I finally ventured into dd's discounts and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard there was an issue with keeping items in stock but when I shopped around the store was loaded Currently they have thousands of holiday gifts and cute sweaters. Lots of home goods and tons of toys. I also found a couple of items that I had surprisingly seen at Macy's. I was shopping with a friend from out of town. We got a little goofy checking out the goods so we decided to take photos at dd's. Hey, anything for a chuckle. We both love finding deals and I will be returning

This place has poor customer services. No help around the entire store. Lady was on her phone in the dressing room while I'm just waiting. I had to walk inside to ask her for help. One of the dress I was going to try on both straps was broken, but i liked it & was going to go get it fix. Asked if they can give me a discount on it. Mind you they wrapped & staple the alarm like nothing was wrong with it. Luckily I wanted to try it on & notice it. The manage only wanted to give 10% I showed him & told him it's broken & his words " I can't because we get our full money back".. Sad they rather not try to make their customers happy He was more irritated he had to come to the front to help me.

First visit to a dd's store. I had passed by them so many times, but the brand didn't seem to be appealed. Looks pretty tacky in my opinion. When I got inside I realized it was the same concept like any other discount stores, but cheaper? Maybe? Well since they're even smaller than Ross and less well known, their stuffs were far much worse on brands, yet the price were not cheap either. I can compare a tons of different brands they carry to the Ross next door and I felt like they were not cheaper, anything you pay at the price of $12 at Ross, you would pay double here. Weird right? If there's no Ross right besides them, maybe they can attract people, but then they also have a Target in this shopping plaza, that might be a struggle for them, well I ended up not buying anything because I felt they didn't even come close to Big Lots unfortunately, admittedly they did have some cool stuffs, but wasn't interested me enough

I've shown this store to my mom because most of their stuff is her style. This past Saturday, I had 3 parties to go to back to back. The dress I had purchased online to work for my day of birthday brunch, baby shower, and engagement party unfortunately was too big on me and I didn't have anything else to wear. I came to Sara's Boutique as soon as they opened at 10am and Kasandra started collecting dresses that would work for the occasion and my petite frame. I was so impressed with how quickly she gathered 6 dresses together for me to choose from. I loved these two dresses I found but eventually decided to get the one that is less white. I can't say enough great things about this boutique!!

They have always had the most unique, colourful, and trendy collections and then colourful classic pieces for me. I am not trendy. ;-) On Wednesday, my mom and I went to lunch and a walkabout and of course had to stop in Sara's. We hadn't been inside in a year or so. I loved walking in and seeing the treasure trove of pieces that caught my immediate attention. The prices on everything are moderate. They haven't raised their prices much over the years which is amazing. I couldn't help myself, Kassandra, Sara's daughter, was assisting us and the other patrons in the shop. She was lovely! She somehow knew without me saying or mentioning or even touching that I am a pantsuit girl. She brought me two and I was sold...hook, line, and sinker! I tried on both that she brought to me and they fit like a glove. The styles and patterns were different between the two and not something I've seen in any other store which is one of the many things that makes Sara's such a gem. Thank you, Sara's (and Kassandra), for making downtown La Mesa that much more special!

I was tempted to get it but I changed my mind due to the reason I am giving this store only three stars. The service was really bad. My girlfriends and I just had lunch together and decided to stroll down La Mesa Blvd and check out the little shops. We all (5 of us) walked in excited to check it out. We walked right past the register and the salesclerk behind it. No greeting. No eye contact. We browsed through the store and the whole time the sales lady was chatting with one man and two women at the register. My friends started leaving, but I moved back to the blouse that I liked. I thought about buying it but I couldn't bring myself to support this business Because if the bad customer service. Before waking out I wanted to strike up a conversation with the sales clerk to give her a chance to redeem herself. Now there was only one other person chatting with the sales clerk. They were talking in Spanish and when I asked how long they were in business, the older lady gave and answer and then looked away from Me and went right back to talking in Spanish to the clerk. I felt as if I was invisible! In a nutshell- cute clothes, bad customer service. I believe EVERY customer should be verbally greeted when they walk in and for sure at least some point during their visit. I don't think that's too much to ask. Another note-one friend did make a purchase. After we left she told us that she was given a plastic grocery type bag for her purchase while the chatting couple was given a cute handled bag. Weird.

Store:Everything is pretty much full price, I did see a BOGO (I think) but I wouldn't know, no one bothered to advertise any promos. Lots of clothes and shoes, they have a wide selection. But I won't give an establishment my business if they can't even give any effort to do their jobs.

Unfortunately, I'm horrible with remembering names, but I was there January 10th and my appointment was at 3:30 PM (hope this helps get her a shout out). She made great selections based on the style I wanted and I ended up choosing the 3rd dress I tried on. This was my very first wedding dress appointment and I was suprised to have found the perfect dress so quickly. The prices were also very reasonable compared to other places I was looking into. Definitely recommend Prevue bridal!

On Tuesday, March 3, I called at 3:27 PM while driving from the UTC area. I saw 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM appointments available, indicating they were fairly open that afternoon, but explained I wasn't comfortable entering my credit card information online because reviews mention a strict 15-minute late charge policy. I told the associate I would try my best to make the 4:30 PM slot, and that if other brides arrived before me they should take priority. I also said that if it looked like I could arrive within the 4:45 PM grace period, I would enter my information while driving. I was communicating proactively because that day a fiery fatal tractor-trailer crash shut down southbound I-805 near I-8 for roughly 12 hours, creating traffic chaos across San Diego. As traffic worsened on the 52 East, my ETA slipped to about 4:48 PM. At 4:25 PM, I called again to explain that I likely wouldn't arrive before 4:45 PM and wanted to avoid being charged the late fee. I asked what options were available. I was simply trying to communicate proactively and avoid being charged for something outside of my control. I was repeatedly told that because I was not already in their appointment system before 4:30 PM, they could not help me at all. I suggested several reasonable options: (1) marking me as arrived so I could finish driving safely, or (2) simply working with the situation, but every suggestion was rejected. They offered to apply the $50 late fee towards a dress, but couldn't answer what would happen if I didn't find my dress there. The conversation continued in circles. At that point I was about 10 minutes away and would have arrived at 4:48 PM, just three minutes past their grace period. Despite calling ahead, communicating honestly, and making every effort to come to their store, they refused to accommodate me. My friend had come with me to help look for a wedding dress, so the situation unfortunately wasted both of our time. We ended the call around 4:40 PM, and I turned around and drove home. Ironically, at 4:45 PM, the store called back with a workaround: if I made an appointment for the next day, they could simply mark me as "arrived" in their system and take me in immediately. This made it clear they had the capacity to help the entire time, but had chosen to rigidly enforce their process instead of welcoming business. When I pointed this out, I was told they have been in business for 40 years, which makes the lack of flexibility and basic customer consideration all the more surprising. Based on this experience, I'm glad I learned how this business operates before even walking through the door. It doesn't inspire confidence in how customers are treated once they've committed, and it's not the kind of experience that would make me feel comfortable trusting them with something as personal as a wedding dress.
