Review #546 - Updated from past 6/24/2017 Review....4 Stars to 5…read more April 30, 2026 - Thursday I recently shopped here after striking out at a nearby other home store - At Home. I was happy to purchase a beautiful Yellow Forsythia Artificial Wreath for My Front Double Doors and 2 sets of colored Tulips for an artificial floral arrangement at this Ollie's Bargain Outlet. I also purchased Serta Soft Cool and Warm material Bed sheets throughout my browsing and price checking with comparison. Yes, this location maybe disorganized at times or messy areas of towels or other sale items but shoppers can be the reason because every time I shop here for a sale item or check on an ad item, the staff here are working the best they can and hard at times unpacking boxes to stocking shelves. I've been greeted with a Hello at times which is courtesy of them in between their busy work schedule. If busy at check out and a long line begins, another pleasant employee will open up another register. Seasonal merchandise is always plenty especially My last visit in February the store was ready stocked with Easter and Spring items which I posted photos of from the main center areas. I enjoy the Herr's Snacks, Moose Munch Popcorn, plus a certain Cereal Brand - SpecialK, Coffee K-Cups and Other Grab and Go items but Watch The Expiration Dates. I've never had a problem but just in case grab an item from the back or if up front check the date. The "Library" area lol is still great for Readers with Shelves of Books labeled with different signs for the different readers. Currently their Summer Ad is out with Window Air Conditioners, and Portable on Wheels too to get ready for the Heat of Michigan. Those would be good for College dorms or residents without A/C. I also noticed in their New Flyer for the month of May, they are selling a brand of different tools called Hart. How about a front or patio door Coir Mat? Its now at Ollie's in the Outdoor Patio Section. Overall I enjoy my Ollie's Bargain Outlet. They always have a large, albeit random, selection of…read moreproducts. I will however admit that the store could be much more clean and organized, as the floor and shelves are often messy, and many aisles are almost bare of products. While this is unfortunately the case, I must add that I do see employees out doing what they can to remedy the situation, and all of the employees I've interacted with have been friendly and helpful. The store is large, and I love their huge selection of books. They also have a very large parking lot, so there is no issue finding a spot. It's great for yard and home items, also rugs and carpet remnants. Ollie's could use some polishing, but it's still a great quick stop shop.

While shopping I observed why the store is so messy. As I was walking…read more around I noticed customers throwing clothes on the floor, on top racks and never putting them back where they got them and parents letting their children run wild in the store and destroying and opening the merchandise. Also seen other patrons walking around with a cart full of merchandise and discarding what they do not want any old place . I am sure the employees work very hard to clean and keep the store as tidy as possible and the store should not be judged by who works there but how rude some customers are.

I normally go the Dollar Tree in Troy (in the Walmart plaza) but I was on my way to Panera to pick up curbside, and this was the only dollar store in that area. It had kind of an old/funky smell inside. I saw they had cards through the window, so that was encouraging, but their Halloween selection is pretty limited; they maybe had like 10 different card designs to choose from, but 7-8 of those were for little kids (grandkids, children, etc). I ended up buying five for family and friends, and good thing I did because they have a $5 minimum limit for credit cards. The final reason I'm giving them 3 stars: the cashier was not wearing a mask. The man next to him beside the counter was, FWIW. He had a very thin layer of plastic sheeting between me and him, so I'm guessing that's why he thought it was fine ... however, I'm "high risk," so I definitely wiped off my credit card with a wipe when I got back to my car. I wouldn't stop by here again, I will just go to Dollar Tree next time. But they do have a lot of cards (non-Halloween ones) if you need them.

(although $1.25 + Now) I can certainly say I shop at the 5 different locations based on where I'm cruising on errands or in routes of my driving and needed things. This Location on Hayes Rd. and 24 Mile is a small location compared to the larger ones I stop and shop at but the employees here are friendly and polite at their jobs. If a gal is working and stocking she'll always greet Me with a Hello and ask if I'm finding everything I need. I should have asked her name to acknowledge. Those Hallmark cards are a plus here and wrapping paper with gift bags in the celebration section. Oh yeah they sell balloons here. This store stocks My Favorites: Lavender Pillow spray, Elf cosmetics, Party Mix Snacks, Hint Water, Protein Shakes, TFI Friday's Cheddar & Bacon Chips, Snyder Pretzels and even Olive Garden Salad Dressing to name my picks of favorite items. Holiday decorations for My Home or outside can be a start to look through the store based on inventory. Some Dollar Stores carry different styles or items if you are looking to buy bulk. Then the cute holiday fun toys, snacks and treats are worth the money for $1.25 or slightly more for My Great Nephew and Niece. In addition to any type of book you could imagine they have vintage posters for sale. The owner was very kind and knowledgeable. It's right off of Van Dyke and there is plenty of parking out front.

Unlike some bargain stores, I did not have to push dropped or sloppy set up of items aside so I can maneuver mom in her wheelchair; the floor was free of trash or misplaced items...yay! They have excellent bargains for office products, decorations, food, laundry, etc. I like that they had Poastems as an alternative to Toastems as Poestems have way more filling inside. Unfortunately they did not have any unfrosted Poastems so I did not buy any...that hard, overly sweet, sugar frosting is disgusting to me. We will return.

Dollar Tree on Garfield Road at 17 Mile, Clinton Township. MI the old Walmart store…read more Be careful what you buy, Went to the Dollar Tree and bought headphones on Saturday January 17, 2026. Took them home and charged and installed them exactly according to the instructions. They worked for 10 minutes and completely stopped working. They did this several times. Took them back to Dollar Tree the very next day with the box, receipt and all enclosed paperwork. The manager would not refund my money or exchange them for other items of equal value. Then she got rude and nasty and refused to give me the name and phone number to the real store manager so I could call him the next day.
