We purchased (4) of the children's white t-shirts that turn to color in the sun. Z, (not sure on this spelling) was the gentleman who helped us out. We were pressed for time & in a big hurry. I purchased (3) mens t-shirts.There was one I got for my husband that referred to drinking & even though he only drinks non-alcoholic beer the shirt was very fitting. I purchased another one for my grandson, can't recall what was on it. I don't have the shirts in front of me. Z had shown me one of a drinking skeleton that I didn't care. He showed me another drinking one that I really liked. I was purchasing that one for someone in my family as a Christmas gift. I double checked my receipt before I left the area & I was charged for an extra shirt I didn't want. Z was gracious enough to oblige me & accepted the return. As we were driving a distance away I decided to look at all my items. I was so disappointed to see in my bag was a tee that Z showed me & I didn't like at all. It had on the back this big hugh medallion of Madeira Beach. I didn't care for the color of the shirt, what it said & the design. I've been calling the store but nobody picks up. I need something to be done so that I may get the correct shirt I wanted. I don't know if there's a way that I may contact you to see how this mishap maybe corrected. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was showed right where their women's Obey was without feeling like it was a chore for them to show me. The employees were nice and informed me of the 50% off section upstairs. When I went upstairs, the guy working told me about Skim boarding and gave me prices and showed me two boards that would be good for me; one higher price, one lower price. I go back often to shop and check out the half off section. I even put one of their shop stickers on my car. Definitely check Overhead out, even if you're only visiting Florida.

Very seldom do I go there and they do not have what I want, and their prices are always competitive. The second reason I love Ricks is that I can ask them the hard questions about fishing and they always have the answers. What type of rod for what kind of fishing, soft tip vs hard tip, what lb test, what is biting lately and where, what lures or bait is good for now. They are always willing to take the time to give you the answers in detail, no problem. Rick is a very skilled custom rod builder. Recently I had him look at a custom rod I had beaten up over 15 years and told him I'd like to replace it with something similar, because I liked it so much. Rather than sell me a new rod he suggested that the blank in this rod was a very good & expensive blank & he offered to rebuild the rod for me for $80.00 rather than spend $260.00 to get a comparable new rod. Wow, I wish you could see the rebuilt rod, it is absolutely beautiful, better than when it was new, absolutely fantastic.

I was making hot & sour soup and needed to buy a couple of ingredients. I had seen that some recipes call for dried daylilies. After the owner described what I would need to do, I decided that ingredient wasn't for me. She laughed and agreed. Right then I knew this was a store I would be returning to often. Besides groceries and produce, there was a nice assortment of gifts, jewelry, chopsticks, etc. The store is very clean. Free on-site parking and it is easy in and out.

And so in this current state there is no toilet paper, chicken, paper towel, water bottles (which I'm sorry I didn't know it was a hurricane we were preparing for over here), or hand sanitizer but there's plenty of everything else. They currently have a station set up when you walk in with all kinds of sanitizing wipes and sprays. This is always a quiet store. It's easy to get in and out of and never feels understaffed. I appreciate Winn Dixie for so many reasons and this includes their short sale prices. I always take advantage of short sale on produce or cheese items when cooking for a crowd. You'll know it's short sale because the item is usually reduced in price by about 25% and there is a sticker on it to let you know. That being said it's important to inspect your item because while Winn Dixie is the champion of value they are not the champion of disposing spoiled food... Another reason to love on this Winn Dixie is their growing "health" section. Its definitely one of the smaller ones at of all the WD's and it's certainly no Lucky's (RIP) or EarthFare (RIP). BUT they do have a decent selection of things such as chickpea pasta, lentil chips etc... etc... Every time I go it appears they add more to the lineup! Truth be told this is a solid grocery store. No bells or frills or glitter, just fairly priced food goods.
