The pizza was some of the closest to NY pizza that we have had, great flavor and crispness on the crust, the sauce and basil both tasted so fresh and delicious! Ordered a gluten free pizza to go. I was impressed on how it wasn't burned like half of the places around and the dough was crispy and good. I wasn't such a fan of the sauce, think it needed a little bit of more marinera flavor. The ingredients seemed fresh and delicious. Definitely a good place to try for some authentic pizza with more real and authentic ingredients. There are a few tables and chairs to eat there but there is a sign that says take out only. Pizza and service was very good. The sauce, while good, was a little lite on flavor and sweet which keeps it from being even better. The price is on the high side so not going to b a regular visit place when other very good pizzas are 25% or more cheaper. Will go on occasion for something different just not every month. read more

The service was great and pretty efficient! We ordered take out so I'm not sure how the ambiance was. Overall the food was tasty, however, it should be noted that most of the food was missing something. The elote pizza was delicious, but there wasn't something about the pizza that was missing, maybe just some sort of acidity. The risotto balls were delicious, but outside of just the fried and cheese it just seemed to fall flat. The last pizza was a good standalone, but I think it needed much more balsamic glaze for more differentiating taste within the pizza. Again, not bad overall, I'd give it a try. read more

First and foremost I want to say I can't believe I didn't take a pic of this pizza. Granted, I would have had to use my super wide angle lens because this thing was huge. I was meeting some friends in the walled Lake area to drink some bourbon, smoke a cigar, watch football and eat pizza and this spot had pretty good reviews. There was six of us, so we ordered 3 large. So when they say NY style, they aren't joking. This is thin crust, enormous slices you see in movies. We got a cheese, a pepperoni and a mushroom. They also have a bevy of their own, not a couple the guys have the palate of 3 year olds and we couldn't do the mushroom and hit honey one with basil that I wanted. Tell me that doesn't sound delicious. So these pies were perfectly cooked first of all. If I had any complaint it would be the pepperonis didn't curl up and have that little cup of oil in each of them that was a prelude to the eventual acid reflux I will have later tonight. But this is the most minor of complaints because each pizza was delicious in every way. Each pies came out to about $30 with tip and even with 6 of us there was plenty left over for all of us. We were the last ones in for the night so we watched our get made while we took in the kitchen and conversed with the chef/owner. He's a graduate of a couple of culinary schools and it shows. We're both native Michiganders, used to common thick pizza. The thin crust is a new one on me and I'm afraid it'll take some getting used to. My partner loved hers though. The ingredients are, indeed, fresh and tasty. The pizza was huge and we got half of it veggie and half carne. I took two pieces home to eat at work...for two days! MiYork has fresh subs that are prepared to perfection. I got the Primo and it was delicious. The bread was fresh, lettuce was green and lush, not wilted, and the onions were crisp. There was a substantial amount of meat on the sub. I also got the garlic knots which were hot, soft, and tasty. Comes with marinara. Ok let's talk pizza. We tried a new pizza joint since our old one the son left and the crazy mom ran the pie place into the ground. MiYork is a different slice of pie. We tried both the mushroom and the carne. The mushroom was good and a pleasant experience for the palate. So I say it's a definite try. The carne on the other hand was a 9.8 on the Richter scale of flavor! Holy Cr@p!! The pepperoni, bacon and sausage were a perfect blend of spicy pork goodness!! So, we've lived in this area for years. This location has changed many different times, and MiYork is the newest to take it's place. Another pizza place. This isn't intended to be a bad thing, I love my pizza! The good; 1) The pizza taste is excellent. The ingredients do indeed taste on the fresher side. 2) Short wait time. I ordered Friday dinner time and it was ready within 30 minutes 3) Friendly workers! 4) Good Sauce - This is so hard to find these days. The bad; 1) The pictures posted a while ago are no longer comparable to what you get NOW. More on this later. 2) The price is a tad bit on the premium side. But I can forgive this MOSTLY. 3) Appearance. You know the saying you eat with your eyes first. This holds true here. Everything LOOKED the same. Nothing stellar making it stand out. (partially my fault, but it still stands) Now the order; 1) Margherita pizza - The wife LOVES her Margherita pizza and it takes a decent amount to disappoint her. However, the pizza left her wanting. There was little basil, no additional mozzarella (the old pictures show lots of FRESH basil and mozzarella rounds browned under the over) and just tasted "bland" to her. Picture attached to show what we received. Easy to see the massive difference. 2) Six Cheese Pizza - This is why I said it was partially my fault everything looked the same,... it's a cheese pizza. If you added some flecks of basil these pizza's would look nearly identical. The pizza itself had a nice taste and a good blend of cheeses. It is my personal fault I didn't realize it had Blue Cheese, but it honestly could barely be tasted. 3) Garlic Knots - These were actually disappointing. They held the appearance of Pillsbury's crescent rolls with some flakes of garlic and red chili flakes. Not much flavor here AT ALL. 4) Five Cheese Stuffed Bread - The star of the show in our opinion. To call it stuffed bread is a bit weird when it's appearance STARTED as that of just a calzone with extra cuts. But whatever, it tasted great Now for the difficult part. Was it worth the $50 (pick up, "support local fee" which wtf, and no tip obviously). Yes and no. I don't think I'll order the knots or the Margherita again. But we might try their other items. Especially since it's just across the street. Weirdly,... It just tastes like a new "chain" that arrived and is trying to fill a hole that wasn't empty. read more

We loved this place. We ordered a margarita pizza and added mushrooms and onions. Ingredients are very fresh. Pizza was tasty. I had a side salad with ranch. Side salad has a mixture of greens, onions and tomatoes. No big lump of solitary iceberg lettuce here. It's clear the owner makes the dressing from scratch. Really good ranch dressing. What a great spot! My kids and I were in Novi for an unexpected "vacation" (thanks, Delta for the three day delay), so we made the most of it by hitting an Escape Room and a trampoline park. When we got hungry, we found this little gem of a place and were surprised to be the only ones at the restaurant. Not sure where the other folks around here were at, but this place had some really good food. We started with a salad and ordered two medium pies (BBQ chicken and pepperoni ). The salad was fresh and had plenty of veggies besides the greens. But the stars of the meal were the pizza. Both had plenty of toppings, but not too many. The dough was crisp and still had a bit of a chew. After trying both pizzas, I was even more confused why there weren't more folks in the restaurant. The vegetarian pizza is amazing - so delicious. All the menu items are amazing - like a high end Italian restaurant. The salads with homemade dressings are phenomenal. I love Michigan pizza but get the craving for NY style pizza sometimes. MiYORK (pronounced My York) pizza is the answer. Perfect thin crust pizza with delicious toppings. I also ordered the peach habanero wings. The sauce was sweet and spicy but the wings themselves were the real winners. Fried extremely crispy and moist on the inside, absolute perfection! There are only a few places to sit so it's designed to be a takeout place. We paid $62 for 2 medium pizzas, 6 piece chicken wings, 3 drinks and a Cesar salad. A bit pricy but with fresh ingredients and delicious food, well worth it. I can't wait to try the pasta and sandwiches on the menu. I suggest giving it a try! This is a new Pizza / Italian carry-out called MiYork East Coast Kitchen on Pontiac Trail between Ladd and Beck Roads. I had a pizza there yesterday and have to say it was really excellent. It is a NY style foldable thin crust and I would encourage you to give them a try. They have a full menu of Italian food from salads to full pasta to sandwiches.
