and face nice and neat in others. The stuff was good at helping me to where the product was at or going in the back to see if they had any more back there I am very pleased with that. The cashier was quick at scanning the items and asked if I wanted the receipt which most or should a say some people in other companies do not do. read more

I understand the need for this type of stores; cheap. The product selection has a lot off brands and/or smaller sizes. I would like to see more major brands too. I guess the economy is fueling the need for this type chain store. Can't say I will revisit anytime soon. read more

Well I've been here many times I am surprised I hadn't wrote a review. Perhaps I was waiting on a 4 star experience. Overall it was ok. Nothing to write home about. Or to put it in a way the younger yelpers will relate to Nothing to post on Facebook about. They do have a good selection of potato chips. I have a large wide mouth container in which I fill with 4 p r more varieties of chips. My first wife taught me this trick over 40 years ago. I still do it today. It helps me to remember to look for the good in every person or situation. Well I got a little off track. Back to the review. You do need to be careful here as on rare occasions I've seen items go for 88 cents at Wal-Mart. But isn't that true of everywhere you shop? Let the. Buyer beware. This store gets cluttered at times. Wort store EVER. and not talking about just dollar tree, WORST STORE OF ANY KIND I HAVE EVER EVER BEEN IN!!!! Employees are RUDE, slip, trip and fall hazards are EVERYWHERE BECAUSE THE STORE IS TRASHED. The entrance is pretty, but the rest of the aisles are filled with trash, spills, haphazardly stacked floor displays, product that looks like it was just dumped out of the box onto the shelves, it is an absolute MESS. clean your dang store!!!! Came here to quickly look at some of the Christmas stuff. I have always had great luck getting holiday items at this store. I needed cookie tins and they had a great variety... and you obviously can't beat the price. These tins are perfect for a cookie exchange so you don't have to worry about getting your tin back. The dollar tree has a bit of everything that you need. They do carry some great name brand items so it is always worth looking at. I always come to the dollar tree for super random stuff (Like cookie tins). I always get picture frames here for simple pictures. Also, this is super random, but Aim whitening toothpaste from here is amazing at cleaning white sneakers. I always used it on my cheerleading sneakers to get the coloring of the track off of them. Staff is generally scarce but it is the dollar tree, what do you actually need help for? Although not really around, they are always friendly. A good spot to get cheap random things. read more

I went in to do some last minute Christmas shopping and was followed around the store the whole time. It was uncomfortable and there was no reason for it. There are some good employees here don't get me wrong, but as far as handling busy times this management handles it poorly. When visiting a dollar store, I do not have high expectations. This store was very clean and nicely laid out. I was able to get what I came in for and check out within about 5 minutes. Let me just say I love dollar stores. I have organized all of my home and storage with their wonderful bins. I do about a third of my regular grocery shopping at dollar stores. I think most of their stuff is as good or even better than stuff from regular stores. If you're into crafting they have the basics you might need that would cost a lot more at Michael's, including pretty candy striped twine in every possible color and thickness. (Wish I hadn't bought the same already on eBay. ) I love the Krispy Kreme, M&M, and now Entenmenn candles! The Classic Coke glasses are really usable and nice looking. And I'm leaving out a lot of other surprisingly high quality, useful stuff. Dollar stores are a wonderful asset for people; I'd have a harder time controlling my budget without them. It's fun to hunt for this stuff, so unfortunately why must it be so miserable, frustrating and depressing to shop at some of these places, or at least this particular store? The store is new, clean enough, and fairly organized, but the customers and employees seem to make the store, so. . . Why is there negative appreciation for customers? This one especially, which is unfortunate because it has the best selection, including all the stuff you see on those YouTube organizational videos. Unlike the other stores in this area, you can't take your cart to your car. Dumb move. You want people to buy less? But whatever, I accommodate that by parking close and trying to leave my cart as close to the door as possible, only to be yelled at by the cashier, who couldn't answer any of my polite questions previously, "be careful with the cart; it can't go outside"! Maybe be careful with with your customers who are already going out of their way accommodating you. Also the other unhappy looking customers will just run into your cart. People don't seem to understand watching where they are going anymore. I think if you have a tiny smidgeon of class, maybe go to another locale, Parkway is better. For instance, while I was hunting for my stuff, a mother was marching around the store, chastising her kid at the highest decibels for farting. There's bargain shopping and then there's this. Shop at this Dollar Tree often and they are the slowest cashier that have ever existed and can have 30 people on line and S the manager is an outright snot if you ask like many do to open a second register.Come on no one wants to wait 20 minutes because you are a mope and don't care about your customers and hey don't. Second I got two $25 gift cards with purchase receipts as Christmas gifts and with my Shopping cart full three separate days it was a total nightmare trying to get the machine to take the gift cards.DO NOT buy their gift cards. On the third days and second gift card and a lot of stuff S the lady was as rude as could be even all my receipts to prove they were bought and made me after 15 minute to use a credit card fighting with me that she couldnt help me and just pay cash I don't know what to do she says. Do not under any conditions shop here unless you have a half hour to burn on line no matter when you go there are the staff are totally useless from the manager down. Terrible customer service. I was in line with all my stuff on the belt and the cashier asked me to move my stuff and go to the other register that had just opened up. That was really annoying. I had to take everything off the belt and move it. Then Sylvia, who by the way was tweeking hard, was my cashier. So I moved all my stuff to her register and she just walks away and says she will be right back so she could go talk to the other cashiers. The line starts building up. I know it is the dollar store, but minimum wage is too high to have careless tweekers making $10.50 an hour. Hire people who are actually willing to work. read more

I find it hard to believe this particular store isn't rated higher. It is always clean and well-organized, incredibly nice customer service folks, especially manager Sylvia. I don't shop there nearly as much as I should - I often find unbelievable deals on quality items, often after I have paid twice or more as much at a big-box retailer. I see a lot of teachers and folks who celebrate special events and big holidays shopping there since they have a large selection of party supplies. Today, folks were buying St. Patrick's Day and Easter decorations and supplies (yes, they had lots of Peeps, yum). I had just paid $15.00 for a large jar of coconut oil at Sprouts only to find that the Dollar Tree store had more conveniently-sized $1.00 jars of coconut oil manufactured by a women-owned, non-GMO company - if I had bought fifteen of those, I would have had twice as much quality coconut oil than I had bought at Sprout's. I bought olives that would have cost me at least 2X as much as well as cleaning supplies. The candy aisle is dangerous. Some items are clearly not top quality, others are small-sized when pro-rata compared to full-size, you are actually paying more. But for the most part, it's well-worth your time - especially if you're on a budget. Although my cousin who is relatively well-off is the one who turned me on to this store. She loves it. read more
