Ocean State Job Lot is like a Big Lots or some kind of Overstock/Clearance store. It has everything! From snacks and pet supplies to furniture and reading glasses, just go up and down the aisles to discover all kinds of treasure! I got some tote bags with donut prints for our annual Dash For The Donuts (Unofficial Yelp Event in Honolulu by Ric C., every January 1st). I also got a handcarry rolling luggage for $40. I should have measured the fit at the store. When we got home, I realized that the tote bags were taller than the interior of the luggage. We went back to Ocean State Job Lot and returned it easily because it was within 90 days. Thanks for the friendly, efficient service! This was a fun shopping adventure! I got some things for my friend's house like disinfecting wipes and permanent ink pens. There were so many useful items at reasonable prices! I'm looking forward to returning!

My friend finally decided on a couple of boxes... and we went on our way. (She's making goodie bags for guests who are staying over at the hotel where her son is getting married... thoughtful, isn't she?) Customer service was excellent. They asked if we found everything we needed. We asked if they had postcards... one of the gals did a search on her phone and came to the conclusion that they didn't have any... Sorry, friends... At this point it's funny! It's like the driver purposely drops it off somewhere else. If we didn't have Covid, we would go drive around the neighborhood looking for our package like the last two times. Now I have to wait 48 hours to see if my refund is accepted. I'm about done with Walmart. Stopped shopping there a while ago but have a card that they accept. Walgreens seems real nice about now lol.

One BIG downside though... the hours right around when customers might pop in after work (6-7ish) they always seem to have someone going around the store with a floor polishing machine. It's loud, it puts out terrible smelling exhaust fumes and the operators often DONT CARE who's in the way as they push it down the aisle paying more attention to their phone than where they're going. But for the customers who want to support Weis, there's zero appreciation in return, just one slap in the face after another! With some corporate scamming thrown in, as well! On the lousy self-selve registers, the software has trouble holding the scanned store card information during a multi-item order, which would be most transactions...and keeps knocking the store card necessary to obtain the sale prices off the profile! Despite scanning of the store card with assistance of a manager multiple times, sale prices still wouldn't show, causing the register to overcharge and reflect the original inflated price! Pepperidge Farm Double Dark Chocolate Milano Cookies, for eg., were supposed to be on sale for $3.99, but at Weis's faulty self-serve register, they were $4.99, causing us to overpay. Then, for the real fun and humiliation, we had to go to the customer service counter (I use the term loosely) to get the overcharge corrected, where the female employee said, quoting, "I don't want to hear your story!" More checkers need to be hired, and employees on duty need to immediately help out at other registers when the line of customers on the one open hits 10 people--or even more than 5 or 6 people! Fix the software to reflect sale prices, for goodness sake, and accommodate customers with disabilities. Who needs to spend Labor Day at the pool or beach, when you can waste away at the Franklin Weis and be made to feel like two cents?

The container in the picture on the left was to be a chicken quesadilla. When it arrived it came with Russian dressing. Barely any cheese & was dry. We called explained we were not satisfied, the person we spoke to sounded like they could careless.. After a few minutes they offered to replace them. Next we received a call back stating they did not have enough chicken to fill 2 orders... We asked for one to be beef, was told they were out of beef. When the replacement order arrived it was worse than the first. This time the chicken is dried & the cheese is funky. The only good thing is it came with sour cream & not salad dressing.. Very disappointed

Don't expect to buy a used table or couch and not need to clean and rehab it a bit. I personally feel the price is worth the few extra hours you will need to get it up to par. I was given the clasp back because they said it was valuable. They then asked if they could keep it to get the proper replacement. They called me with a price of $70. I picked it up and paid, but when i returned home the original gold clasp was not there. I called and they said they kept the orininal piece as a part of the payment. Is this a common practice? It was a good size piece of gold and the replacement was $70 for the exact same thing. Not Happy about this outcome. Don't know what to do next.

The Shoppe is quite extensive with two floors. We walked up to the second floor. I can't even count the number of cute gift rooms we walk through. It seemed endless. LOL... You can definitely pick up a cute gift for most anyone. The woman behind the counter were very nice. The shop is located at 103 Rt.15 in Lafayette, NJ. Trust me, you can't miss the shop when driving on Rt. 15. Parking is available in the entire area.
