The place is extremely dirty. It smells really bad. It's never stocked properly boxes everywhere. It's absolutely disgusting. I would not recommend going there at all. The people that work there are extremely rude. Lazy and not helpful. If you're looking for a balloon go somewhere else because if they're not out of helium, they say they're out of balloons and they're just too lazy to blow them up. The store here in Napa is the absolute worst dollar tree I have ever been in. Today I thought I would stop in to pick up a couple of things. As I was attempting to go to a different section, I smelled something very off. It was then that I realized I had stepped in a pile of dog poop and almost slipped. There was no dog to be found and no employee available to report this to. They were out of many items and things were a mess. There was only one self check register available as it backed up behind me while I tried to ring up my items. I have been to other Dollar Trees in different cities, and they are not nearly as bad as this one here in Napa I sure wish someone would come in and take over and clean it up and make it a nice place to shop.! read more

I don't think anyone comes here expecting to have an amazing shopping experience. You know when you're coming in here for: Cheap goods at great prices. Not all Dollar Trees are created equal though. This one has dim lighting, open boxes in all the aisles, and half empty shelves. The parking lot directly in front of the store is small but it's located in a shopping plaza so you can find more with a little longer walk. They don't face a lot of competition in Napa as there is no dollar general or 99 cent store here so if you need cheap seasonal wares, kitchen utensils, food, bathroom and cleaning basics - this is the spot! read more

This dollar store is an absolute mess! I understand that it is a dollar store (not a Target or anything) but wow! I've never seen so much filth at an establishment. Today I went in and there was a bucket near the utensils with recycling in it (gross and so unprofessional) their shelves were empty and boxes are literally everywhere! To top it off they had no bags for your purchases. How is this place even still in business?! Come on Napa! We need a better dollar store! read more

I haven't been in the dollar tree for a while, and boy has it come along way. That place is spic and span. I noticed the workers trying to get those shelves filled but, with it being the only dollar store in town I'm sure it's difficult. That place was a mess a year ago. It was a very nice day and everything was pleasant until I walked into this Dollar tree branch in NAPA. I was discriminated against and humiliated by the staff, the cashier in particular. I was wearing a mask and I was being ridiculed by the staff and other customers that were waiting in line, more importantly, was initiated by the staff. She would also groan at me for requesting for birthday balloons as well, which I found to be quite disrespectful and unpleasant. I think this may be the only Dollar Tree type stores in Napa. I would say it's centrally located on Jefferson, next door to Golden Bagel & McDonald's. The actually parking lot, in the front of the store, is super, duper small and kind of weird to maneuver, especially with an SUV or bigger car. Good thing the actually shopping strip has ample parking, if you're willing to walk a little. The front of the store has dramatically been cleaned up as it appeared to have stock in the front of the store in boxes, and it was visible because the front is all windows. The actually store, in comparison to other Dollar Tree locations is on the small side. Nevertheless, they seem to be pretty well stocked and somewhat clean. They recently installed self check out stalls, which is super convenient. It even has the check out in spanish if you need it. Employees here come and go. Manager is unwilling to help the firefighters. I came here during the Atlas fire. I requested to speak with the manager to see about a discount on the energy shots if I bought a large bulk of them for the FIREFIGHTERS. The answer was no. A resounding unapologetic no. I was wearing my county reflective vest and I had plenty of credentials on me, but no, no discount, not even a penny. This was made even worse by the fact that those same energy shots are normally cheaper at Walmart. The lack of compassion or thanksgiving was horrid. read more

The first couple of times I came to Napa's Dollar Tree, I was not impressed. It took them awhile to replace the old party supply store sign with their own, and they are better about re-stocking now. They have a surprisingly good selection of vegan/vegetarian items, despite the fact Grocery Outlet is a better bet. They have Larry the Cable Guy biscuits&gravy (is he still popular?), veggie burgers as well as Jamaican vegetarian "patties." I saved a lot of money on basic supplies... unfortunately, the drain cleaner was meh. I'll have to spring for a Liquid Plumber. This Dollar Tree, unlike others I've been to, is also well-staffed. They were doing a business at 9:30 in the morning, with a busy lot (some had to park out by McD's), and they had enough registers open. They have a sizable Christmas section... since it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. read more

YAY for more discount stores in Napa! Napa is such an expensive city,its nice to have a discount store. But don't expect super great quality when you come. When you do a price comparison, say candy, ounce per ounce, you're not getting that better deal. But sometimes, you'll find some great deals. Recently, I found some glass food storage bowls with lids for $1 -that's a great deal! I come here when I know I don't need something that will last a long time, or just need a smaller quantity of an item. read more

Okay so I went to the store earlier on the day and got two Easter boards (ones I was specifically looking for , for a project). I didn't see them on the floor so I just looked real quick at the boxes piled in the front. I saw a box (already opened) with the boards I wanted. I asked the cashier if I could have 2. They said yes. I made my project and a lot of my family wanted me to make some for them. So I went back tonight. I forgot they closed at 8 instead of 9 so I walked in at 7:50pm. The manager DOMINIC was standing there and I said "sorry! Can I just grab some of these boards?" And he said very rudely "no! All of this is going to the back, you can't take any!" And I said "well the cashier let me buy two from here earlier" and his response was "well who was it!?! Because I'm going to write them up! So who was it? They're not supposed to do that!" And I responded with "sorry, I don't recall." And he said "well no you can't buy them, it's a full case." I then proceeded to say " well actually it's not... I mean the box was open when I bought two. So it's not a full case anymore. I just want to buy a bunch." And he said "well how many? Hurry up I wanna close the store". I grabbed my 10 boards and checked out. Sorry sir, but I don't think that cashier deserves to be written up for making a customer happy and having good customer service.
