When it comes to customers they walk by them and if they are stocking or putting things back on the shelves or racks... they don't greet or ask if they can be of some sort of assistance. Today I returned a few items and the cashier was not pleasant to save the day. Talking to a manager is futile because the managers don't even greet the customers. Been coming to this store a long time nothing ever changes. Fortunately for HomeGoods this store sells itself ... to depend on the employees would be disastrous.

My only gripe is how MESSY an USED the makeup were -- I didnt find any lip products and powders I liked because they were all smashed up, or someone had opened them before I arrived. So if you want to have your house or apartment smell like the African nation of Wakanda (forever), or Natasha Romanova's home in Russia from the Marvel movies, then you can buy either The Black Panther, or Black Widow difusers. Now product: I can see how rotating stock could be annoying, but the basics are ALWAYS there and I'm always a sucker to try something new, and they always have something new and interesting. I've tried so many new things since they came to town. Then the piece we ALL care about: price, say whatever you want but I KNOW I get so much more for my dollar here. For instance I was in Napa and came across a wonderful Lil winery. Went in did a tasting and my friend that lived in Napa ended up joining their club... why do I tell this story? Because Grocery Outlet is selling their wine for WAY less than I paid from the winery! (See photo of Brendel Wine). Or, I love buying little snacks for work to share with my fellow VA hospital employees. I can buy so many fun treats, and I don't break the bank. (See photo assorted snacks I bought today). Again, IF you have your heart set on a specific item, you may be sad. But if you have the attitude of 'let's see what fun we find today' YOU'LL LOVE THIS PLACE. As someone who enjoys wine, I was pleasantly surprised by their "Wine Wednesday" deals, offering 10% and sometimes even 20% off when buying six bottles. They also carry a solid selection of craft beers, which makes it even better. One thing to keep in mind is to always check expiration dates--this is part of how they keep prices so affordable. The management and checkout staff are consistently friendly, which makes shopping there even more enjoyable. Needless to say, I find myself there almost every Wednesday!

Once I was inside, all I could think about was, "Why didn't I come here sooner?" Not only did they have a lot of cozy Christmas decor but they also had some everyday items. From home and kitchen decor, and even stuff for your bedroom(s) and bathroom(s). They even sold furniture and lighting fixtures. But I'd say more than half of the store was Christmas-related. Think: Pier 1 Imports. The workers were all busy but helpful. A young man helped me look at something from one of the top shelves. Overall, I came out with more stuff than I needed - at a fraction of the cost! I'll be back again to check out more everyday items after the holidays.
