They have every style and shape imaginable. Lots of pillows and comforter sets. The long line for check out moves real quickly. They wrap everything that potentially could break when bagging. Shoutout to Paul! He brought this amazing nightstand out on the floor and was unwrapping it. I asked him if it was the only one and initially he said yes... I was in store to find silverware and I always check out what they have in stock. After about 20 minutes of looking my husband and I were heading to the register and Paul found me to tell me that he actually had two. He went to the back and brought the other nightstand out for me to take a look at both of them at the same time and we ended up purchasing both. What an amazing find. We could not have done it without the help from Paul and we are so grateful to have these awesome nightstands in our new house. This store has to be one of my all time great discount stores and we're lucky in Reno that we have 3 of them. Twice per year I go to "stock up" on one of my favorite skin care brands, Elizabeth Arden. I literally buy all that they have. I save 50% on each product compared to what the department store charges. It's nice that they never are expired or damaged, if they are I obviously don't buy those. They have a magnetic strip inside each package to keep people from stealing. Back in the day when I worked retail we called it "shrinkage" lol. This place also has wonder luggage too. I've purchased several pieces over the years and they have all the name brands. I know we all shop online now but there is really something to just going to the brick and mortar stores. You can try on the clothing for the fit instead of guessing your size. I owned the stock a few years ago and I didn't realize that TJ's, Ross and Marshals are all the same company now. The stock isn't a big mover so I got rid of it. I mean this is what I used to do for a living... The home goods department is also very nice, I purchased a pink stool for my bathroom vanity area. I went out looking for a pink velvet stool and of course TJ's had it ! It was a bit low for the countertop but not a problem. That's what I just love about this chain of stores. I recently went over to the on off of Pyramid since they didn't have my facial products at the one near me and I hit the motherlode! Pics below. Clothes section is not my favorite here. The selection is small for men's and women's. If it is the right location, the clothes is usually good to look at because there are cute clothes. . Shoes for men and women was small too. It seems like they were moving alot of stuff around or re organized. Lots of empty space without shelves or empty ones. . Jewelry case is always the same layout at any tjmax. I always like to spot unique and different jewelry and watch for men too. They do have designer watches too. I picked up a Movado bold gold stainless steel watch for 199. I have a thing for Movado and it was on clearance so let's treat myself, life is too short for boring wrist watch. . Value on items sold here is great. Its a bargain compare to big name stores. Just a hit or miss. So you gotta shop to find the good deals. Came here on Black Friday and it was smooth sailing! They had all of the shelves stocked and organized. Plenty of carts to go around as well. The line looked long but it was moving along quickly. I was told it was a 24hr hold and when I showed up to pick up my items before the 24 hrs were up, the majority of my held items were put back. I must admit that TJ Maxx is one of my less favorite shopping experience. However, my significant other is addicted to this type of stores and I generally try to entertain myself by browsing the food section and the cosmetic section. This store in Sparks is much smaller than the store in Reno, and therefore it offers much less variety, and I feel it is always a hit or miss. You cannot just go to the store with the purpose of buying a specific item, it is more like, let's see what I really don't need and they might be selling. You always end up with some merchandises that you didn't know that you needed them, and then you come home and try to figure out where to place them. At least they are accommodating when you go there the next week to return all the items that you didn't need! read more

I was not very happy with the fact that this business allows dogs in their store even if they are non-service animals. I understand the service animal situation, but I am highly allergic to certain breeds and can't be in the store very long. I get the fact that some people don't take allergies seriously, but I get allergy shots and also have an epi. pen. I was standing in line waiting to pay for my product and this person's dog came near me, even after I backed away....and started jumping on me. I didn't appreciate the fact that dogs can bite and I'm allergic. I feel that it is unsafe to have dogs in the store because certain dogs may attack, people can trip on them, and a lot of people are allergic, besides the fact that dogs shed. They need to limit the dogs running around in there and make it a more clean and organized environment. I did appreciate the kind employees when I took the matter to them and they had me go to the jewelry section, where there weren't any dogs nearby. read more

TJ Maxx is a favorite store of mine. The deals, the variety of goods available, and the friendly staff make me always happy to visit this store, even if I seem not to be able to walk out without spending at least a little bit of money every time I visit. I used to avoid TJ Maxx, thinking that the store is a discount women's goods type of store - akin to Burlington Coat Factory or Marshalls. Although the store is similar to the former two other stores I've listed, it is not a women's good store at all, but one that caters to many different purposes. I love visiting to look at all the home goods they have available. From home decor to kitchen utensils, and from various coffee and teas from all around the world to pet goods, TJ Maxx has something to offer for everyone. That's not to mention the bigger items, such as chairs and tables and rugs and pillows, as well as more industrial goods, such as air purifiers and guitars and exercise equipment. I like to think of TJ Maxx these days as a modern treasure store. It's much different from a regular store, which you visit and have 4-5 different options to choose from. TJ Maxx's purchasing team acquires goods from all around the world and from various suppliers, both big and small, meaning that its shoppers have a much greater and more unique variety to choose from. Let's also not forget the clothing sections, which TJ Maxx is probably best known for. It's almost like a thrift store with a wide variety of discounted clothing and a wide open floor plan, except all the items are new and they are fun to look through. Overall, TJ Maxx is a great discount store to visit, and I love it because of the deals, the variety of goods available, and the friendly staff that always make me feel welcome. Oh, and natural sponges - that's what I bought this time, since I always feel compelled to buy something. Natural sponges made of 100% plant-based ingredients, which I've never seen before. BEWARE I am a bargain hunt! I left deals where I can find them. On Friday 9-29 2017 I spent $200 at this location. I went back on Saturday for a few more items that I really wanted that I saw in the store. As I was getting ready to leave I found my last item on the clearance rack for $5.00. It was a great deal it was marked down from $20. I am still in shock of how truly rude and disrespectful the employees are and shockingly so to the Manager on Duty at the time. As I think about my experience yesterday I vacillate between remaining truly oblivious or fully cognizant of how poorly your staff cares about the customer experience. As the employee was scanning my items she kept stating on how gorgeous each piece was. When she scanned my last item, it came up as full price. The employee ignored the clearance tag. I graciously responded to the employee that it was on clearance for $5. Then she started pulling the other items out of the bag saying that the prices were not correct. I was completely shocked and began to get frustrated. The employee begin to start pulling all of the sticker tags off of each of my items. I asked for the manager. When the manager approached she was very negative and rude towards me. I mention to her that I found my item on clearance for $5 and now I feel like I'm being penalized for shopping here. They tried to tell me that I was changing tags on all of my items. I told them to look at the surveillance cameras. I am completely baffled on how they treated me. Who's to say that they won't give you the same service they gave me. They may just accuse you of switching their tags. Needless to say, I will never be returning to the store again for how they treated me. No one should have to go through what I went through. Talk about great customer service these days. read more

I totally dig on this TJ Maxx. I go every few weeks or so to check out the brand name handbags, sunglasses and shoes. They have great clothes and some really awesome home décor pieces. My only gripe which is why it's getting 4 stars because of 5 is because the good hand bags (Dooney, MK, Kate Spade etc.,) don't always come with a dust bag so I have to get one on Ebay which drives me nuts. 1st world problems. Parking is never an issue and the employees are always very nice and make conversation with you. The store and the dressing rooms are always clean and the lines are never long because TJ Maxx knows how to staff more than one cashier at a time. A++ to TJ Maxx! read more

Bad experience! Was treated like a shop lifter just because I came in my work clothes on lunch hour. I'm going to a wedding this weekend and am crunched for time. I came inside and as soon as I walked in one of the associates said to another associate to watch that man. I kinda blew it off. Thinking to myself I will hold the clothes high so there's no wondering if I'm being sneaky. They had three associates in the same area as me when before I walked in there was no one there. I walked over to the fitting rooms. Oh and when I asked an associate where the fitting room was the response I got was " see the big red sign that says dressing rooms" with a really nasty look on her face. I walked up to the nice lady at the fitting rooms and said I have a shirt and a pair of shorts I would like to try on. I showed them both to her. I separated the two, putting one in each hand. She gave me the little plastic card that said two. I went in and tried the two items on. When I came out two more associates were there. Both look like supervisors or a manger. They asked to see my two items. They took the two items and fully opened them up, checked the pockets and made sure that the tags were correct. I was baffled! I went ahead and purchased the two items because like I said earlier I'm crunched for time. But will never shop there again! read more

I went shopping tonight for Christmas gifts and had a huge cart of items. I had a great experience with the cashier named Asia. She was patient while I pick through and didn't want to couple items and carefully wrapped and bagged all my stuff. She was one of the most pleasant cashiers I've dealt with in a while so I want to give a shout out to her. She was extremely personable and knew how to treat and talk to customers. I tried to return a couple of items and the person at the register was very rude. When I approached I ask if I SHOULD return the jewelry to the jewelry counter and she said "no". She then inspected the jewelry, which was fine, but ask several times what was wrong. I had already explained "why"! Wasn't aware I had to explain "I don't want an item I paid for and had a receipt". She called the jewelry counter several times and walked away from me a couple of times; why? I have no idea. I had a receipt that she forgot about and then said she "couldn't take the item without a receipt"!!! DUH! She realized she left the receipt on the counter. Then she ask "did you buy another jewelry item on this receipt"? Obviously, it was listed on there! I also had an item that I paid $10 for but no receipt (because I didn't think a $10 item would be an issue; I came through the front door with it in a bag). She offered me $4 which I told her "no thanks". Never had anyone barter with me on returns. I have been a T J Maxx shopper for as long as the stores have been open. I spend thousands of dollars annually and have never had an experience like this. It was very uncomfortable, insulting and truly made me think about never buying items in that particular store. Went to return something with out my recipes and I was treated like shit , the lady at the cash register thought I had stole the item,yet when I tried to tell her I had not bought it at this location I had bought it at the Reno location she told me to be quite,she called a manager and yet I still tried to keep my cool and be respectful the manager asked her if she knows what location i had got it from yet If she hadn't shut me up she would of known , she asked me if I got it in Reno (still been rude about it ), I told her yes and she told her manager and she told her to try Again and little do u know it shows up , smh , So unprofessional I don't recommend anybody to go to this location.
