I stopped by this Dollar Tree store with my wife tonight because we were nearby grabbing dinner and she remember that she needed to get some birthday cards. There was plenty of parking when we came so I got a spot right in the front. When we walked inside, the store follows the same layout like any other Dollar Tree store so the greeting and birthday cards will be toward the right side of the store. While she was looking for cards, I walked around the store and went to the snack zone. The prices are very reasonable here, they also have frozen food toward the back. There was only one cashier line open tonight but that seems to be the theme at every Dollar Tree store I been to. The lady working tonight was very efficient and the line didn't take long. read more

Carmen the cashier was very professional and polite. She was the only cashier and was getting balloons for her customers. There were alot of us in line while she was getting balloons. I walked to another female employee and asked her if there was only one cashier available. She rudely said, I don't know, I work over here." Then I asked her if a manager was available, she said he's over there and ignored me after that. I walked around to the next aisle and saw a male who was putting Items on shelves. I asked are you the manager? He said yes, I asked can you have someone open another register because the cashier is getting balloons. He rudely said "I'm not at the register" I repeated, cashier is busy with balloons. He said "I'm over here" I noticed his name is Andrew. Just because you sell cheap product doesn't mean you should hire rude disrespectful employees. I will certainly never go in that store again because the customer service is trash! The Cashier Carmen did a great job and should teach your manager how to communicate with customers. This is why Amazon and Walmart win! I'm just curious if there's a minimum requirement of politeness for being a cashier. I was really thrown off by the indifferent attitude of the cashier (Kelsey). She was chewing gum the whole time she was helping customers (and not in a good way), not a smile on her face and felt like she was bothered by the customers being in the line. Also, when she dropped an item while scanning, she didn't even bother to make an effort of picking up, just gave a fake "sorry" and moved on. I come here all the time, and it's a decent store, but the customer service I received today was bad enough to write a review. My 74 yr old mom needed to use the restroom. I noticed the one cashier on duty had a long line so I asked another employee, Veronica who didn't seem busy if she could help. She just told me to ask the cashier for a key. I asked but the cashier paid no attention, I assume because of the long line of customers. Veronica seemed bothered to help, but eventually got manager keys and let us in the restroom. She said as I was walking out " can you put the basket back where it was" which I did! I like this location too, it's right out of Sepulveda exit from 118 Freeway, easy to find has big parking lot and it's usually clean and organized, that's all you need in bargain stores. I usually get balloons from here (the regular size)! They do have big selection for all occasions. Well, I just love this store. I normally don't have a specific reason for going but I never leave with under 5 bags of items that I forgot I needed. They have a good selection of party ware. I would only get this here if it's going to save me time. The 1.25 sounds good but the quantity is usually very low. This does apply to many items BUT not to all. There is a huge selection of plastic storage goods and I'm addicted!! From sandwich containers to laundry baskets and everything in between. Awesome selection and always needed. Also check out the dry goods food section. Cookie and cake mixes are never 1.25 at your regular market. So look for some great buys here. All in all I come here to clear my mind. It's one of my Happy Places. It always feels good to leisurely push a cart around and look at all the things you probably don't need. If you do fill your cart, no worries cause you're at the Dollar Tree. And for me, it's a fun, happy place. read more

This is such a great Dollar Tree! It's brand spanking new, clean, organized and there is plenty of parking. I like that when I come into the store, it's easy to find what I'm looking for so I can come in and out quickly. My favorite aisle is definitely the greeting card section. You can get a card valued at $3 for just $0.50. Doesn't sound like much, but I usually come in and buy 10 cards at a time because someone always has a birthday, anniversary, etc. I'm really glad Dollar Tree is popping up in more and more locations. read more

Store #6165, 10155 Balboa Blvd. On Saturday's and Sunday's from about 3:00 to 4:00 one cashier can be found taking care of a massive line. While the only other cashier is at lunch. This location's manager she has been made aware of this issue by the regular customers. There are no bad teams, just substandard leaders. Way to motivate the employees, get them yelled at on a regular basis by upset customers due to a team coverage deficiency. My daughter and I came to this Dollar Tree and we were very excited. We had visited this location before. We started shopping and my daughter informed me that she needed to use the restroom. I went to the front and asked for the key. When I opened the bathroom door I saw that it had no toilet paper, paper towels or toilet seat covers. It was bare! I took my daughters hand and walked her to the front to where the employee was and told him that there was nothing in there. The employee took the key and said, "there's nothing I can do right now" WHAT!!! My daughter was going to have an accident and there's nothing you can do??? Can't you take one of the million toilet papers from the shelf and give it to me to use? We didn't even continue shopping. We left! By the way, there was stuff on the floors in every aisle.
