    Self-checkout machines

ALDI - Here. I remember being excited that this chain was coming to AZ a few years ago, as it was one of our go-to spots back in Michigan. Can't forget their innovative quarter-cart system! We visited this location on a Saturday and it's a bit tucked away in the shopping center next to Home Goods. We decided not to get a cart because we weren't planning on buying anything, but of course we ending up picking a few things due to the fair prices. I'm always carrying reusable bags so I was ready at the register. Be sure to bring your own or buy some there (I think?) another location had boxes but I didn't notice that here. They have quite a few self-checkout machines which I personally prefer. Overall, large store, wide aisles, good selection and competitive prices on some but not all items. Would return! And possibly test out their cart system for old times' sake.

BYOB and BYOQ! That's bring your own bags and bring your own quarter for a cart. The quarter is refunded once you return the cart. It was highly recommended that I take a trip to Aldi for their deals. Ok I am game. When I walked in, the first great deal was a large carton of strawberries for $1.09! Score! If you do the grocery shopping you will know your prices. Most items are good deals but not all so watch the prices. I even checked one item on my shopping app as I was unfamiliar with the price. Indeed the Aldi price was better. It is a small store with the basics. Don't expect to find specialty items here? Just good deals. If you forget your bags you may purchase them in the store. As an option wheel your cart to the car, unload and return the cart. I didn't purchase a lot and what I did buy was a good bargain. It was a well worth trip plus there is an abundance of shopping in the many plazas out that way.

But alas, this is a desert so take this review with that as context. This market is located in the parking of the park and takes approximately 10-12 spots on each side. The majority of the vendors were selling prepared food, merchandise and pet products with only 2-4 vegetable and produce stands. And those stands were limited to most of the basic veggies and fruits you would expect but at prices that were higher than some of their organic counterparts at your local supermarket. Translation - no real deals to be found and very few heirloom vegetables to try. I did buy some veggies and fruit from one of the larger stands at the end of the row, but other than that, there wasn't much to it. I do give them a bonus for being dog friendly. But if your dog isn't really chill, I would avoid this spot because the gallery is tight.

Berry berry good Acai!…read more Located in Glendale AZ where there surprisingly isn't a lot of Acai places despite how hot it is over there; is Berry Berry Best Acai Bowls. This is located in a strip shopping center with a few other businesses. The location itself is definitely more of a take and go type of setup since there's only a handful of seats (all of which aren't particular comfortable for long seating) as well as a main area where you place your Acai order at their topping bar. The were nice at pointing us to different options while we were picking out our choices and toppings, and the price wasn't too bad for what we got. They have several "meme" decor in this spot which was pretty funny how they were able to intertwine the photos with Acai imagery. We didn't have to wait long at all to get our Acai ordered since there was no line when we arrived. The Acai Bowl itself was quite tasty especially with their array of toppings and mixtures to put inside the bowl. Since you design it (with the help of the employee of course) it's whatever you make of it, but certainly some good choices to be had in it's creation. I'm always a sucker for good Acai, and this seems to be the only place near to Glendale that serves and delivers what I wanted. We will definitely be back.

Having been to the Farm-To-Fork Capitol and the markets there, my expectations were low. This market far exceeded and competed with any of the markets I've visited in the Sacramento and Napa regions! Why? Because the prices of the produce are truly amazing, the array of vendors and the friendliness of everyone was spectacular, and the entire area was clean and inviting as to the set up. I met amazing people and discussed their locally sourced products. I had no idea that Arizona grew such beautiful items. Husband and I loved our fresh delicious salad made we that evening from greens and produce from Libelula Farm and others. I hated to be GF because Noble Bread has THE MOST amazing offerings of fresh baked goods! GOOD FORM FOODS (Google them!) had THE MOST AMAZING walnut butters ever! Delish and at a great price! Husband highly recommends LOVE'S JERKEY CO which has an outstanding array of Jerkey from locally sourced beef. The various beautiful fresh flower displays for sale were delightful. And... THE FOOD VENDORS WERE PLENTIFUL and all looked amazing! I highly recommend stopping by and giving K-TOWN IN AZ and BAGEL DADDIES a try as their delicious fresh made items are hard to resist! Five stars for this amazing event!!!!

The staff were always nice, the prices were reasonable, and I always got a sample of a piece of chocolate on each visit. Today, I went to this Sees Candies location with my wife to get a pound of chocolates. There were assorted chocolates, nuts & chews, soft centers, chocolate & variety, milk chocolates, dark chocolates, caramels, bridge mix, and more. We decided on a box of assorted chocolates. While we saw many other options, this was a rather quick visit. We were offered a sample of the Dark Scotchmallow, consisting of honey marshmallow and vanilla caramel (and dark chocolate). I found it absolutely delicious! My wife doesn't eat marshmallow so she settled on another chocolate sample. The two staff members working were so nice and very helpful. This location's hours were from 10 AM to 6 PM from Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM on Sunday, and 10 AM to 5 PM on Monday. They have a candy counter. It is one of many See's locations in the area along with the occasional seasonal pop up location. You can create your own custom mixed box of chocolates and candies or pre-packaged boxes of chocolates, truffles, nuts and chews, lollipops, and sugar free candy.
