The Dollar Tree is one of my wife's favorite stores to visit, and it has grown on me, too, over time. The store almost always has everything we need in stock. It has a huge selection of common and uncommon items alike. The staff are usually very helpful and while the lines at the cash register are sometimes longer than ideal, the lines go rather quickly. This location is the store we have gone to the most often whether we needed a quick item or wanted to go on a shopping spree. Speaking of a shopping spree, every year or so, my office sends me to get baskets of helpful items for someone who just moved to Arizona for a new job. I found that if I was filling 20 baskets (which I did last year) with 20 items each (including the basket), that was just over $500. Compared to any other store, I really came out ahead. The best part was going up and down aisles selecting items that looked good and were useful. The worse part was finding 20 of any such item. At the end, the baskets were appreciated, and my staff didn't even inquire about where the items in them came from. Dollar Tree saved the day with many items for a reasonable price! The receipt itself was quite entertaining as my business office tried to photocopy a receipt with 400 items on it. My favorite one-off items here and there that I would go to Dollar Tree for are blown-up balloons (birthday, anniversary, congratulations, get well), kitchen products including aluminum foil, plastic tablecloths, and name tags. Every time I visit, I find a new item I never would have thought of looking for. There is also a seasonal item section which always has something fun for friends, family, work, or myself (or my wife, of course). It's easy to spend too much or to find a gift for practically anyone. The strangest thing (that makes sense now as I think about it) is that the Dollar Tree carts are unable to leave the store. They have poles in them that keeps them from being able to go out the front door. That means that the carts can be used in the store but you are on your own to get items from the store to your car nearby. In the case of my "shopping spree," I had two full carts of items that I had to transport to my car. The solution I came up with was to borrow two Target carts from the parking lot and bring those into the Dollar Tree. No one thought twice about that as I guess that is rather common to do. Fun fun! This location has great staff and the customers are rather courteous. It is ironically just across the street from a new, even larger Dollar Tree. While I went to visit the new one on a "date night" with my wife, we still have very fond memories and experiences from this particular location. Only time will tell if we continue to shop here vs. the new one, but for now, we are loyal to this store. Oh, and technically, the store should now be called $1.25 Tree... read more

I then tried calling the store. Number on their page was bogus. I tried calling three other dollar tree stores but none of the numbers worked. Disclaimer: this review is about a few months ago, but I had to come back and leave a review just now because of the experience I had at other Dollar Trees recently. I was shopping for my son's birthday party and I wandered into this area of town - assuming it would be a nicer store due to being in Paradise Valley. I live in North Phoenix right off the i17 - if you know, you know, the area is a bit rough. Anyways, to my surprise this place was a mess. The gift and crafts section looked like a hurricane hit. You couldn't sort through the merchandise. It was very disappointing that no one was doing anything about it. The staff wasn't friendly. Overall a negative experience. I hope the shortcomings have been addressed by now. I was annoyed that I ended up having to spend extra time going to another store. I went to two Dollar Trees more recently, closer to home, which were super clean, organized, and stocked, the cashiers were engaging and one of them actually really funny. I learned the lesson that nicer areas don't always provide a better experience. read more

The cashier and the manager are rude, poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend this dollar tree to nobody. I talked with a district manager, and supposedly, they are to get back to me. No response yet. I hope theirs a resolution soon. Maybe that's why their ( stores) all closing down. read more

I wish they have more variety for home goods, kitchen/garden stuff. But instead they have a immense variety of no popular brands of sweets. I have sweet tooth , but honesty I didn't felt adventurous. Ok, so my friends and family make fun of me because I literally have a Dollar Tree addiction! Since I plan so many events and parties (both for work and personal), this is my FAVORITE place to get party supplies (tablecloths, plates, napkins, utensils, balloons, vases, candles, cups, plastic wine glasses, plastic champagne glasses, platters, serving utensils, centerpieces; Seriously, you name it, Dollar Tree has it!). It is a heck of a lot cheaper than Party City and you'll find everything that you need! When i'm buying flowers for friends, or anyone really, I ALWAYS come here to get a $1 vase to put them in! It is much nicer than just giving a bouquet and for the price, it is so worth it. For holidays, this place has EVERYTHING! Seriously, 4th of July, Christmas (great ornaments!!), Easter, St. Patty's, etc. They have great stocking stuffers, Easter basket toys, candy, etc. Lastly, this is the only place that I come for cards and gift wrap (bags, bows, tape, tissue paper, etc.). In terms of the store I never noticed it being too messy or disorganized. I feel their team is pretty great at managing messes.. additionally, things are pretty easy to find within their store. However, this is my fifth time coming into this location, and I have only had a one good experience with their employees. I'm not sure if it's a company thing or a management thing or their employees are just not the friendliest, but I have not experienced a good employee so far which stinks. Anytime I ask where something is located or any type of questions it seems they always roll their eyes and give some kind of attitude. I find this a little ridiculous considering that most of the workers are a little bit on the older side so I'm not exactly sure why this says have not had a good experience so far. Clean, well organized, helpful staff. I like to come here for party supplies. Anytime my office is having a potluck, I can get some tablecloths here. I also like to look at the candy. My mom and I got some potholders here too. Last time we were here we picked up some greeting cards. Great prices and they have a decent selection! Good place to check out in my opinion. read more

I felt like this Dollar Tree was disorganized and a mess. In addition, when checking out, their was only one line, which is not the problem. The problem was the cashier. There was a customer in front of us paying (using their credit card), and the cashier then was taking our items and said it's going to be $XX. This one is all new and shiny and stuff! I know it's a dollar tree so it won't last long... but this location is great for party supplies. We are doing a Hawaiian luau theme and they had tons of stuff from leis, decorations, flip flops, plates and glasses.. just about anything you would need. Also seemed fairly well stocked on Graduation Party supplies if you are in the market.. This location also had a pretty big selection of Wedding, Bachelorette Party, Birthday, Baby Shower decorations/supplies and as usual they have TONS of gift bags, wrapping essentials and enough balloons to create your own version of UP. Well since this Dollar Tree is within walking distance of my apt. I am definitely a fan. I always go here when I need my movie candy fix....whenever I am heading to the drive-in. Money doesn't grow on trees, but Dollar tree grows on saving. Although one may be embarrassed to go into a discount store, you'll miss out on some very cool items or only a dollar. Things that you would normally buy at Walmart or Target, you can get it here for a fraction of the price. In this economy, quality dollar items are hard to find, but at least here you'll find something that may surprise you and stretch out your budget. Staff are friendly and place is clean. The manager, intentionally using a lower case "m" which encapsulates her demeanor, rude, difficult, nasty disposition that wasn't looking to assist me as I was in need of a return. She witnessed me buying the items, within minutes, I needed to return them. Never once offered any alternative to my situation. It wasn't a large purchase, just beware of the " manager" with a need to have her roots done, the manager that other Dollar Tree Managers know that she needs to be discharged that know of her foul behavior.. This dollar store sucks. They sold my fiancé a deflated balloon and when I went in to get it re-inflated (same day as purchase) they said there was nothing they could do about it and that I'd just have to buy another one. They could have easily just traded the inflated one for the poor quality one they had out on the floor for sale in the first place. The manager asked me when exactly my fiancé came in to purchase the balloon...does it matter?? It's the SAME one you sell in your store AND you sold it looking like crap. I know this is a pointless review but you know what? SUPER RUDE supervisor. I vistes on November 26 2019. I had lost my wallet so I kindly asked the supervisor at the time of 2:11pm if she had seen any. I am impressed. Dollar Tree next to Target is fantastic! I went Grand Opening weekend, without knowing it was the Grand Opening. It was like walking into a newly remodeled house, it smelled new and a lot like plastic and stuff for a $1. You don't realize the type of money you could be saving until you visit Dollar Tree... I totally love this location since it's newer and just has a great selection. I love that everything is $1.00 like the name says - not $3.99 or something like some competitors.
