We were hosting a party at All Star Lanes and had Dolly's provide the pizza. We had 8 large pizzas in all. I ordered a day early which they were happy to do and didn't want payment until the pizza was delivered at the lanes. The pizza arrived on time and was piping hot. First, when I review a place, especially someplace I am getting it delivered or picked up, part of my review is based on the phone ordering. That part was the weakest issue they had, the guy that answered seemed disinterested in answering the phone. A lot of times, they are that way until they realize I'm not doing a delivery. However even after I told him I was doing a pick up, he still seemed very disinterested. They were very accurate in the ready for pick up time. I like the fact that the boxes were not flimsy like you see a lot of pizza places now. The prices were reasonable. The pizza itself was pretty good, I would've probably done a combination of butter and garlic on the crust next time. The cheese bread was much better then the pizza. However they don't give you free sauce or anything for dipping, you have to pay for it. In the end, I would recommend this place. However, for the reasons stated above it didn't overwhelm me to the point were I would put this into my regular rotation of pizza places. read more

I have been a long-time customer of this Dolly's location in Walled Lake. Today, I placed an order by phone. When I returned home , some distance away, I discovered that they had given me the wrong type of pizza. When I called back and spoke to the person who took the order, "DONOVAN", (oddly enough, the receipt said "Smiley") argued with me and told me I was lying! (Why would I be doing that?) When I told him that I was going to speak to the owner, he very smugly informed me that the owner was his father! I have been going to this location for years, but I will never return now. Dolly's pizza is the best chain pizza in the area. This location moved- it used to be between the Dollar store and laundry mat but is now inside All Star Lanes Bowling Alley. The dough always tastes fresh, the cheese and toppings do too. The cheese bread and the breadsticks are so good. I highly recommend the garlic cheese dip; it is the reason I will go out of my way to get food here. The staff have been the same for years which is always a nice thing to see at a place like this. we ordered a cheese pizza to the bowling alley right next to it and they came in with a pepperoni pizza. we then asked for a cheese pizza saying it was what we ordered and they started swearing at us and saying that it wasn't what we ordered and we told them that we couldn't eat pepperoni because one of the people in our group was a vegetarian and they just stormed off and threw the pizza at us. after that we went to talk to the manager and the manager started yelling and swearing at us saying how we ordered a pepperoni pizza (we didn't) and saying that we were just trying to take their money and then we gave up on it and went back to continue bowling. about 10 minutes later a different employee came over just to yell at us. read more

I like the on line ordering, and the folks who work there are always very friendly when I stop in to pick it up. (I prefer to pick up versus having it delivered.
