Looks like I've found my new lash lift location. I was going to wink lash for about a year but my girl moved to SA, and the new one was okay but never consistent. Very professional work - This was my 2nd time getting my lashes done. The first time I had them done at a different establishment and had a terrible experience. I was reluctant coming here because dog past experiences elsewhere , but my experience was amazing! I got my eyelash extensions for the first time this past Wednesday and I can't explain to you how much I was satisfied what it look and feels like. I love it. Its been a year since I had lash extensions, I used to go to Amazing lashes however it seemed they started getting sloppy and my lashes were getting glued together, the "discount plan" never lined up with my refills etc. I made an appointment at Dollface Lashes, (found it on yelp) I loved that I could make the appointment online, I like being able to look at the open appointments and my planner at the same time. Unlike the other lash place, Charlie asked what look I was going for and cared about what I wanted. The room was large and I didn't feel like I was being shoved into a cubicle. Charlie made sure I was comfortable at all times and did a fantastic job. I feel like the lashes are lighter and prettier than the other place. I love being able to pay through square and don't have to tell the receptionist what I want to tip. I would recommend this to anyone over the "franchise" type places. read more

Someone had left me a message. I have to make some correction to my post. I apologize, his name is Charlie, not Richard. That like other left good comments to this salon, I have to be honest to myself and to whoever read my message. I always doubt that men can do great services on my nails and face. Yes, this is 3rd time some guy failed my trust when he promised he would do a great job on me. Richard, I was so disappointed, you did a really bad job on my lashes. First of all, he told me that another girl's schedule was fully booked for one month. He said he does good job, too. I asked him if they can do volume, he said: of course. By the time I got out of the studio, I had less extensions on my lashes. Also, he is not knowledgeable to deal with 1. Asian girls' lashes. WE HAVE THIN LAHES!!! That doesn't mean you cannot do lash extensions. If you don't know how to apply, just say it. Why made me pay you 2 hour at $95 for you to just swiping my lashes over and over again???? 2. Latisse contains oil. You do not suggest people who have lash extensions to apply Latisse! In 2 HOURS, I felt like he did nothing at all on my lashes, I knew he took some of my old extensions out, but the rest of the time, he didn't do nothing at all! In the end, he just told me my lashes were too thin to work with. Where was my refill??? I ended up being charged 2 full hours work of nonsense. He kept telling me that I have to use Latisse. Is that the excuses you can use for not telling me you really have not enough experience in doing your job??? I didn't say nothing because I just didn't want to waste my time on someone I would never want to see again. Still, I tipped him 20%. When I got home, I realized my lashes were much less than usual. My left eye, had much less lashes than my right eye! You can check the picture I posted. On the second day, I flew to NYC. I thought I could look pretty for the trip but I didn't. Thanks to you, Richard! My lash looked far from pretty. On the next day, I soon found a place on the 5th Ave to fix my ugly extensions what Richard has done to me. I finally had my look back. Listen, I have thin lashes and I have lashes extensions on for more than 4 years. Other places have no problem with my thin lashes, why can't you? Richard, I drove a long way to come to see you because I believed what you said on the phone. But the fact was, your work sucks, and that, Latisse cannot help! read more

Just wanted to post an update for Dollface.. I'm still getting my lashes done by Kirsten and honestly, I don't plan on stopping! She goes above and beyond every single time. She books up pretty quickly but is so accommodating. After seeing pictures of her client getting her brows tinted, I had to try it! And, I LOVE it! I'm generally low maintenance when it comes to makeup so having lashes and brows done makes my morning routine a breeze.. I highly recommend it :) As for the person (R B.) who wrote a bad review, she clearly did not get her lashes done at Dollface.. the only male that works there is not named Richard! A bit on the expensive side, but the lash quality is very good. Light and soft. And they had brown Russian volume lashes, which are apparently REALLY hard to find in Houston (or in US in general). It took me two weeks of calling around to find a place that works with brown volume lashes. I'm a blond with hazel eyes, so I personally think that the brown lashes look much better and more natural on me due to my fair skin tone and light hair. The appointment was great and my tech was very gentle and nice. I had a previous set completely removed (from a different salon) and put on a full set of Russian 3D volume in brown. The only comment I have is that the lashes weren't put on anywhere close to the skin line and almost half way down on my lash. So far I've had them on for about 2 weeks and they've help up pretty well. Some natural lash shedding, which is to be expected. I think because the lashes are light (much lighter than my previous set), they aren't as heavy as other brands for being 3D. I also take good care of the lashes and have been doing extensions for over a year. I plan on going back for a refill next week. read more

I have been going to Kirsten for over a year now and I am always satisfied every time I leave her office. I have super sensitive eyes so at first I was skeptical of getting my lashes done but Kirsten assured me she uses nothing but the best and safe material which is true all the way. She has so many different sizes to the size of curl and different colors which not many salons offer at their place. I always tell her whatever she thinks is the best look for me and she offers to try different things for me since I have difficult eyes to work with and they come out to be perfect. People always ask if these are my real lashes because her work makes your lashes look so real. I won't go to anybody else except for her because I have seen other extensions but her work always looked the best. She's a big time perfectionist and also she makes time for each appointment so she doesn't feel rushed with each of her clients. I come back to her office every 3 weeks and they still look good with the proper care. She gives you a cute little card with post-care instructions and a lash brush. Went and had my lashes "lifted, curled, and tinted", Charlie G did them and I have to say I love it! my lashes are long, but not terribly thick and certainly don't have any real natural curl to them making me have to use the Lash curler a lot.. and when mascara is put on , they become straighter.. so then I have to curl again and again til I get them just the way I want them. NOT Now.. as a result of the treatment, they have a curl and I only need to 'touch' it up with the curler. After my neighborhood FB page recommended Dollface, I decided to give it a try. I went with the Russian Volume Lashes and I haven't looked back. Easy place to get it and the office is so comfortable. Charlie has done mine and I won't be switching to anyone else. He does a great job making sure I am comfortable and is SOO quiet when he works.
