Confession: I love the dollar store. I love exploring the aisles and finding creative and inexpensive ways to organize my home and daily life. I love their crafting supplies, and seasonal products, plus the beauty dupes are incredible! So much great stuff, all for $1.25!! This location is my preferred Dollar Tree mostly because of convenience and because they often still have the items I'm looking for when I visit. It's also one of the smallest stores which makes it tight and a little hard to navigate. The employees here are so nice and genuinely want to help you find what you're looking for. Definitely be prepared to navigate around stacks of boxes and tight aisles, and keep perspective on where you're shopping. This isn't a place you go for a 5-star shopping experience but it is where you'll save a ton of money! read more

I've never had an issue with this dollar tree until today. The older white lady working the cash register was really rude.(she had crazy black eyeshadow) First when I walked in she looked at me up and down with disgust & anger (I'm Mexican) not 5 sec later, a white girl walked in and she greeted her with a smile and said, Hello!! , again a white older man walked and same! Then, When it was my turn to pay, she again gave me a the looks, then she proceeded to throw my ceramic miniature fairy house into the bag. I got home and noticed they are all chipped!!!!! horrible service!! Moral of the story, Dollar tree, don't hire racist people!!! read more

It wasn't until I saw they will be closing some stores that I realized how much I like seeing what's new, saving some money, and mostly decorating the office on the cheap. I will be reviewing the 3 stores that are in my circle of shopping. The California Ave. store has a new manager and it shows. This store is cleaner and better stocked than most. The parking lot open, carts for instore only and baskets are available. I placed an online order and picked it up at this location for the free shipping. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to exchange some of the items that were not described well on the website. Congrats to the newer manager, we really hope your store stays open for all your staff and regulars. read more

I come to this store for certain items but I always end up buying other things too. Now that I'm selling items on Poshmark I need a ton of tissue paper this is the spot to get it. $1.25 per pack you cannot beat that price. I bought 30 of them. I also buy the prepackaged thank you cards too. They have a lot of candy and canned goods too. The frozen ravioli is absolutely incredible! The only reason I got it is my friend who is the dollar store queen told me how amazing it was and now I buy 10 bags at a tjme. Oh I forgot to mention that when you see something you like, want or need, snap it up immediately! Things can be gone the next day. For example I make mini pizzas with English muffins and I use a small can of sliced black olives. I was so surprised that they had a bunch with the flip top so I bought them all! Like 15 cans. This one is the closet to my house but it's fun to go into other locations to see what they have. This store is the best for party supplies, wrapping supplies, school supplies and cleaning supplies too. When I got home I looked over the receipt and was shocked to see that the packages of thank you cards (8 per pack) were only 1 dollar instead of the 1.25 that they are now charging... I bought all 5 packs because I like to send a thank you note inside the Poshmark purchase. Some of my items are very expensive and I include a nice small hand cream to the big spenders that I've bought here too. Love this store so much!! read more

This store is one of the only dollar trees in the area that will continually close hours before they are supposed to for seemingly no reason. I have even asked employees at the dollar tree across the 7th street Walmart and they said people always come in claiming the same thing about them always closing. Not a bad place, decent location and usually has a lot in stock except their hygiene area. I will assume it's due to all the TikTok creators making some of dollar trees items viral though, not because they are bad at stocking /ordering. Be careful here, they have the meanest old lady working. I can't recall her name ( I think its Jen ) but she has white/grey longer hair and for the majority of the time, is wearing glasses. I've seen her slam people's stuff around while she is ringing them up because they ask her questions and she purposely moves slower checking out the line if it starts getting longer. She is very rude and it's not just here and there, it's every time I come into the store and it's to anyone she has to interact with. I've made small talk with her to see if she would lighten up but it actually made her decide to argue with me more. She has been there for quite sometime now and she is 100% old enough and cognitive enough to know that is not an appropriate way to treat anyone, work or not. It's like she is constantly disgusted. Recently she got snippy with my boyfriend (who hardly ever goes in there and won't unless I want to go) so he returned the toxic energy and she didn't like that very much. At all. That's the biggest reason for the low rating. I know I am not the only one to notice or complain about it either. I'm sure she has been spoken to about it too and if she hasn't, the manager needs to take action. read more

Cleaner than the CVS next door Plenty of easy parking, with easy in and out. A discount store I use on occasion for simple disposable items. The store is always well stocked and clean when I go in. Personally I never buy their food products or toothpaste. But in the past it has been great for party ware, especially glass ware you want to look nice but not spend a ton on and if it gets broken- oh well, it was just a dollar. read more

I lost my makeup bag 2 weeks ago. As you know ladies how expensive makeup can be and to loose a makeup bag ( with my just bought new makeup) feels horrible. EDUCATORS, STAY AWAY!!!!! Holy SMOKES this place is crap!!! Educators are some of the biggest customers at Dollar Tree stores and the manager of this location is ignorant and rude. He had us fill out the tax exemption form on a LARGE purchase, then charged us taxes ANYWAYS and stated he wouldn't reverse the transaction and that we needed to pay our taxes anyways....???? read more

This place has gone downhill. Less inventory and absolutely filthy! Beware if you are shopping during this health crisis...The precautions they are taking during the pandemic are poor! The employees were not wearing masks or gloves. The plexiglass covered 1/2 of what it should. They placed baggies over the debit card machine...why?! Do they change this after each customer?! Shame on dollar tree for not making masks mandatory for employees to protect customers especially in that neighborhood where many patrons are older. read more

I think this is the cleanest dollar tree store I have ever visited. And here I am again sitting in the parking lot looking in through the glass doors and the lady is sweeping sweeping sweeping sweeping in front of the door on the inside.
