This is actually the second time I've had a bad experience here. The first time, A MANAGER yelled at an employee in front of me for letting me open/look at new boxes -- it felt like she was trying to make a point at me, so I didn't leave a review. This second time, I came in the afternoon looking for Hot Wheels and asked if there were any new boxes or Did they had any new model. She told me "no," which is fine, I understand. I thanked her and started leaving. But as I walked out, I heard her ask another employee something like, "Did you give somebody new boxes?" in a rude tone. It felt like she was talking about me again, and it was honestly uncomfortable and unnecessary. Being told "no" is fine, but the attitude both times is not. Dollartree sounds like Adultery and for that reason I love this store. I prefer a Dollar Bush, a Dollar Shrub, or even a Dollar House Plant. But anyway. Not boring (Duller Tree), they don't sell crack here (Dealer Tree), and you can't pick me up for sex here (Holla Tree). It's not often the Barbie goes into a Dollar store and says that it's like the best dollar store ever. She really likes this one and that's why it makes me really sad to find out they closed down. I'm not sure why they did or what can make a dollar store go out of business, but hey. It's a shock, and they seemed really busy to me. That was a pretty sad turn of events honestly. Hopefully it's all a lie. And if it handed out organs to dying people, it'd be Donor Tree. Unfortunately it doesn't. And with all the money it generates, it totally could. It's a little better than the ghetto dollar stores, but not as good as the ones that have the frozen food section and all the other dollar store bells and whistles.This one is a clean dollar store to go into to get your themed party goods and small stuff the dollar stores sell. Its located in the S. Post Oak Walmart Parking lot over behind the Luby's. Like any dollar store, sometimes you can go in and find something that make you say "wow a dollar for this." Absolute worst customer service ever. I've worked in retail and restaurants for most of my Adult life and have never dealt with such a rude manager. I visited the store on Friday August 7th. While checking out, the register shut down while my card was inserted. The Cashier told me that it said approved but to wait and see if it went through. The manager Mr. Will had went into the office to check and later came out and told me that it had not gone through. So I then decided to pay cash. When I got to my car, I decided to check my bank account and it showed pending. I called to make sure that it would drop off. The Manager insisted that it would drop off by Monday. Saturday August 8th, the transaction posted on my bank account. I immediately went up to the store to ask for a refund for the transaction that I was overcharged for. The manager on duty told me to come back Monday and to talk to Mr. Will and that he works morning shifts. I called him first thing Monday morning to make sure that he would be there and to let him know I was getting off early from work in order to make it before he left. I brought my cash receipt and I printed out my bank statement showing the posted transaction. When I got there he told me there is nothing he can do and he gave me the corporate number. At this point I am beyond irritated but I still remained calm and nice. I went out to my car to call corporate. I never once even had an option to talk to a real human. It got my phone number and just says Goodbye! I go back inside to talk to Mr Will and explain that this is their mistake and that I just want a refund for the money I was charged extra. He continues to say that there is nothing he can do and then walks away from me and hides in the office. The worst part other than being out almost $40 is that not once did Mr Will apologize or even seem like he cared at all. read more

This one is apretty decent Dollar Tree. Things are somewhat organized and tidy! If you want a $1 Sunday paper you better her there as soon as the store opens. This location is by a Marble Slab. As far as dollar stores go, this one is par for the course. Substantially sized with just about everything you can find at any other dollar stores, nothing in particular stands out. The one thing that I will give them immense credit for is that the place is organized and clean. You can navigate through the aisles without having stuff strewn everywhere that you have to climb over, and if something is in stock, it's right there where it should be. The one major knock on the place has to be a lack of people working. There were maybe two people working while we were there, with over a dozen people in line waiting to check out. The second person materialized about halfway through the line and took a few customers to alleviate the situation and get us out faster. read more

It's a nice store with food. I found some of the food questionable, which is why I had to knock off a star. What I think was great was the storage and classroom supplies. I was able to snag a few things that would be helpful for me. I think if you need basic supplies in large quantities, this would be a good place to visit. The store is clean, the cashiers are a bit angry, but mostly at life not the customers, but it does make it slightly uncomfortable when they joke how much their life or shift sucks at the moment. So to review: Avoid the food. Do grab the party items, storage containers, and classroom materials. The decorative stuff is a bit questionable in taste, so go there on a case by case basis. You may be better off buying a decorative item for full price if you're only reason to come here is to look at the vases. read more

I am a Dollar Tree FAN! Who doesnt love a good bargain. Just like everyone else I have been to plenty of Dollar Trees. I moved nearby in May and every time I visit this location the shelves are ALWAYS bare. Its as if they are never fully stocked. The customer service is very unwelcoming. I came here one time at 8:58am and they open at 9am. The workers literally stared at me and a couple of customers and did not open the door until 9:01am, the guy watched his phone. I have worked retail and we normally opened 5 mins before the time on the door. I only come here when I desperately need to. read more

Dollar Tree, for me, is a great go-to spot for birthday party supplies and goody bag items. Because they rotate stock, selection on party themes may vary, but you can always find solid color table cloths and utensils. They also have balloons, and will blow them up for you. The big bonus is that everything is actually a dollar in Dollar Tree. This particular location is always clean a well-stocked, and the employees are friendly. read more

Been here a couple times to pick up small items. This dollar store is about average with other stores, nothing that sets them apart but is good for party decor/favors. Pretty clean and staff is decent, I've been to other dollar stores where the staff gets upset if you ask them a question. So many decorative items, balloons, huge nice looking party hats, so many many toys. #1, if you're looking for pretty averige size latex and mylar balloons, come here or any Dollar Tree store, they have good variety of ballooons and at a good price! You will save money! If you're looking for party favors for anything, come here! It is truly a dollar on everything at Dollar Tree stores. Although this Dollar Tree may not be in the greatest of neighborhoods, it is one of the biggest in Houston and offer lots of stuff. The employees are really nice too.
