This is my new favorite local pizza place! I usually order one of the Detroit style options, this time the chef's special. Some things to note: there is not too much parking available or room inside to wait for your pizza for carry out. They usually are running around 10 minutes behind the pick up time they quote over the phone. I do wish I could have the option of ordering online through their website.

Medium pizza with a glorious amount of pineapple chunks. Oh, and I also got pepperoni and sausage as toppings.

I've lived in Northville for years and passed by this place countless times. However, it has only been recently that I've developed a taste for pizza (okay, a craving for pizza might be a more accurate description). So when I saw Pizza Cutter ahead, I quickly modified my dinner plans and pulled into its parking lot instead. Inside, the staffer was extremely friendly and patient while I de-fogged my glasses to view the menu and place my order: medium pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage, pineapples, and tomatoes and cheesy bread. Such a good choice. The pizza was still piping hot by the time I got home; the crust was chewy and completely covered with toppings. I am generally picky about crusts (pizza, pie) but I have to say that this one was worth the carbs (the highest compliment I could give). So it seems that my pizza preferences are all over the map. I love Buddy's Detroit-styled pizzas. As a matter of fact, Buddy's was often where I would celebrate birthdays. I also love the creative, thinner-crust offerings from Bigalora. And now, I have a new data point; I love the pizzas here, where the crusts sit between those of Buddy's and Bigalora.

Pizza Cutter is AMAZING! If you're new to the Northville pizza scene, this is the place to be. Delicious square pizzas that are huge and full of flavor. Nice local charm to this place, feels like it is family owned. Quick service, pizza was ready when I got there in 20 min.

Just picked up these sorry looking dry husks of wings from Pizza cutter. I'm insulted they thought so little of me to push these things on me.

We much appreciated her help. Service by Jason was very good. We enjoyed the old world ambience, but it was very loud we must say. The food was spectacular. We began with the classic calamari and the daily special stuffed peppers. Both were outstanding. We especially liked the stuffed banana peppers. They were supposed to be very spicy, but they really weren't. Highly recommend them. A few of us had salads, which would nice especially the Caesar. The veal Michelangelo got rave reviews and was outstanding. The seafood was perfectly cooked with the veal and the sauce was amazing. The Veal Marsala likewise was wonderful. The veal was tender, the mushrooms, fresh, and perfectly cooked, and the marsala wine sauce was delicious. I've had this same dish, many places, and without question this was or close to the best I've ever tasted. We had three kids meals, which were all very good and very large portions. The lasagna was a huge hit as the penne pasta. The fettuccine Alfredo was wonderful, but too rich for the kids, so the adults enjoyed it! Desserts were all nice. The peanut butter cake, gelato, and Tartufo Dark. We had tried to order one order of gelato with two different flavors, but it came out with three orders of gelato each with three scoops. So definitely a mistake we got charged for, but it didn't matter because the kids ate it all anyway. The Tartufo Dark was the standout!

The first was delivery and it arrived perfectly prepared and exactly as ordered. I went with the seafood pasta and my family split an order or arancini. Everything was excellent. A few weeks later I came back through for dinner with some friends and we landed on the heated patio. It was cozy and comfortable. We split the bruschetta with prosciutto, goat cheese, and fig spread. Very good! For my entree I went with the asiago baci, little purses of an asiago and ricotta stuffed pasta tossed in a garlic cream sauce with tomatoes and asparagus. So so good! And a nice sized portion as well. For dessert we split a slice of the lemon torte. Light and delicious. The perfect end to the meal. I was there catching up with friends and we definitely moved a little slower ordering (too busy talking!) and our server was really kind and patient with us. A great experience all around.

The meatballs in the spaghetti dish were delicious. Flavorful and not dried out. The sauce tasted like it had been cooked with love. I also liked the short rib. The sauce had been elevated with some wine, and the meat was tender and rich. The accompanying potatoes were so creamy. I would order both dishes again. We each got a dessert. My husband got the tiramisu and I got the chocolate cake. I guess the tiramisu was just ok. I loved the chocolate cake. On our second visit, we tried the Rigatoni Caprino and the Chicken Marsala Florentine. Of the two, we liked the rigatoni better. It had that super red sauce on it. The sausage was on point, and the goat cheese complimented the rest of the dish so well. The marsala was good, though my husband I agreed we had both had better. The sauce just lacked something. My husband wasn't that impressed with the Crème Brûlée cheesecake, and wouldn't order it again.

For one, the food is very very good. Bravo has 4 dishes that I would say are exceptional: Chicken Marsala, the Chicken Scalopini, the Pasta Bravo and the Salmon Sandwich. The Chicken Marsala is one of the best iterations in the area. What I like about it personally is that it isn't overly sweet and fruity like many other Marsallas. The garlic and mushrooms are well represented in the sauce and the chicken is always moist and never dry. The Chicken Scalopini is the "freshest" version of Scalopini amongst Italian restaurants in the area. What I mean by that is that this isn't some processed white sauce thrown over chicken. This dish has one of the best lemon butter cream sauces in the area and the feta, mushrooms and capers make it the most sophisticated iterations of the dish in the area. It's far above Olive Garden's version and slightly above Carraba's. The Pasta Bravo is like a Penne Alla Vodka with chicken. The sauce is, again, very unique and the best of its type in the area. Bravo has great sauces! It's very very fresh tasting with no artificial sweetness or textures that plague other pasta dishes like this in the area. Finally, their Salmon Sandwich is possibly the best lunch option in the Livonia area. I don't know who their salmon supplier is, but for some reason the salmon they use is incredibly moist and buttery compared to others in the area. It completely makes the sandwich. Also, the aioli on the sandwich is very very good (again, Bravo has great sauces) This is a great restaurant to go to as a family. The booths are huge and they're not stacking you on top of each other like they do at other spots. It's always extremely clean and the layout is great as the full bar is available but secluded from the rest of the sit down area. Every server I have had at Bravo's has been wonderful. I've been many times and have never had a single poor experience. If anything, I find their waitstaff to be exceptionally courteous and prompt. Even though this isn't a diner, I get loads of refills on the coffee I always order and every accommodation I have from my diet has always been dealt with smoothly. I love the staff here. I will be back!

I took a star off this time for a couple of missteps that are easily resolved but impacted my evening as the host. When you detail the specials for the evening it should include the price. If you are charging $85 for lamb chops and $65 for scallops all parties should be aware. The host won't ask and the guest doesn't typically want to order the most exp thing on menu. Would I have still had scallops instead of the awesome $39 clams and linguine? Who knows. I inquired whether I should bring in a cake and was told they would do a sparkler and dessert. They did and charged me $18. I presented my Amex as I visited the powder room and planned to handle away from table. They put it on the table. This removed any opportunity to question anything. We eat out a lot and are fine dining foodies. The staff was friendly, food was hot and good but I'm not sure it takes a lot of skill to shake some Grey Goose with ice and pour into a martini glass vs $21 for a curated cocktail that takes skill and chemistry. A friend was babysitting for us tonight and we finally got to try it ... it definitely lived up to my expectations! We started off with the smoked Old Fashioned for my husband - $45 so a bit pricey, but the presentation was super nice - and a cocktail for me. We got the tableside Caesar salad - again pricey, $20 per person and if it's for two people you can get it tableside (which was REALLY cool btw) but if for 3+ people I don't think you can. They literally roll out this huge cart to make it though and it was pretty neat. I had the mushroom pasta with filet mignon tips and it was great; my husband had the sausage pasta which I also liked. We weren't planning on getting dessert (I think, haha - I was pretty full, at least), but we got the tiramisu and the tiramisu drink for my husband (I was driving). Both were very good - the tiramisu isn't large by any means but is enough for 1-2 people. The drink comes with a huge ladyfinger on top. Overall I was very impressed by the food, atmosphere, and waitstaff here - it's not an inexpensive place ($40 for two salads is a bit pricey!) but everything was fabulous, and I definitely want to return at some point. There's also a wine bar next door, I believe, and I didn't know that Prime 29, Nara, and a few other local restaurants are all in the same restaurant group/ownership as Aurora.

We both tossed out options and settled on this location of Aurora (no nachos here). My friend shared that the other location used to be Matter of Taste, a restaurant that sadly was on my to-try list. I loved the ambiance here: florals cascading from the ceiling, plants wrapped with twinkle lights, lush comfy chairs, and servers all in teal velvet jackets. This is the type of place one wants to make an effort for, spending more time selecting that perfect outfit. I had peeked at the menu online before the visit, and there was no question I would get seafood pasta. It had both the pasta that I was seeking and, of course, the seafood that I prefer. The tender linguine was topped with mussels, calamari, shrimp, and clams. My friend had the pasta with organic chicken and speck, in a cream sauce. That dish looked fantastic, as well. I ordered truffle Parmesan fries to start. I enjoyed them with the garlic mayo. She had the arancini in a pool of tomato sauce and fresh basil. We both opted for dessert, crème brûlée for me and a multi-layer carrot cake for her. Service was stellar. Our server shared her recommendations and checked in with us throughout our meal. The only drawback: There was a delay in parking as the valet blocked and stopped every vehicle before allowing those who preferred to self-park in. I think it's their sales technique.
