Like a dive-bar, this is a dive store. You get the picture. This chain or one just like it has taken hold all across America and I am not sure what that tells us but I am thinking it is something to pay attention to. When you walk in here you can immediately sense an undercurrent of despair. It's hard not to feel sad for the state of affairs related to US consumerism on many levels which helps create such a glut of second rate merchandise. With that said, I have a like-hate relationship with this place because there are those times I am pleased enough to buy a few things for not much money. Have I rescued the merchandise though or have I just added more junk into the community at large? It's hard to be sure. Some of the items I buy are paper goods. In general I loathe eating off of paper plates or plastic plates. But there are times I do need them and at least with the paper goods, Dollar Tree has a good selection in many colors. Starting in the fall the Christmas merchandise starts to appear. This is where I have started to buy Christmas gift bags and decorative boxes of which they always have a great assortment. Skip the wrapping paper because it is thin and cheap but the bags and boxes are a great way to festively package up gifts. We were going to be staying in a cottage a couple of summers ago and were uncertain whether there would be ample plates and glasses. So I came to this Dollar Tree and purchased 8 quite sturdy white ceramic plates, an assortment of drinking glasses including some ridiculously heavy but certainly quite usable wine stems. All this for just a few dollars and we were happy to leave everything behind at the cottage when we left. That felt like a score. They also sell glass platters and bowls here which I've purchased for the express purpose of using when I bring food or a baked good to a friend or neighbor. The recipient can keep the bowl or platter, I don't have to worry about getting something more precious back to me and I avoid the tacky look of wrapping something in foil. For a dollar an item it is hard to beat the practicality of this idea. Dollar Tree has other kitchen items like pots and pans, baking sheets, dishtowels, pot holders and the like. Again maybe okay if you're temporarily outfitting a vacation rental but other than that I think this stuff will never hold up and therefore not worth it even for a dollar. There are some toys and games mostly ones you've never heard of, coloring books and other children's items. There are crayons but not Crayola however in a pinch I am sure they would be fine. There is packaged food for sale including some questionable items in cans which I can't imagine being brave enough to try but I know people do purchase them and are perhaps relieved to have a food option at this price point...sad but an unfortunate reality of hunger in America. There are pet toys and dog and cat food...again, the provenance of these items is questionable and I would not purchase. There is a layer of dust on many things here, a faint musty odor in the air, hit or miss service at the registers which are never properly staffed and often very long lines at the checkout. But for that occasional item, Dollar Tree is A-OK if indeed you can get in and out before a sense of gloom and despondency overtakes you. Keep hand sanitizer in your car or purse as you will probably want to use it after handling so much dusty merchandise. read more

This is about the best organized Dollar Tree location I've seen so far. I primarily shopped the cosmetic aisle when I was here which is a very tricky aisle for a store to keep organized and well faced. Well, this location nailed it. All of the various shades of a certain product were all hung on one peg. And by that I mean one peg for each shade unless there was a lot of one thing, then I did see two facings of the same item. There was a pretty good variety of shades and a lot of them were ones that I use. I ended up buying about 6 items this time around. I had been in this store several times before today and I figured where the store has kept things so nice over the at least 8 to 10 years that they have been open that it was time to give this location some acknowledgement for the hard work that they appear to be doing here. I only wish I lived closer to this location so that it could be the location that I primarily go to. It is a little more distance than I'd like for me to get there but when I happen to be in that area I always make it a point to stop here and get any items that I think I will be needing for a while and I do stock up. Also when I was in there this afternoon nothing was dusty. I can tell that this location sends the workers around with dusters to wipe off the products that they are selling. There were about 5 people in each line when I arrived to the front end to pay for my stuff, and two cashiers on duty, and the line moved a lot faster than I had anticipated so I am also very pleased with the speed of service. I will be frequenting this location for many years to come. read more

Staff is friendly and polite. They have no trouble assisting you in what you want and offer suggestions if needed.

Maybe because we're new to the area but I always find it a pain pulling into this location and getting out as well. This store has your standard Dollar Tree assortment and usually you'll find a thing or two that is useful that you didn't think they would have. But like most Dollar Tree's they should open up an extra register when that person who has 100 items and won't let you go in front of them when you only have a couple to a few items. Seriously if you gotta buy 100 items at one time at dollar tree it's time to re-think your life choices! When those people aren't in line this is not a bad Dollar Tree to go to and most certainly better than the other one on Route 18. read more

2 stars because dollar tree DOES take coupons and they are hard to come by so when you wore manufactures coupons for items that they get in at times they are allowed to accept them . I give this location 2 stars because they have so many excuses to why they don't take them and it's all because they want to meet there stores numbers each week this is not okay and when I contacted cooperate they said all dollar stores are to accept all coupons as long as they meet the requirements of the item sold . read more

I am Dollar Tree dork! There are many DTs in the area, however this DT is not picked over as the other ones in Quincy. They are well stocked and have a great variety of items to choose from. Their seasonal section is on point and they have a lot of nice friendly staff members. Another bonus is this store is not as crowded as the other DTs. There is ample parking and there are some good places to eat nearby. I found items I have been looking for at this DT. I believe most DTs get their deliveries on Tuesday or Wednesday. That is the best day to go. They carry a lot of brand new products. This isn't your run of the mill funky smelling dollar store. It is a great place to get party items and balloons. read more

Prefer to rate it no stars. Me and my boyfriend were in the checkout (covid 19 style) obeying the line law. I was standing on the line to put the items on the conveyor belt. The cashier made a case out of that fact. As she waited on us all three of us were making non confrontational sarcastic comments regarding the issue. Twice she took her mask down from her mouth to continue her rave. We left the store because we were told to leave. How did she get away with getting us thrown out for standing on a line but she was able to take down her mask twice. The manager sided with her. They think that we won't be back because they say so--We wouldn't go back if they gave us coupons for their shitty cheap products. And we're not young and reckless. read more

I have been in love with Dollar Tree stores since the first time going in one. Yet they are not all exactly the same. This one is my absolute favorite hands down!!! It's always fully stocked and I always find so many things that some if the other stores don't have! read more
