If it handed out organs to dying people, it'd be Donor Tree. Unfortunately it doesn't. And with all the money it generates, it totally could. Or at least pay your employees better so they're not so annoyed all the time. And it's more exciting than Duller Tree, that's for sure. Barbi likes coming to Dollar Tree in Sugar Land because they usually have more stuff than the other locations, although this one hasn't really been as good as the others, and they seem to have earlier closing times and they seem to be less friendly and less well-stocked, and generally speaking when she comes here she doesn't find as much good stuff as she finds out at the other Sugar Land location, the one by Grand Parkway next to the LA Fitness in the HEB Plaza. She also loves the one on Hwy 6 a little bit towards Missouri City, located next to the 99 Ranch and Jusgo international grocery stores. This one on the other hand is the generic looking one at First Colony (across the hwy from the mall, close to Hwy 6). Plus we don't like this Plaza because it looks so generic and conservative, and from what I can tell, it really is. And so are the opening and closing times of this store. One of my songs says "our armies are planting the seeds of international Dollar Trees." It's true. These Dollar Stores are colonizing, essentially. This location needs some help. I've never been to a store that was so picked through. Shipping boxes with new items littered the isles. Most isles had a disarray of items, and not much was organized on the shelves. Also, if you are going to update your hours, please update online as well. They have variety of things here that I can do DIY's. However, I was so irritated that I asked the cashier which I believe is that Edward dude that the other Yelp reviewers keep calling out ... but I ASKED: please put my glass vases with wrapped paper around them. He said: we don't have some And they clearly did because I glanced at the paper infront of him and he goT embarrassed and wrapped ONE OUT OF THE 6 glass that I was taking and the rest he just put where ever... once I was driving I had to be like realllyyy careful. I wish I could give it no star rating. Dollar store has good things, but this store's customer service is badly lacking. The manager Kevin is the worse. trip 1. I bought 20 vases a month ago because I was planing to use for decoration, I was hesitant knowing the store police of no returns. But the cashier assured me that I could return and get store credit. I agreed and bought them. trip 2. I didn't find other to match and decided to return all of them. The store gave the hardest time. I could not return for credit. I had to keep them and exchange for other items. trip 3. I went to get few items with one of my 3 bags from them (never taken out of bag). Was told that I had only 30 days to return by Kevin the manager. trip 4. I had to bring my 2 other bags within the 30 days and had to randomly pick up 12 items. Kevin, went to lecture me about the policy, and said how rude I was for trying to argue my way, etc. By the way, the corporate policy allows exchanges and has not time limit. Kevin needs to read the corporate policy. No more trips to that Dollar store. read more

I like how this Dollar Tree is organized and neat. Plenty of parking, but I just can't locate it at first glance because the building signage is all the same font and the buildings are blend in together. I usually have to come to a complete stop and look at each building to find anything in this shopping center. Otherwise, if you're in the area, it's definetly one of the nicer Dollar Trees you could visit. read more

Like most discount dollar stores, Dollar Tree offers up some good deals on basic items and snacks as well as a large variety of knick-knacks. This store is brand new, a grand opening, so it's well organized and clean. Maybe the organization and cleanliness will last and it won't get messy like other stores but it's hard to say so soon. The employees were friendly and welcoming. Dollar Tree offers lower cost items like laundry detergent and supplies as well as dish washing detergents. Other cleaning supplies are sold as well including sponges, scrubbers, mops, buckets, disinfectants and bathroom cleaners. They sell pretty much any household supply. They sell a variety of paper plates, plastic cups, utensils, napkins and other items that are a great grab for a picnic or family outing. This is a great place to come get a bottle of water, soda, candy bar or other snack. You can often find candy bars not sold in most convenient stores. It's not a place to find top brand names. It is a discount store, after all, and prices are low. Nonetheless, it will be handy for me to grab a bottle of water or candy when I'm in the area. read more

I felt so sorry for the lady working today at the Sugar Land, TX location. Her name was Elizabeth. I told her this was the worst run store that I had ever seen. She explained that they can't keep employees because if they find something that pays more they will quit within a day. She is overworked and underpaid I'm sure and is working her rear off for Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree needs to step up and pay their employees more to keep them around. Corporate should come down and look at this store it's a complete mess and always has been. I frequent Dollar Tree all the time all over the city and this one is by far the worst I've ever seen. Boxes everywhere and very unorganized. Elizabeth was afraid that her coworker was not going to show up today and it was only going to be her. I was in there yesterday and the line was so long and only 2 people working. Elizabeth was so sweet and didn't complain and is a hard working employee. Seems to me she should of been resting at home at her age but not everyone has the luxury of that unfortunately. Here she is working long hours at Dollar Tree probably making minimum wage. Corporate needs to get involved and make some changes. I'm posting this on every social media platform, Yelp, Google, etc so that Dollar Tree hopefully will see this. All good things must come to an end. Continuing my shopping at each Dollar tree to purchase the jars I ended up at this one. HORRIBLE! I was in line to pay and the guy checking me out was tossing all items GLASS in the bags- I asked him if he wanted me to help him wrap them with newspaper and he said They do not do that there. I thought we'll that's strange because the other 6 I have been to do. I then asked if he had a box and he said no. Strange again. I looked at his name tag and it read Edward and Manager. What a shame. I left all the items there because they would have broken. He wasted my time getting everything and going out of my way so now he can spend his time putting all the stuff back up. Better organized than most other dollar stores. We brought some table flower vases for a dollar each. The cashier wrapped each vase well. A good place to shop on a tight budget. read more
