Although this Big Lots location and many others are permanently closing, I would like to share an…read moreexperience I had at the Franklin, IN store. 30 minutes before closing, a male employee yelled throughout the whole store-- "We are closing in 30 minutes please take your selections up to the front" and continued to yell it very loudly 2 more times over the next 20 minutes (not speaking over an intercom). Even the other shoppers were looking at each other disconcertedly because of how loud the employee was yelling. Another female employee with black glasses was also coming around and reminding people but I wasn't affected by her until I came up to the front. It turned exactly 7 o'clock. I took two items out of my cart before going 4 feet up to the register and the same female employee approached me in a very rude tone saying-- "We are LITERALLY closed. You need to leave now". As someone who works in the service and healthcare industry, I've never spoken to any customer in a manner quite like that. I didn't approach the store minutes before they close. I was reviewing my items in the cart and actively approaching the register. The Big Lots store in Columbus however, is managed in a much better way and they don't yell throughout the store. As for those employees in Franklin's Big Lots, they will leave a bad impression for the last people to ever shop in a Big Lots store. Despite loving my purchase, the customer service was very disappointing.

I found the dresser after Dawn closed on Saturday and the shop was closed till Tuesday. She made it very convenient to purchase through PayPal and I picked up Tuesday evening. She was great to work with especially since we ran into two large traffic backups which put us at her shop 2 minutes before closing. She waited for us and her husband, I'm assuming, helped my husband load the dresser. Both were very friendly and she was informative and communicated timely. Dawn's thrift shop appeared to have many options to browse from furniture, clothing, shoes, home goods, plus so much more. The prices are reasonable with a wide variety of items. Worth a visit if you enjoy exploring thrift shops for good deals.

This shop has very nice decor items and furniture. They also had some clothing. I liked seeing furniture, clothing, home and holiday decor all tastefully arranged together in each space. The store has a few narrow isleway's but most are spacious enough to browse comfortably down. They do have a dressing room to try on clothing you are interested in. The volunteer staff is super friendly, cheerful and welcoming. We were told their story and encouraged to look around. Prices ranged from really reasonable to high. Clearance tables were in the back. Inventory changes regularly. The building is upscale from the outside and a little hard to find as it is located at the end of one way street. There is street parking around the building. Worth a visit if you're remodeling and looking unique decor.

Hehe…read more I used to go to this one exclusively until they built one a little closer to my house - on Emerson and County Line road in Greenwood. I would actually drive out of my way to go to this one because the one on US 31 in Indianapolis is extremely icky on many levels. I still go to the Walmart in Franklin if I'm close to it because it's located near my mom's house. I even worked at this Walmart for about four months (years ago) in the garden department. But,....alas, that's a whole other story. :-) As always, the prices are very competitive and this Walmart never seems to be really busy so that's another plus. All in all, it's a Walmart, so I guess I will always have a love/hate relationship with the place one way or another.

My 30+ years of experience and…read moremanagement one thing I've learned is when your employees are bad it's usually because of the manager. this Walmart has the worst employe experience I've ever seen. I've visited many Walmarts in my life. in fact at one time I was a Walmart manager... and I would have never allowed what happening here.
