I was at the Walmart Drive-up attempting to pick up 4 online orders I had placed. After waiting nearly 40 minutes for my orders, and noticing they were servicing customers who had arrived after me, I asked one of the associates how long it would be for me to receive my order? The black guy with dreads responded very rudely, "I don't know. As you can see, we are busy, so it will be a while, okay?" I responded, "but I have been waiting 40 minutes and people who came 15-20 minutes after I arrived have already received their orders and have left". His next response was to shrug his shoulders, as if he did not care, and walk away. He never even attempted to verify if what I was saying was true or offer any assistance at all. For the employee to act in such a manner was definitely inappropriate. Neither my demeanor nor my question warranted such a response. My next response was to call Walmart Customer Care to report the behavior and let Walmart know I was no longer interested in purchasing the items. Customer service is paramount, but honestly it all begins with respecting yourself. If you lack respect for yourself, how can you respect anyone else. Walmart needs to choose better employees too! There are other stores available to shop, whose employees know what Customer service is and will exhibit that behavior at all times!!!
