Who doesn't like a Dollar Tree. Sad to say that these types of stores always seem to get hit in the city when there are looters, but out here ours does just fine. As usual, pretty good selection of stuff if you hit their sweet spot - from the ridiculous to the sublime and from cents to a $1. While you will never confuse a Dollar Tree with a Hallmark, every once in awhile you just need one of those inexpensive store runs. Nice location in an L-shaped strip mall at the corner of 151st and LaGrange (Dominick's used to anchor this mall). Loads of parking, pretty messy store but not dirty, and they seem to be busy all the time. Employees are helpful, but they are sometimes hard to find - must be short staffed. read more

Went to Dollar Tree today. I needed lots of packs of travel size tissues. I couldn't find them so I asked. The employee also loaded my basket up with these because I have a knee injury. I wish I knew her name. She was so kind. Thank you! read more

I don't have a problem with this Dollar Tree location, but I must admit that the Tinley Park location on Harlem Avenue is a way better choice. The Orland Park location isn't well stocked, it's a bit messy, and they are short staffed. The customer service is good though. read more

Wouldn't process ZERO STARS: I spent an hour this morning in Dollar Tree, (former Tuesday Morning location), looking for 12 glass votives for a remembrance for 12 people who have passed, and took time looking down every aisle....there was nothing there I wanted. Arrived home, found the 12 glass votives were not wide enough for the candles, so I took them back for a refund to my charge. The Manager (not older than 20-ish girl with a sassy attitude, who obviously came across as having no management education or customer service skills), refused to credit my charge, nor would give a credit to use at another time. I was firmly told that I needed to look for something else at that moment as they only do exchanges. I did not need anything as noted above, was insulted by her attitude, so I left my receipt in front of her and said "keep your money". With a happy tone, she replied "thanks, I will". I told her I will never come there again. read more

I always shop at Dollar Tree but this is my first visit to this Orland Park store. You would think a store in Orland Park would be a little more cared for. Don't know if it's from lack of staff or what, but this place is a mess. From the dirty floors to the very messy shelves. Also, it lacks some the items I purchase at other Dollar Tree Stores. Very disappointed appointed with this location. I won't be back. read more

This Dollar Tree location is one of our favorite locations. They usually have everything well stocked and the employees are very helpful. If they don't have something at this location, they will refer you to the closest dollar tree. The only negatives are that they seem to be short-staffed because it is usually only one employee at the register, which could leads to long lines. Also, the store is a little cluttered. read more

This is not the best dollar store. Small store. Not a lot of merchandise. Not very clean. Somewhat organized, but in a controlled chaos sort of way. I sometimes find what I need here, but this Dollar Tree just does not have the same merchandise as other Dollar Stores. read more

I hate to give this location one star as some of the employees are very lovely people. However, the overall experience in this store unfortunately towers over the few great employees. The wait time in line, the lack of acknowledgement by some of the employees as well as the attitude given by the store "Manager" is absolutely unacceptable. read more

If I can give this Dollar Tree a negative I would. I'm not a big fan on Dollar tree stores but sometimes when you've got to grab a balloon or birthday card you can't beat paying only $1 for a baloon or 50 cents for a card. BUT as soon as I walk into this dollar tree's store..I kick myself and tell myself "WHY!" The store is dark, unfriendly, messy and just dirty. It gets worse as I see ONE cash register opened and a line that is so long it flows into an aisle. That's ridiculous and in my opinon just rude and inconsiderate! I used to work as a customer service and whenever I'd see the line getting slightly long I'd jump on a cash register as well as call for another employee to open. Anyway my review came from frustration of several attempts to get a balloon at this location. Several times I'd drive right after work to this dollar tree and ask if someone could help me with the balloons. Today an employee was organizing a shelf and without looking up said "We don't have helium". That doesn't make sense. It's not even 3PM! I then drove home and called the store at 4pm to see if they got any. No answer. Not even a ring just a ting sound. I then called again at 8:15pm and someone picked up and again saying no Helium and they've been out since "last night". BS. I seriously know that this location has the worse customer service. Actually there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Employees look like they hate their job and can't stand being there. They also are lazy to fill a balloon. I Constantly have to drive to the Tinley Park's location on Harlem which is a longer drive for me. There, employees are MUCH friendly and willing to help! Take my advice! Either stop at Tinley's location or just pay $2 more and go to Jewel. Don't waste your time at this store. read more

I like this dollar tree. They have a good variety of items and its usually not too crowded or too long of a wait. The people are friendly most times...there are a few I avoid getting in their lines. Anyway, they are well stocked with dollar tree items. read more

Visiting a friend in Orland Park. We went to this particular Dollar Tree. She explained ahead of time it's smaller than the other one and very dirty. She was right, as well other other reviews on Yelp! The carpeted floors looked as if they had not been vacuumed in weeks. Some of the merchandise was dirty as well. Some white powder on products as if another product had exploded and no one cleaned it. I didn't encounter any employees at this store. This particular location is actually twice the size of the DT where I reside in another state. Overall the products were arranged as they should have been and I found a few things that were not in my DT. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the carpets as I meant to. Messy store. Nasty staff attitude, no doubt encouraged by the awful manager. Store manager closes the store a whole 15 minutes earlier, probably to get out when the store is supposed to close FOR CUSTOMERS at the time provided. Change the hours on your site and door. It's deceptive. We got here 10 minutes before the store was about to close to grab a few missed items, and we were turned away, even though there were no customers in the store... they were already cleaning, BEFORE THE ACTUAL CLOSING TIME. I haven't encountered a single "lovely" person in this location, everyone has a stick up their pants. Change manager and train your employees to attain basic people skills. When I asked where something was, instead of verbally letting me know where the items were on more than one occasion, I was given directions by an angry face that didn't look at me once, and a finger pointing to a general direction. I asked once more, and by this time she was angry enough to look at me, and not so politely tell me that, "I JUST POINTED"! I didn't know whether to laugh or be upset. I walked out and headed to another Dollar Tree at the Harlem location. I was immediately greeted by the nicest Male cashier. He helped you people to keep one customer. Not many will choose to go to a different location, they will just avoid your stores, period. Please consider replacing EVERYONE in this location. If you need help training people on basic people skills, I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE! Any stars above 2 are probably from people who go in every once in a while, or employees themselves. I'm a regular customer at this store. It's the only one around OP so I have no choice but to shop there when I need something quick. I started to ignore the constant mess and the dirtiness of the store in general just because I usually see that the employees there are nice...UP.TO.TODAY. I know Christmas season is busy, every single store is, so why only 2 cashiers open?? I was standing in line for about 8 minutes (I'm patient, its fine) but when I finally had 1 person in front of me the cashier said she needed to close cause another cashier was about to open...everyone behind me ran to form and plus a couple more people. So this cashier told me to move over that cashier cause she was closing, I told her "I'm sorry but I was standing here already before you were told to close" and she said "Oh well I'm sorry mam I'll close after you THEN!" like all rude and loud! Her and the other customer starting talking and made ME feel like I was the rude one, I didn't say anything cause I temp not to argue when I know I'm right. So this is something that the store can fix so easily and simple!! "Next costumer IN line please step to cashier #...., please" it's how every other single store manages these situations!!! Say please and be polite!! Why did I had to move out and make the whole line of 6+ people again? and then tried to make me feel like I was the bad person? While shopping I was being followed by a young male associate throughout the store. I felt that was kind of weird. Later he got rather close and slightly bumped me. I then noticed he stole my cell phone out of my purse. I approached him minutes later while the store manager was standing there. He took it out if his pocket and gave it back to me. This Dollar Tree is (one of) the worst I have been to. Always dirty, (the bathroom is unspeakable), employees are unfriendly, the lines are always long. If I could give them negative stars I would. Unfortunately Ive shopped there alot and each time it was the same terrible experience. Now I try to avoid it at all costs but it's close to home so sometimes I have no choice but to stop in. Terrible place to shop. Managers are always goofing off in back and oblivious to the long lines forming. When they finally do bring up other cashiers to help, they let the customers fight over who is first. After informing the manager about their unfair process, she simply laughed immaturely and offered an 800 number to complain. This place should be entirely restaffed from the manager down. read more
