Review #546 - Updated from past 6/24/2017 Review....4 Stars to 5 April 30, 2026 - Thursday I recently shopped here after striking out at a nearby other home store - At Home. I was happy to purchase a beautiful Yellow Forsythia Artificial Wreath for My Front Double Doors and 2 sets of colored Tulips for an artificial floral arrangement at this Ollie's Bargain Outlet. I also purchased Serta Soft Cool and Warm material Bed sheets throughout my browsing and price checking with comparison. Yes, this location maybe disorganized at times or messy areas of towels or other sale items but shoppers can be the reason because every time I shop here for a sale item or check on an ad item, the staff here are working the best they can and hard at times unpacking boxes to stocking shelves. I've been greeted with a Hello at times which is courtesy of them in between their busy work schedule. If busy at check out and a long line begins, another pleasant employee will open up another register. Seasonal merchandise is always plenty especially My last visit in February the store was ready stocked with Easter and Spring items which I posted photos of from the main center areas. I enjoy the Herr's Snacks, Moose Munch Popcorn, plus a certain Cereal Brand - SpecialK, Coffee K-Cups and Other Grab and Go items but Watch The Expiration Dates. I've never had a problem but just in case grab an item from the back or if up front check the date. The "Library" area lol is still great for Readers with Shelves of Books labeled with different signs for the different readers. Currently their Summer Ad is out with Window Air Conditioners, and Portable on Wheels too to get ready for the Heat of Michigan. Those would be good for College dorms or residents without A/C. I also noticed in their New Flyer for the month of May, they are selling a brand of different tools called Hart. How about a front or patio door Coir Mat? Its now at Ollie's in the Outdoor Patio Section. Overall I enjoy my Ollie's Bargain Outlet. They always have a large, albeit random, selection of products. I will however admit that the store could be much more clean and organized, as the floor and shelves are often messy, and many aisles are almost bare of products. While this is unfortunately the case, I must add that I do see employees out doing what they can to remedy the situation, and all of the employees I've interacted with have been friendly and helpful. The store is large, and I love their huge selection of books. They also have a very large parking lot, so there is no issue finding a spot. It's great for yard and home items, also rugs and carpet remnants. Ollie's could use some polishing, but it's still a great quick stop shop. read more

This was our second time shopping at this particular store. We prefer this one over the other one closer to us. This store is cleaner and has a nice variety of items to choose from. We enjoy purchasing body wash, shampoo, laundry detergent, fabric softener, laundry scent boosters, books, food items, towels, seasonal items and other assorted items from here. The selection is always great, and the prices are good too. Our cashier was friendly, and got us rung up quickly. This store is great for stocking up on household essentials at decent prices. read more

I realized it's been eight years since my original review. The last couple of times I was in the store, I noticed they no longer play the older oldies so it was a better listening experience with the background music. :-) They usually have one register open, but they do keep an eye on the line and will call for extra help to get the line down if it gets too long. Also, there's usually someone on the floor putting out stock if you need help or have questions. For an outlet store, it's not bad. You can get some pretty good deals on a whole variety of items from health and beauty to home goods to toys and books and automotive and sporting goods and even rugs. With any outlet store you never know what you're going to find, which is part of the adventure of seeking out the deals. They also send out coupons if you sign up for Ollies Army. So all in all, it's worth it to browse and see what deals you can find. read more

Prices were good, unfortunately one item I really wanted was out of stock. It was a hand held battery powered leaf blower. Service, though, was good. read more

Great spot for finding good deals, just like the commercial says! There are tons of hidden gems here. With such a wide variety, it's hard to leave without something for yourself or someone else. Easy to spend a couple of hours browsing! read more

This establishment is very nasty towards customers. Today's experience was horrible, sad to say Ollie's is no longer a favorite of mine. Had a terrible time obtaining an item paid for that i left in store because the store associate didn't bag it. I called and the associate who answered stated after their manager see the camera footage and a receipt that I could get the item --I gave full detail about-- back. Once I arrived, I went to the counter where I left the item, and the associate rudely states "I told you on the phone he was at the door". I look back and see an older male without a uniform, smh some notice! Moving forward I'm spending my hard earned cash elsewhere! read more

Store isn't bad but always messy, in disarray. There is a woman that works there. Tall about 5'8-10 at least 200lbs and caucasian n she is so miserable n nasty. Always bitching about something. Policy is return anything with receipt. She's very begrudging in her consistent attitude. Put on a smile or move on! Had an injured L wrist. read more

Pretty good store when it comes to outlets. They have deals on a lot of stuff. They compare their price with other stores. However, I did find a few items priced higher than what I have seen at other stores. The store itself was not the cleanest. There was a lot of stuff thrown around everywhere. Stickers and dirt on the floor or even items. Some items had boxes or bags ripped open. I do understand it is a bargain store, and things can get a bit crazy. Some labels were wrong where items were placed. I even found some items broken on the floor. I did like the kitchen area. I might stop in again some day to look at what they have because some items were pretty cheap. I saw crock pots, pans for cookies and brownies, griddles, etc. The books section was pretty interesting. I did like coloring books for adults because I found some cheaper than Target. We even found cat trees larger than ours and cheaper than what we paid! Pretty awesome. Loved the pet section as well. The rug section made me happy because we have been struggling to find a ugly or thin rug for the litter boxes, and something the cats can scratch. A rug that is also easy to vacuum if they kick litter out. read more

I have been to this location several times and they definitely do have some great deals. They have excellent deals on books if you are just looking for something random (cook books, kids books, etc). I do agree with a few other reviews of the store in that it looks like a tornado went through the building. Things are just put anywhere and there are frequently things on the floor in the aisles. If there was some better organization in the store they would probably increase their sales because people could actually find things. read more

Wow - and I thought t j maxx was a junk store. Ollies has upped the game. They possibly might have everything you might need - but good luck finding it. A HUGE warehouse type place. Other than the book section- seemed like everything was in disarray. No employees around to ask where anything might be located. Ended up purchasing a flash light and some batteries. read more

This place is located next door to the Dicks Clearance center. There is a lot of parking. The store is super jumbled with a mishmash of stuff. They have so much in here that you could probably find decent deals. We found some champion T-shirt's we are using for projects, and if we had the patience it's probably could find a lot of things for a cottage or dorm room. It was too chaotic in here for us today, and it all smelled too strong. The customer service was kind of rude. read more

I live a ways from most locations and the Utica store was the only one that was will to go look for an item while I was on hold. (very quickly). This is the biggest Ollie's I've ever been to! My husband and I found soooooooo many things there! Probably a bunch of things we really didn't need, but isn't that the point of a store like this? Ollie's always has the best prices read more

An interesting mix of products, you can find some good deals like on hair and body products. Not the highest quality but you definitely don't expect that coming here. One main negative was the long wait at the registers, should have opened extra registers to make it go faster. read more

Why didn't anyone tell me that Gibraltar simply relocated to Hall road!? This place is flea market on steroids!! We came here looking for a shark book because the current flyer mailed to our house advertised that they "....bought tons of inventory from a current store that went bankrupt!" Real terms: They bought tons of stuff from Toy R Us- dirt cheap, and are reselling it. Yup, sounds like a flea market business to me. But as a mom with five kids, and an specific advertisement that said "...kids books at rock bottom prices", I didn't care what kinda store it was, it was worth checking out! And boy can I tell you- BOOKS they had! By the boat load! Sooo many books. Of every kind of genre! And dirt cheap!!! Seriously! If you or anyone you know is a bookworm like our family is, this is your place! We found a LEGO book, complete with actual LEGO pieces for 2 figures and 2 build pieces for only $3.99! We found a paint by number that was over 50 for only $.49! We found a sticker book with over 1,000 stickers for $1.99- man I was dizzy looking at all the kids books. But the BEST thing- the one sole item we came for was a shark book, and we scored! We found a Discovery Kid Ultimate Sharks Encyclopedia- with a Discovery Channel DVD! Best part- it was only $4.99!! The DVD is over hours and the book and DVD retail at over $20! What a steal at the most sophisticated flea market ever! After digging through all the piles of books I just had to dip down other isle to seem what other treasures this place had to offer. Kitchenware and gadgets- yup! I grabbed a bamboo cutting board for $5.99. Lots of storage containers and flippers and silicone kitchenware. My kids dragged me away. Toy isles....wow. I dragged them away. Lots of toys, dirt cheap. It's a flea market on steroids people. Keep this in mind when your kids get invited to 7 birthday parties this school year! They have food. I was intrigued...and nervous. Again, it's a glorified flea market. Ok. My kids wanted chips. They drink green smoothie. They take vitamins. I do homeopathic stuff. They have lead stomachs. Get those chips and snacks. We're working from my truck today. Bonus. Those $1.99 chips rang up for $.49! They ran back and grabbed 4 more bags- yes they did! Fabreze, Lysol and Airwick things later and my husbands $24, we were happily on our way! If only I had gotten a tattoo, elephant ear and maybe a Cheetah tapestry for my living room the Gibraltar experience would have lived on! read more

This place is touted as a bargain outlet. They take items that weren't able to be sold at other stores because of defects or stock that didn't sell, and they sell it. I only ran into the store for some wasabi covered peas (currently my favorite snack) and they were amazing. I also noticed that their prices on dried spices were really good. read more

How to describe Ollie's, dollar store meets big lots and has a baby, Ollie's. There selection of items is vast. The book section is enormous and has current selections. The have toys, kitchen wares, carpet, some appliances, of course Christmas decorations. If you go, get their discount card and they have coupons. read more

It is what it is. It's one step below Big Lots. It's like Big Lots and Woolworths had an illicit affair. .. and Ollie's was born from it. The store is huge but cluttered. Aisles and aisles of stuff like garden supplies and books and wall art and then random bins of stuff like $3.00 Adidas shorts. There's a lot of stuff. I wouldn't make a special trip but if you happen to be in the plaza (perhaps visting the cool Salvation Army Thrift Store??) it's worth a look. read more

They usually have a good selection of all kinds of stuff, books, DVDs, rugs, snacks, toys, household items, and more. It can be kind of hit and miss for specific items, and it's not that often that they consistently have the same items all the time. They are good about advertising their "blow outs" or a certain item they have a lot of. The only problem I have is that there is usually only one register open and the line moves really slow. If they had more people on the registers, it would be 5 Stars! read more

You must watch what you buy here. My advice is get a price scanning app before you shop, scan the item then decide. I found 50% or more are not deals. Some did not even beat target or walmart daily prices. Buyer beware. Shop smart. read more

Suzette O below has a great review. I loved Big Lots, but it got all fancy and their prices went up; Ollie's is a good substitute. Yes, some prices are cheaper elsewhere, but other prices are absolutely amazing. I am definitely a fan of this place -- its worth a stop. Some prices here were insanely good deals. This place is way better than its competitors like Big Lots, Various Dollar Stores & What not. We stopped in because we had never heard of this place and had time to kill and left spending $50 and having a wonderful conversation with the staff. Will be back again no doubt. This is not a store you run in to get something. They might not have it, but if you have some time and want to shop around it's great. I have gotten some of the best stuff there. Ollies, Good Stuff Cheap. They have a fabulous Web site. Gotta go there and see!!!! read more
