I came here looking for a tuxedo shirt for an upcoming gala. I saw the one I wanted online, but they didn't have it in the store. However, the sales associates happily helped me search for it until we finally gave up. I then started looking for a large black bow tie, but they didn't have that either. The assortment of apparel on the men's side is good, but I wish they carried a couple more items. The service is great tho. Everyone from the sales associates to the cashiers were friendly and helpful. I ended up buying some socks and underwear which were at a great price. I saved about 30-40% of the original cost of the items. I'll come back again in the future when I have the time to really sort through the stacks. read more

My youngest daughter and I dropped by in the late afternoon to buy some summer clothing from the previous season. This was my first time visiting and I was impressed. The store was brightly lighted and everything were in an orderly fashion. Large selections and sizes were available. Prices were so affordable. Sanitary station with wipes, gel, masks, and gloves were located immediate inside the entrance. All the employees were friendly and check out was quick. Managed chaos = Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom Rack is a bit like a slightly nicer Marshalls (of which I am not a fan). The store is partitioned into sections (mens, womens, accessories, etc...) but then within each sections you just have racks you have to spend forever digging through. I'm not too impressed with their organization within each section, it feels lazy. I don't have the time or patience to dig through each rack to find one item that may be worth it. Also, many of the clothes are mixed up by size, so you think you've found something you like, but low and behold it's in the wrong place. My husband _loves_ a deal on clothes. He hates spending money on himself, BUT he couldn't find a single thing worth buying here even when he was in desperate need of new clothes. My encounter Today with Alysha or Aisha(did not have a price Tag on) was very distasteful. She was very rude,unprofeseional,inelegant in tone and character and disruptive. Even her supervisor had to correct her to allow finish talking to him..I had to say it 3 times.So much for insubordination.If you cant listen to even your own supervisor,that means you dont know when and where to draw a personal and professional line so you should not be working at any company..If you are jumping customer2 behind ahead of those first in line and a customer brings it to your attention to do the right thing and still choose not to,that is a shame. read more

Granted, I'm not a brand name hog--as long as it fits and I look good in it, I'm satisfied, but as I get ready to turn the big 3-0, I know I need to update my style a little from classy to sophisticated, but sexy, so I decided to go inside and see what was going on at the rack! Honestly, I didn't think the place carried my size, but I was pleasantly surprised to see a women's plus section (up to 3X)! I've recently lost weight, so I decided to try on 8 outfits--just to see what they looked like. You'll be glad to know Ladies and Gents that you can take up to 15 outfits into the dressing room at a time! For real die hard shoppers, that may still not be enough, but it was beyond what I'd try on. Who likes taking off their clothes that much anyway--oh, I probably do not want the answer to that question lol but hey bottom line, the rack provides a spacious place to try on future desired attire! Unfortunately all the dresses I tried on were too big (yea weight lost), but :( because they had some really cheap and classy dresses I would have loved to wear somewhere (if I can get a guy to take me out once in awhile)! Shoes hogs beware--the place is bombarded with a massive shoe section and there is also a clearance section for each size! I'm not a big shoe shopper either (actually--hate shoe shopping), but you can't pass up looking at some fancy footwork here! I'm in the area quite often, so I look forward to coming back (with credit card in hand) ready to shop til I drop some bags in my car! Spouses, boos, and significant others, I suggest you either bring a book, play a game on your phone, or a pillow because you may be there awhile waiting. This location has better deals than the Westheimer Nordstrom Rack. Also, you will have a better chance of finding super designer items at this location than at the other location. I have seen a huge Burberry bag for $300 on hold at the Westheimer location; when I tried going back for it, I encountered some pretty scary ladies who were trying to get the same bag...let's just say...things got crazy quick. While at this Town Center location, I have seen a Burberry wallet of the same classic print just sitting there, waiting to be bought. Also, this location has gotten a good amount of Tory Burch bags for $200 or less, while at the Westheimer location, I have NEVER found a Tory Burch bag; and believe me, I have looked. Wow! Great selection of top name brand clothes and accessories. Although, it was still too rich for my blood... There are some deals to be had if you want the new awesome fashions at a lower than usual price. The store was very bright and welcoming. The staff was courteous and nice. The layout was your typical Marshall's/Ross type store. It reminded me of one those stores but with way better clothes... But again you will be paying a higher price. Nordstrom Rack's direct competitor would be Off Saks Fifth Ave. they also offer the same quality clothes at premium prices. So don't let my emphasis of price steer you away. I'm sure there are plenty of deals in that place. I will wait til I win the lottery though... Haha! read more

Yippeee!! A Nordie in the burbs. Well, a Nordstrom... Rack. This location has been open about a week. The clothing brand or range of price is marked above each glob of clothing. There are decent amount of accessories and they are all neatly arranged. Most of all, it is NOT crowded. I hate crowded stores. I do not want to fight you over this blouse just because there is a mark through the original price. Nor do I want to stand in line for an hour to pay for my discounted items. I did not do that here. A step up from the other discount stores. The price is slightly below Nordstrom's but you will still have to dig for what you want like you do at the other discount stores. HELL TO THE YES!!! Finally a Nordstrom Rack near my house. This store is huge and very organized. They have updated clothes, high quality, designer names & cheap prices. Place is clean, nice dressing rooms & friendly staff. The shoe department is freaking AHHHMAZING. Most shoes are half off and they have tons of inventory. I'm updating my review because I appreciate this place a lot more than I did before. I know I mentioned them in my last review, but they have these cardigans there for $16.50 or something like that and I virtually bought them in every color. Love them so much. Some things are overpriced, but you can definitely find some steals here and there. In my case, it's those cardigans that I'm crazy about. I also ended up finding some sweaters in the same brand as those cardigans and you better bet I bought every color of those too :X I also found a pair of awesome skinny jeans for around $35. Since I'm so small, it's hard to find a pair of jeans that isn't from the juniors section and the first pair I tried on from here were perfect. I think the brand was Vizzio or something like that. The service is pretty good - I've never really had to wait in line. read more

The customer service is better at the Post Oaks location. I've had several instances where staff was "standoffish" and did not seem to want to help. With that being said, some days are hit or miss. I might find something or I could leave empty handed. The store is quite big with shoes being all the way in the back in the left corner. Handbags/Jewelry/PJ/Sleep/Bras are all at the front side. Mens on the right side upon entering. Typical Rack with sections labels and clearance with the red signs. Holidays is when they do the "clear the rack" event where the red sticker clearance items are extra 25% off. Black Friday is 30% off! Weekends tend to be busier and sometimes you can expect to see some long lines at checkout. I prefer going on week days when there is less people so you don't have to be inches away from others when you're trying to find some deals in the clearance areas or during checkout. The only positive thing i have to say is there is one extremely nice and helpful sales associate. His name is Cameron (according to the receipt I got)!! SOOOO NICE!! read more

I had the worst interview and I'm glad I didn't get the job. One question I felt was inappropriate and I haven't ever been asked about if I've had any problem working with a different race/ethnicity? I asked her to repeat the question and she specified yet I still felt it was such an inappropriate question. I didn't say anything after the interview I asked people if it's something new but all of them said it was inappropriate. I've always worked in a place of diversity and haven't ever been disrespectful. If anything I feel like Nordstrom rack at sugarland has no diversity. Y'all need new people who aren't rude with interviewing. I haven't ever been asked such rude questions at an interview before. Don't apply at this location. Worst place to apply too. As I've said in other reviews, I'm not a shopper. I don't just go and browse. I usually only go when I know exactly what I want and I know I'm guaranteed to find it. Usually, I just buy what I need online. I was sweet talked into going to this place, and honestly, I liked it. It's several steps above other discount department stores, and much, much, much cleaner/nicer. (Is it because it's new, or because that's the way it's meant to be?) Regardless, they had a HUGE selection of men's items. HUGE. And rows upon rows of shoes for someone with big feet like myself. Staff was friendly and attentive, parking was abundant, and it's close enough to other stores that you just might be in the area anyway. I don't think I'll turn into a 'shopper', but I just might be tempted. read more

I didn't know there's Nordstrom Rack nearby... I LOVE this place! You can find great deals here on shoes, clothes, and purses, etc. I was looking for some nude sandals for a friends wedding, but didn't find what I was looking for. But I found a pair of black booties that are exactly like what I wanted last winter!!! They're from Cole Hann and have Nike air tech in the sole... I like everything about it but the only problem was the size ran a little bit small so the only pair they have did fit me T~T I was helped by the staff but they don't have other sizes in stock. Bye, dream booties... Though heartbroken, I still took a pair of flip flops, they're 50% off the original price too. When I got home I googled the booties, and on the official website they're on sale for $149.95, originally $268... If I remember correctly the pair was $85, or $58? Even though I'm used to shopping at the actual Nordstrom, I decided to give this place a look and see what it had to offer. It's your typical department store with everything from clothing to shoes to accessories for women, men and children. The clothing is arranged on racks with the prices on signs above each rack. As with any "discount" type store you have to sort through the gauche to find the good. The layout was rather haphazard but with a little skilled searching, and if you have the patience to do the digging around, you may find something here. I saw a few purses that were okay but nothing I would buy. The wallets were unimpressive. The shoe section had very little stock that was worth looking at. There were a few pumps that looked decent. However, sizes were limited. There were also some just plain ugly shoes, too. I skipped right over those. Before you buy shoes here, be sure to check the shoe over and look for scuffs or any irregularities as I did see this on several pairs. It seemed much of the merchandise here looked "banged up" and even old. The men's section carries some nice dress shirts and socks. The ties section seemed to have an excess of gaudy or just godawful, but you can find some tasteful ties. I don't know who did the merchandising displays, but they should be assigned another task. The display pairings of ties and shirts was NOT fashionable and clashed to the point of eyesore. This cuts down on appeal and is a bad idea for sales. Hopefully this will improve. The men's shoe area had a few deals on shoes like Cole Haan dress shoes but they were, like the women's shoes, from past seasons and some were tacky looking. I can't see myself shopping here again. Even though the staff is friendly and helpful, it's just not my kind of store nor did anything really appeal to me. I'll stick with the regular Nordstrom. read more

Came in to look for a new watch. I was looking in the display box at the watches but wasn't interested. I felt like I was being watched and out the corner of my eye, 2 male employees were staring me down. So I walked over to the bags and accessories area and was STILL being watched!! I pretended to mind my business and they were looking into the glass watch display box. Now maybe I was paranoid, but I'm pretty sure they were assuming I was stealing. You can't assume that someone who comes in and isn't dripping in designer is a thief. Utterly rude I don't appreciate having my every move being watched while shopping. FYI if you are a young female shopping alone I wouldn't shop here, unless you want to be watched like a hawk by old males. Their shoe selection is great however. read more

This place is very clean and the size of the place is very big. I wasn't expecting that i would find the nice article of clothing and shoes that I found here since I never been there before, i will say for people with big feet will love to come here because they had a bunch of nice dress shoes in sizes all the way to size 18, I wasn't able to check out many of the athletic shoes because I didn't get to see any. There is a huge range of clothes also for people of all sizes and decor for the house. The cashiers are pretty friendly and speedy at getting you out of the door. I believe in buying things local shops and support our cominity shops but they basically push you to shop from Amazon since I just had another bad experience at Nordstrom sugarland location . Just spent over $1.000 at Nordstrom sugarland .shoes's ropes are already broke off, and I took it to Nordstrom sugarland location to exchange it , they said that they can't do anything, it has not even been 90 days and worn only couple times . Manager was not helpful at all . And these shoes are over $100 dollars . Unfortunately we will never go back there again , and please stay away from that location because staff and manager is so rude and unhelpful , maybe it's different at other locations . I am just so upset that my $100 is wasted because of that manager . I already threw in the trash those shoes . There's heavy competition in Town Center, Nordstrom Rack's only advantage is possibly it's discounted high end brands, but for shoppers who care more about trendy fashion than labels, then the high end brands aren't really much of an advantage. Yes, this is a good place to shop for discounted high end brand names, but as far as trendy eye-catching fashion, aside from the typical True Religion or Calvin Klein brands, I'm not sure this new store can compete with it's neighboring stores who offer more current trendy styles. I've never shopped with this company so as far as I know this selection of merchandise is ideal for the stores clientele. As a Sugar Land resident I figured I would experience it. There are some good pickings here and there but you have to shop with an open mind and have the time to decide, and have the patience to wade through the crowd, the walking space is very inconvenient and can become crowded from just 3 people being in the same area, saying excuse me is constant because of the tight roaming space, people pushing and abandoning baskets and employees with their restocking racks, there's a lot of activity on the floor that makes it uncomfortable to causally browse. Anyone shopping with a specific style in mind might be disappointed. I went in looking for a nice heel for my daughter to wear to homecoming but I found it frustrating having to travel various isles and excuse myself pass other shoppers only to come across one or two formal shoes scattered here and there. It's actually setup like Ross Stores, not categorized by style or function, just a random selection of shoes grouped together by size on an accordion shelf. Again, this is not the best place to go if you have a specific want and hope to see a wide variety of it in one convenient section. Convenience is not offered here. Employees are hard to spot, can't tell which is a sales representative and which is a restocker, just see frantic employees carrying boxes. I'm not a person who needs to be catered to, but when the products are not categorized it would be nice to have some employee guidance. Overall, it's just another store in the shopping area, the selections are no better than Marshalls or DSW and the setup is no more polished than Ross and the service no more helpful than Macy's, it's all the same with the addition of some high end brand names. read more
