I have been thoroughly impressed & involved in this outstanding Aesthetician Beauty Academy for years now!! The girls (mostly) give AMAZING basic facials & since I've started getting the advanced facials, my skin has NEVER been in such great condition! The advanced facials include microdermabrasion, chemical peels, derma-planing & nano-needling. Not to mention back facials They use Dermatologica brand products. The staff are SO INCREDIBLY professional including Kala @ the front desk, Burgundy & Ashley, just to name a few. Would HIGHLY recommend becoming a client & paying the monthly fee to get as many services you can fit in your schedule! They do waxing, make-up & eyelashes! They also just added massage! read more

The academy is a joke. They charge $10,000 and do not teach these students the skills they need to go out and excel in this profession. Found another school for $2,500 and have learned so much more and realize that I was suckered into paying all that money for them to profit, not for any skills that they would give me. Do Not do business with Julia. She does nails here and is very unprofessional. I attempted to set up an appointment with her for 6/2/2020 @ 10am, paid her a $40 deposit and showed up only to find out she was not there. Mind you this drive also took me 40 minutes. One of the nice girls at the front called her for me and then said she would be sending me a message on Instagram since that is how she communicates to schedule her clients. She basically told me she forgot to go back and read my message to put me in and I should have known I didn't have an appointment if she didn't email me a confirmation. I was not told I needed to receive this email confirmation either however she did have my email address to be able to send it to me if needed. I was only informed she needed me to cash app her a $40 deposit and when she requested that I paid it right away. She tried to reschedule me for the following week. After deciding that same day no other days would work out with my schedule I asked for a refund of my $40 deposit since she never put me down for an appointment on her books that would require such deposit. She got very rude with me basically saying I haven't given her time to put me in!! I then told her once again I did not want to schedule anything with her given the circumstances of my first attempt. I'm just blown away at her delusion to this unprofessional situation that she essentially dropped the ball on. I feel she should give me my money back and I did request it back through cash app with no response from her. I go back to message her on Instagram today only to see she's blocked me now!! Microblading is the art of making cuts in your eyebrow, think of it as a pencil with a sharp point and depositing dye into the strokes made. It's a semi permeant procedure and the pigment deposited into your eyebrow will fade over time. Microblading is one of the latest trends similar to eyelash extensions that is worth a try to see if it's your thing or not. I made an appointment with Dolly to get my eyebrows microbladed because I'm missing some gaps/chunks/spaces on my right eyebrow (you can tell in my profile picture). It's really not a big deal, but I waned to get it done for my birthday and have the spaces filled in. An eyebrow has a head, body, and tail and mine looks weird with a small chunk missing on the head of my right brow, so I wanted her to fix it. Dolly started the process by using an eyeliner to draw the eyebrow shape you desire using careful measurements, followed with a comfortable area to lay down while she carefully fills in your brows. Vicodin is used to numb the area, but I think my body metabolizes medicine quickly and I requested her to apply more. I feel that I have a somewhat high tolerance for pain and sometimes the process did hurt. I think she did an incredible job, but I won't be able to see the results right away since my brows will form scabs during the healing process. For people that don't have eyebrows, I highly recommend getting this done or people like myself that want spaces filled in their brows because eyebrows are so important and they frame your face. It's one of the first things people look at when they make eye contact with you. I love the fact the strokes are natural looking and mimic your real brows. Dolly is not only professional, you can tell that she speaks from her heart and wants you to be relaxed about the experience. She's so sweet and kind! I thought it was worth the short amount of pain experienced to be able to see the results of her artwork and will continue to get my brows filled in once or twice a year because the strokes are so natural and fill in nicely with other eyebrow hairs. I visited a few places before I decided who I wanted to have my microblading services with. It was my first time and on my face so I had to be sure :) I was absolutely satisfied with the consultation and results after my first appointment with Ashley. I asked a million questions and she was very patient with me. She kept the room and all of her equipment clean and sanitized. I went back today for my touch up and my brows still look AMAZING!!! Ashley is the best she definitely knows what she's doing. She's also proud to show her before and after pictures!! I highly recommend going to her after all my research with other people/ companies. Dolly Monroe Studios is definitely a top notch salon here in the New Tampa area. I visited the salon early morning to see if I could book an appointment and received a friendly greeting from Taylor at the front desk. She was able to set up my appointment for a color service the same day. I came back within the hour and I had the opportunity to have Ashley as my Pro Stylist. She walked me through the whole color process which included a strand test. She is very professional and very kind and I have to add she is a perfectionist! I reached out to Dolly for my wedding makeup in 2016 after discovering her page on Instagram. We had a consultation at her salon prior to my wedding day, she was professional and patient as we came to an agreement for the best look for the big day. On the day of my wedding she arrived at the location on time with her entire kit ready to go. She worked on my face for a little over an hour adding a beautiful goldish lip color and strip eyelashes to round out the look. Dolly is a master blender as the markup perfectly matched complexion. At her salon she has every shade of make under the sun to match any person from fair to dark chocolate. My make up looked natural which I loved and my wedding day photos came out beautifully.
