I absolutely love this Marshalls! It is next door to Petsmart, and has a big parking lot. This particular store was very organized and has a variety of items. All of the Christmas stuff is out - gifts, clothing, onesies, blankets, pillows, slippers, cups, dog supplies, luggage, hair products, shoes...they even have a Grinch plate set!!! They have great deals on items, we left with a cart full! I will definitely return! read more

My girlfriend has informed me when she returned from this store that a worker made fun of her mother and she did not like to have people make comments on people she care about but I do not know who was the person that did so but this is not something my girlfriend has to deal with this when at the store. read more

Service was great. Nice cashier, friendly and pleasant. Selection was good and good priced. The reason I could only give two stars is because the restroom was filthy and there were two men outside when I parked wandering suspiciously. The parking lot is dark which really makes it feel unsafe I recommend no one go there when it's dark they need much better lighting. read more

Descent stuff as some is on sale like about 70% off Dept store and others is just ok, about average for some inexpensive things which is all good too. They stepped up theirs furniture game and have some neat wooden accent pieces. They have shoes, purses, wallets, luggage's etc so lost of options here. The clothes can be a hit and miss in the plus size section, but don't men's and women's racks tend to be full. Beware of the woman's restroom.... omg it was so Hideous today that I wouldn't even take a picture and post it because it was that disgusting. They know that people are going to come in and make a mess especially with the homelessness population in the area and all of the transients but damn a 30 minute to an hour check of those bathrooms should be required. It was so unsanitary and unhealthy that words cannot even put into place with one of the stalls look like and then behind the door of the other was disgusting. The rest of the store was pretty clean and organized. It's just if they have a lack of detail to a restroom that obviously the employees have to use too then they don't care about a lot of other things one may see or that is not seen ... that's just my two cents/opinion. read more

Finishing up my Christmas shopping, this was my last stop for some stocking stuffers. Marshall's had some great stuff! From shoes, to ugly Christmas sweaters and some really comfortable looking pajamas. I got my super cute stocking stuffers and a couple items for myself. I will say that the service here needs some lightening up. The employees at this Marshall's location are practically falling asleep? Weird. Some areas could use some cleaning up and organization. I came in today Marshalls today to shop. The cashier Miriam was very sweet and very helpful I am great full she helped me out to my car with my things. Being that I am pregnant and had toddler with me. One of her coworkers older lady with curly grey hair in the front asking people if they have a Marshall's card with them can enter a contest if you show your card was rude I declined politely but when I was leaving. The store and Miriam was helping me she looked me up and down walked towards Miriam and whispered something in her ear. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life to be also feel judge when I just came in to shop is shocking to me how comfortable some employees can act disrespectful towards a person who has not given them attitude or have been rude. I'm an avid shopper of Marshall's, TJMaxx and HomeGoods, and this is the worst one I've been to. The products are lousy, there are always lines and I've had some unpleasant interactions with their staff. One instance in particular, there was a massive swarm of bees directly in front of the store's entrance. When I notified the manager, she said that bees are endangered, so they couldn't kill them. I never said anything about killing the bees, but the professional and safe thing to do would be to call someone to move the hive elsewhere so your customers don't get stung. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't even bother going to this store anymore. read more

Located in petsmart parking lot to the left of the mall this Marshalls is a nice tucked away gem. It's never really overcrowded or picked through like some other locations. They have a bigger clothing section and some quality housewares items. I can always find something I was looking for and a few things I didn't even know I needed here. read more

I came to Marshall's looking for a cell phone charger. I walked in and managed to find a long black wire that costs $15.99. It's a Duracell brand which seems to last a long time. I'm hoping this wire will last awhile. I kept browsing the store to see what other stuff they had. My daughter found a Hello Kitty flashlight and a small Barbie mini Lego set. Both cost around $4.99. Not bad. I ended up getting her the Hello Kitty flashlight. When I went in line, I didn't have to wait long. The cashier rang me up quickly. She asked if I found everything I needed and said yes. They don't have the chip reader if you're paying by credit card. You still have to swipe your card the regular way. Quick and easy. There's plenty of parking in front of their store. Getting in and out is easy. Pretty fun shopping experience. read more

My first time walking in to the store I didn't know what to expect; what this going to be another big lots or pick and save? To my surprise I found some really cool merchandise very reasonably priced. And there is everything from clothing, house wares, baby supplies, shoes to furniture and travel luggage. I understand that inventory changes weekly. They have a lot of brand-name markdowns and not so hot items. Love love love! if you have time to dig and ensure that the clothes aren't damaged this is the place to come for cheap non-used clothes. I personally don't have a lot of patience for that since I hate shopping but on those brief and few and far between days I do like shopping I come here for some cute steals and deals! I really love coming here more for kitchen supplies, frames, bags, and shoes. Pretty much anything you would need for a kitchen you can find here. Pots, pans, woks, baking dishes, mugs, aluminum water bottles (at most 10 a pop for the fancy kind), dishes, cooking gadgets. The list goes on. The shoe selection can vary from designer like Stewart Weitzman to off brand hideious, thus the digging. The bags are the same way. I've found Michael Kors bags for under 100 bones here. The one downside is that is can be kind of a mess. Disorganization drives me nuts and this place is a serious offender. And sometimes it can take forever to get through check out. The tellers are in no rush to get you serviced. (That sounded dirtier than I meant it to.) Overall I still love the place. I walked over to this Marshall's while I was waiting for my car to be serviced. I wasn't expecting much other than a way to kill time, but I was actually impressed with how well organized this location is. Anyone who shops at Marshall's knows that they all have their own unique personalities and vary based on their locations. This is hands down the best Marshalls in San Diego. Everytime I come in I find something i must have. Good shoe selection. I always find James Perse brand shirts for $20 and sometimes they are on clearance...These shirts are such good quality, last a long time and are usually 3 times that price! They have a good selection of candles, so much athletic clothes especially yoga clothes, a decent underwear selection and even a good kitchen area! They have giant bags of Harbro gummy bears which are my favorite and organic lollipops! Marshalls gives me the great deals! I love Marshalls. read more

I didn't stay in the store long because my boyfriend only needed new socks. The store was very clean, which surprised me, because most discount department stores can be cluttered and unorganized. The sections of the store were very distinctive, and it was not hard finding the area we needed to go to. We ended up browsing around the kitchen and bathroom areas and were surprised at the amount of inventory they had. The cashier was very nice and had excellent customer service skills, asking us if we found everything okay. I would definitely recommend going here, because you'll never know what treasures you'll find. I will definitely be coming back!! read more

It's worth driving to Mission Valley to avoid the jerks who work here. I am an avid Marshall's/TJMaxx/Homegoods shopper and this is the WORST location to shop because of their TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have a great selection, they the manager is always rude and won't speak to customers about the decisions she makes. Most recently, was purchasing three comforters (all the same exactly item - size, color, etc.) and two of them were marked down. I asked if the 3rd could be price matched to the other two and was told by the cashier that the manager said no since "it came in at a different time". As of that matters? Why would I pay more for the same exact product simply because it arrived to their store on a different day? The manager never came over and always has an attitude when I see her there. I've noticed that on days I shop and she isn't there, the rest of the staff is much nicer too. Sucks that this location is the closest to me, I hate giving them business. I have plenty of other examples of why this specific location has the WORST managers but this review is already long. read more

Truly a fan of Marshalls. I could live here and buy the things I never knew I needed! Everything is tidy and organized which is why I tend to choose marshalls over Ross because the clutter at Ross just makes me anxious. One star down because I decided I didn't want 2 shirts and put them back in the woman's section by some shirts... along comes one of the workers and starts giving me attitude that she has just organized this section and that they didn't belong there. Made me super uncomfortable with the attitude and I apologized and walked away. I just can't stand walking into a business and being treated like that after I am giving you MY MONEY. This is my favorite Marshall's out of the few in San Diego. They are always bringing in new items at discounted prices that I love. The store is clean and organized and almost all of the employees are friendly. My boyfriend and I wanted to purchase a large wooden drawer/TV stand however weren't sure if it would fit in either of our cars. Stephanie, an employee there was soooo helpful and sweet! She helped us measure it, and even let us borrow a measuring tape to run out and measure our trunk. Not only that but she had it ready at the front of the store and even helped us load it into our car in the pouring rain.
