I saw that my sister had a clear backpack and that reminded me that only small bags and clear bags are allowed in the stadium. I thought about Walmart, but passed it on the freeway. I saw a Marshalls sign, and took the next cutoff. GPS led me to this Marshalls. My friends like Marshalls more than the other discounted stores. They think the merchandise is better and the stores are more tidy. I agree and appreciate that there's a clean restroom for customers! There was free, shared parking and lots of it! I parked quickly and walked into the bright, air-conditioned environment... thank you! I strolled through the shoe department, passed the pet toys, and wandered around the bags. Finally, I perused the Clearance area and found a set of clear cosmetic bags with travel-sized squeeze bottles! It was perfect because it was trimmed in navy blue... one of the school's colors! There are adding Soju Blues, Dim Sum King and Nomi Nori that will crowd this parking lot every single day. I normally park at Sterling Plaza parking lot and walk over. Here is a quick glance at the mall, at the moment: Suite A - Soju Blues (Opening soon) Suite B1 - Okome Don Suite B - Dim Sum King (Under Construction) Suite C - Qi Ao Salon 奇奥 Suite D - Jasmine Asian Cuisine Suite E - Happy Lemon Suite F - San Dong Noodle House 山東麵館 Suite G - Nomi Nori (Opening soon) Suite H - Street Churros Suite I - R&B Tea Suite J - Honeymee Suite L - Sunright Tea Studio There are a couple more spaces vacant at Suite M and S. When Pokemon was so popular, people crowding the fountain at the corner of this mall to hunt treasures. The fountain is made of 3 koi fishes spitting to the center. In 2012, it was frozen solid like a perfect ice sculpture. The front building used to be Chase Bank until 2018. It closed due to a minor fire accident. It's now a clinic. When there were no cars and on a clear day, you can see Tan Tan Restaurant 新新饭店 smack on your face. Because it opens late, neon signs normally lit up this mall. During Lunar New Year, the storefront is dressed with festive decorations. Many smaller businesses facing Ranchester which is perpendicular to Tan Tan in the L shaped mall. They are kind of hidden away. Because the parking lot is so crowded during weekends, I rarely come back.

So this is yet another great Plaza in the heart of Chinatown which helps make Chinatown the heartbeat of Houston.
