Haven't been here in awhile since they installed the self checkout lanes. Today 6 self checkout lanes were open along with 2 employee checkout lanes. The self checkout sure slows up the process because people are trying to sort through their merchandise, find the sales tag and then scan the tag. Today the line was 50 people deep!! Are you kidding me?! It took more then 20 minutes to get to a register. Also, they have really raised their prices recently. It's not worth the time, effort or aggravation to shop here. I will not be back here again.

I've been coming here since it opened a couple of years ago.... For a thrift store, Savers is bright, shiny, and extremely clean. There are no typical bad smells or possible "critters" crawling around. BUT, the store is practically always near empty. This store is LARGE, but there is usually no more than 5 to 10 customers shopping in this store at one time. ... So what's the problem here? There is no daily Color Tag Specials!!! And, the PRICES ARE HIGH !!!! Today, there was a Black North Face Bubble Coat (with a small rip in the sleeve) for $150!!! And, I have seen a set of simple gold Dining Chargers for 4 for $9.99.... Way too expensive for this Thrift Store Queen! Needless to say, I love Thrifting, so I still stop by this Savers once a month. Again, you never know what you may find. Plus, there are coupons for $3 off of a $10 purchase when you donate. Additionally, there is a "Hero" donation card, which you earn stamps to fill 6 spots that start at 5% off and lead to 30% off. The card expires at the end of the year. Savers is a good place to shop for Halloween though. They have a huge selection of new and used items.

Pricing is extremely high. It's worse than eBay prices. 12-15 per bag of LEGO or little toys is crazy.

Prices are too high for used items. I've noticed looong lines on Mondays, I guess this place is only worth it one day a week.

Large and plentiful selection of items, worth a visit. They like other thrifts are getting a little greedy with their book prices.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses…read more I have been doing business with them for 2 years now. They could'nt be nicer. Great Items Great prices. The girls that work in there are so friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to go there I always come home with great stuff. I have also had client's that consigned with them & they sold their furniture pieces. Great place.

Meeting and evaluation of my fathers house and property were pretty straight forward. They said…read moreall the right things and checked all the boxes my siblings and I were looking for. Myself and my son did a LOT of organizing, cleaning, moving furniture. Communication once we hired the company was so so at best. A lot of things were "let me check and get back to you", which ended up with me having to reach out again to follow up. I walked thru my dads house and garage the day before the sale and saw how they priced everything. My dad lives very rural, in the middle of the country so we did not expect a huge turnout but there were people in line waiting with a constant flow of people both days. Day 1 is suppose to be full price as listed yet several of my friends went to the sale and were ready to pay the full price listed and only ended up paying 1/3. Seems like they were wheeling and dealing on day 1. Which we did NOT agree to. WHAT?? On day 1 you asked $20 for something listed as $60? My dads riding lawn mower was priced at $1400. It didnt sell the first day so I knew it would go for $700 on the 2nd day. When we got our itemized list of what sold we saw that the lawn mower sold for only $300!! a 12 piece oak amish dining room set sold for $100, that was a 1/8 of what it was listed at. We paid $1500 for their "fee" and a 65/35 split. Then told that we didnt have to pay thr $1500, that the fee was asked for if the home was determined that it would bring in a profit. When we received the check and itemized list the $1500 was taken out of the profits and the remainder was done at the split. We ended up after all the work and back and forth with $400. a full 3 bedroom home! The itemized list left out A LOT of pieces that were no longer in my fathers home but were not on the list as sold. I asked if anything was going to be taken for consignment at their store and was told no, so not sure where these items went. My father lived very simply so we were not expecting a huge result but really felt we were taken advantage of and it was a HUGE waste of time. I put in a lot of man hours and had I know I would have either A. let them do all the work or B. Did the work and held the sale myself! NOTE-I have been told by multiple people who frequent their sales and many others, as well as people who have hired them in the past, that they will have their regulars (*who resell) come and give them the deals on items. I cannot confirm this but hearing it from many different people gives me pause.

As you know may or may not know, Clothes Mentor comes from the same parent company concept of Once…read moreUpon a Child, Plato's Closet, and New Uses. Customers can bring in new or gently used, brand name items (within for 2 to 3 years old) for a Clothes Mentor "Buyer" to evaluate whether they will accept the item and for the Clothes Mentor "Buyer" to provide a value they will offer you. The offer is "supposedly 30%" of what Clothes Mentor will turn around and sell the merchandise for. You have the option to accept or decline the full offer, or you may remove some items from your "buy" if you wish. In the end, the transaction is totally up to you. As an avid consigner and donator, as well as adventuresome thrift shopper, estate sale shopper, and garage sell frequenter for the past 25 years, I fully appreciate what is offered at Clothes Mentor. In most instances, Clothes Mentor has made life easier for the owner of the items so you do not have to stand outside in the hot summer heat to have a garage sale and possibly sell your items for pennies on the dollar. Clothes Mentor has also eliminated the expenses associated with trying to sell your quality items on Ebay. And, Clothes Mentor has eliminated the concern of having to deal with strangers when selling items on Craigslist. On the other hand, Clothes Mentor has made things easier for the purchaser as well. Clothes Mentor has eliminated the average thrift, estate sale, and garage sale experience of feeling like you have spent all day sifting through "junk" in order to find one or two gems. The major "Con" to the whole experience is as seller, you feel like Clothes Mentor is not truly giving you very much money for your very pricey, name-brand item(s). As the shopper, the major "Con" is you may feel like items are a little overpriced for "Resale." Overall, I have loved stopping in Clothes Mentor whenever I drive past. It is a nice Women's Resale experience, in a clean and organized store. Items are separated by category and size. They even have a behind the counter display of designer catches, such as Ugg, Juicy Couture, Coach, Kate Spade, etc. You actually never know what you may find, and as with all other Resale or Thrift Stores, you really have to look over your items well to ensure there are no defects you will be unhappy with. There are women's jeans, tanks, short sleeve, and long sleeve shirts, as well as dress slacks, casual slacks, skirts, and jeans. Additionally, you can find accessories such as scarves, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings. Finally, there are designer and handbags and shoes. There is even a small maternity section. There are typically reduced items, which have been marked with a colored sticker. You have to read the store signs or ask the sales associate for the color discounts at that time. And, every so often, there are special sale nights, as well as e-mail or text message promotions. So, it is a great idea to sign up for the notifications. Finally, there is a return policy for regular price clothing items (10 days), however you cannot return discounted items, any shoes or accessories. Sales associates are typically very friendly and helpful. Many of the associates have learned names of the regular customers and they seem to present a "family atmosphere." There is great parking available, especially now that Plato's Closet moved to another location. Word of caution: There is no public restroom!
