I came here with my wife and 4 year old and it was a great time! We came right at opening on a random weekday and the line to get in was still pretty long. Parking was a little expensive at $25, but I kind of expected that. Luckily for us, most of the people entering the park were going to Dollywood and not Splash Country, so we got to park our car near the entrance and didn't have to wait long at all to get inside. Importantly, my son was free because of a pre-K voucher that they were offering, which was very cool. We started off our trip with Big Bear Plunge, and it was a pretty decent water slide. We then hit up the splash pad before journeying into the wave pool, where we spent most of our time :) My son really liked the waves! It got a little boring for me, but whatever. It was sometimes challenging to find a tube for my son to ride in (it felt like a free-for-all!) but we managed to secure one most of the time. We wanted to ride Big Bear Plunge one more time before we left, but by that time the line was exceedingly long and our 4 year old was definitely not going to wait, so we just peaced out. The food was OK but not great, as expected. I liked that they offered complimentary water for everyone, since it was quite hot. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back! read more

Splash Country and Dollywood lack adequate handicap accessible parking. Instead of creating more handicap accessible parking, they blocked all the surrounding spots off and marked them as $55 "preferred parking". Or $45 if you are a diamond pass holder. Once you're inside it is so overcrowded you will not have time to do much unless you pay $55-$70 for a fast pass. Some lines had a 70 minute wait. Then the bathrooms were horrible, I bet Dolly wouldn't use them!! I was only here because I have a 2 park season pass but these kids will not get me back to this water park. Yall can have it. I'll stick to the theme park. read more

The ONLY reason for not 5 stars is the ridiculous price it costs to get in. People say the most value is getting a season pass even if you'll never go again because perks include a free pass and discounted passes. I paid about $365 for 4 people. They do senior pricing and kids but its only $10 less and they tackle 12% tax which is insane. The great part about this place is you can bring food and drinks in. We brought a back pack with bottled water and lots of snacks. They have an entire area (country fair) for kids ride. It literally looks like a fair. For us, this was a one time thing (we are 6 hours away). But it was definitely a site to see. read more

Cute waterpark! It is on the small side although the options were fun. Our favorite was the wave pool. The lazy river needs some features like rip tides or something to make it faster in some spots. Nice water park a few water slides/rides. Lazy river is nice but needs more entrance points and the park needs a better flow to it when you get to the cascades the only way to get to the rest of the park is back track it needs a pathway to connect the loop. Dollywood is such a beautiful park built into the mountains of Pigeon Forge. This park is a must if you are a coaster enthusiast or theme park goer!!!! Make sure you pack you walking shoes and be prepared to walk up and down some hills and steps but it will be worth it! The only complaint is the food pricing and quality. The food pricing is on the higher side of $14 or more and the quality is ok. The real great perk is the souvenir cups have unlimited refills for the season. Dolly Parton is a woman worthy of admiration. She started out singing to her chickens with a tin can microphone, and was married to one man all of her life. The exhibits on her history were nice. I love steam trains, the sound and smell of them, and Lady Klondike did not disappoint. I can't comment on the coasters as I do not ride them any more. I appreciate that chilled waterbis available everywhere. Once you buy a bottle of H2O, you can refill it at any soda station. The food prices we encountered were fair. The orange creamsicle milk shake was only 9 bucks, took some effort to make, and were eye candy with cup swirls, whipped cream, and a cherry. It was a nice crowd, completely free of city types running around cutting lines, , knocking people over, and causing uneasiness on purpose. read more

I'm unsure whether I'd be able to stay a full day at Dollywood due to not caring for the food far offered (Aiken to fair food IMO) but I could certainly spend more than half a day. Avoid at all cost. Spent the day here on 7/1/2026 with my wife and our 2 teenagers and it was absolutely miserable. It was extremely hot -110 heat index- and totally overcrowded to the point it was hard to get around the park. First thing we did was river rush and after a 107 min wait in that heat we were all exhausted and dehydrated. We went to the lazy river after that to cool off and it was so congested there was hardly any open space between the tubes. Lines for everything there were so long we got lunch and sought out a shady spot to avoid the sweltering heat. In total we did 2 slides and 1 lap around the lazy river in 6hrs. Nobody in my family ever wants to come back here again. read more

Attempted to get a Coke at one hut but they were all busy training and didn't even look up! Attempted the next station and the other juvenile cashier had no clue! So I went to yet another station and purchased a cup to fill next door at the soda station. Guess what the machine Wasnt working and neither was the cup! So I go back and get yet another cup and wait yet again! Dollywood was INSANE!! The rides were really good, just don't go on the Lightning Rod unless you want 6 minutes of vomiting. Food was great, especially the corn dogs. A few other rides I don't recommend going on is the Big Bear Mountain, Blazing Fury, Daredevil Falls, and the Drop Line. It's always such a great experience at the beautiful Dollywood! I visited this past Friday on the last day of their 2025 Spring Flower and Food Festival, and had a great experience as always! Dollywood has some of my favorite roller coasters I've ever ridden, my favorites being the Lighting Rod & Wild Eagle. I definitely recommend spending the extra $99 on the Unlimited TimeSaver pass if you can! It's soooooo worth it! They also have super high quality Broadway-caliber entertainment here. I enjoyed From The Heart: The Life and Music of Dolly Parton so much! The food at Dollywood is also excellent, especially for a theme park. I really enjoyed my Kale Street Corn Salad from one of the restaurants in the Wildwood Grove area of the park. I'll definitely be back and can't recommend this park enough! read more

We had such a wonderful visit at Splash Country! We purchased tickets in advance and utilized their military discount. I also purchased our parking pass in advance. I was able to show a QR code for both tickets. We arrived at 9:45 and found parking to be very easy and close. Right by the preferred parking lot. We were in the park very quickly! We brought towels, sunscreen, our son's Eli pen and four unopened water bottles with no issues. We stood in a large crowd waiting for the "park" portion to open so we could find seats in the shade. We had no issues securing chairs for our group. We only "saved" two to ensure others had shaded seats as well. The longest line we stood in for a ride was about 20 minutes. I found everything was run very smoothly! The food ranged from 8-17 bucks for the items our crew wanted. We did rent a small locker to hold our keys, phones and wallets. Really enjoyed it! Glad I went on a Tueday after Labor Day. Easy parking, 5 minute walk to park. Very polite & helpful staff, reasonable prices, unique place, and lots to do. Enjoyed the Dolly Experience and the railroad the most. A real coal engine that actually "choo-chooed!" Great shopping, enjoyed the brisket sub I had. I went alone and had a great time. Highly recommended. Loved the water bottle "policy." Purchased a bottle of water before going in, was allowed to keep it, and able to refill it for free! A lot of surprises too, like the bald eagle sanctuary, the replica of the house here Dolly was raised, the one room schoolhouse and the chapel. We had the best time at Dollywood and can't stop talking about it! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that made us feel so welcome. The entire park is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully blended into the forest and mountains, with colorful flowers, peaceful wooded paths, and lush landscaping everywhere you look. It truly feels like a park set in nature, not just built on top of it. There's something for everyone, thrilling coasters, gentle family rides, charming shows, and so many little surprises throughout the day, and We loved how short the ride lines were, Everyone in our group had an amazing time from start to finish. The food options were great! We loved the warm, soft butterfly shaped pretzels (so cute and so good!), the savory andouille sausage, and the crispy, flavorful pork rinds among others unique treats that really make Dollywood stand out. Of course, the famous cinnamon bread was a must have too! Everything tasted homemade and full of Southern flavor. The shops were full of beautiful, high-quality Southern merchandise, from crafts to home décor and clothing, they felt like little boutiques instead of typical theme park stores. We found some really special souvenirs to take home. Compared to the big Florida parks, Dollywood was not only more relaxed even though crowded, but also much more fairly priced. It felt like such a great value for the experience we had, very clean, friendly, beautiful, and packed with fun. And to top it all off, the fireworks and drone show at the end of the day was spectacular, a heartwarming way to end a perfect visit. We're already planning about going back. Prices are fairly cheap in my opinion for regular day tickets, but they also have upgrades! We ordered the timesaver pass which is lifesaving if you only have 1 day at the park. Our first time at Dollywood and we loved it!!! We wanted to take our 3 year old somewhere different especially for the holidays. When we found out that Dollywood does it big with her Christmas festivities, we knew instantly that we had to plan a trip here. We visited the park for two days and I have to say that this place is huge! The park is filled with various amounts of rides, shows, exhibits, and activities for all ages. What I really like about this park is that they have an area (left side of the main entrance) where you can have your child's height measured. They'll give you a color coded wrist band for their height and a map with the list of rides that they can ride. Then, you simply just show the ride attendant your child's wrist band and then you're on the ride. It's so easy rather than waiting in line the entire time only to be told your child doesn't meet the height requirement for that particular ride. My son loved all the rides he could go on but his favorite one was the rockin' roadway where he was able to sit behind the wheel and drive. He loved the ride so much that we went on it several times. Another big plus is the ability to use the Dollywood app around the park. I loved how you can go on the app and see how long the wait times are for each ride and even find out where the nearest restrooms and restaurants are located. The food here is ok. We got chicken tenders and fries for our son and it was a bit dry and hard. The dipping sauces made up for the dryness. We got the Christmas punch which was delicious and refreshing but the cinnamon knots we were really hard. I agree with everyone that the best thing to get while at Dollywood is her famous cinnamon bread. It was so good. I can see why people wait in line for the cinnamon bread. We bought two cinnamon breads to bring back home with us. We decided on getting the Smoky Mountain Christmas tour as an add on for one of the nights we were visiting the park. The tour includes having a guide show us around the park, getting reserved seating on the Dollywood Express, and enjoying hot cocoa and warm cinnamon bread all while walking through all of the beautiful Christmas lights on display. Definitely worth every penny! One of the hotel guests told us the wait time for Dollywood express the night we went was about 1.5 hrs and they were all packed in like sardines. By having the guide with us, we boarded the train comfortably on the reserved cart and did not have to squeeze in like the others did. The train ride was fun while going through the park listening to Dolly's Christmas songs and other Christmas favorites and watching all the lights on display. After our train ride, we walked around the park while getting fun facts about Dollywood. My son's favorite part of the tour was seeing snow at the tree with butterflies. He had so much fun running around with the other kids and chasing after the falling snow. It was so cute. Overall, we had a great time at Dollywood. My husband and I agreed that we have to come back but when our son is older so he can enjoy the rollercoasters. We also want to go during the time the water park is open too. We will be back again! Such a good time! The friends I went with are not ride people so we mostly wandered, ate and saw shows. It's a very low key park, less staff than other big theme parks but all so nice. We got there early to sign up our group for glass blowing but it's very limited. Despite all of us being there only two of us could do it to allow other groups to participate. There are maybe twenty spots? If you aren't there first thing on a busy day, you may not get a spot. The food is meh, but cheap by California standards. read more

We took the family to Dollywood for a day out to Dollywood. The weather was excellent with cool temperatures in the morning and a slow warm up in the afternoon. I recommend getting there 1 hour before opening and drive to the far right to pay for parking. Taking the tram was easy and fun. The six of us explored Dollywood and had some food. We rode the train which was fun but had over half hour wait to board. I thought the repetition of rules before and during boarding was excessive. While on the ride I had ash scattered on my body. If you have sun glasses wear them. Train seats were very narrow and uncomfortable. We saw a group of Eagles held in the sanctuary. Family enjoyed the Dollywood experience which tells about her childhood and rise to stardom. The wait and viewing of Dolly's tour bus was not worth it. I highly recommend bringing a backpack with empty water bottles to fill up for free at any restaurant. The flatbread pizza at one location was alright but not satisfying. I did enjoy the ice cream at the sweet shoppe. Lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes. Overall the experience was good but would like to see more things for individuals who don't go on rides. Two family members had to wait in line for 1 hour and 15 minutes to get on a roller coaster ride for it to last roughly 3 minutes long. Not worth the wait. I would recommend Dollywood add more signage as it was difficult in some areas to find things. I would suggest visitors go during midweek during the school year for less crowds. read more

Hands down, this is the best overall amusement park that I've been to. It's clean, well planned out, fun for people of all ages and SO much more. The cost to get in, the food prices and even the gift store items were all reasonable (considering the prices at most other amusement parks). Several of the roller coasters are fantastic (although a few of the rides are a little shorter than I would expect). All of the park employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of my favorite aspects of the park is the views around the park. The mountains, the trees and all the surroundings were beautiful. I would drive a long distance to return. I had been joking recently with my friends that I was going to go to Dollywood. Just a flat out joke, then I find myself nearby and made it a point to follow through on the joke. I just never expected it to be a spur of the moment decision. The night before, after settling into the hotel, I went online to see how much it would all cost me. I will say, if you want to have a decent day, it is not going to be cheap, but it is cheaper than other amusement parks. Or maybe it isn't, I don't know. I did purchase my ticket online the night before, I also purchased parking online as well. It came out to a hefty amount, but I kind of expected it. Getting through the entry gates for parking can be a bit cumbersome, so prepare yourself some time to wait, your first line of the day. If you picked the VIP parking, which I did, you are away from the crowds and a closer to an entrance. One where you won't need to use a tram to get to the entrance. Once inside, make your way however you see fit. I downloaded the park app so that I had a map already. I also used it to check the wait times for the rides that I wanted to go on. I will be honest here, all I rode while here was the rollercoasters and the app really helped out on that. I must have walked miles this day because I zig zagged through the park to jump from line to line. Do be careful on the walkways, with the misters they can be a bit slippery, I slipped once and kept that in mind for the rest of the day. As an overall experience, this was a great park. Rides, shows, exhibits, shops, and restaurants. All doable in one day. Pricing for food, drink, and souvenirs are what you would expect for an amusement park. Bathrooms throughout. Themed areas. Designated smoking areas in the park so you don't have to exit. Gift shops a chalk full of items. Staff in the park are pleasant and courteous. read more

After visiting Dollywood I now know why it's voted the #1 theme park!! Awesome ride selection and all of the roller coasters are fun! The food was amazing! Staff was super nice! I also thought that it was awesome that they had people set up throughout the park to help you with any questions you have about the park and where things are! The decor for fall is super cute!!!! Only complaint I have is with the train ride. It's kind of boring and you get soot all over you. But that would be my only complaint.! I highly recommend this park to everyone! We took our 5-yr-old granddaughter today for the first time and we all had so much fun. We were impressed by the kindness of the employees, the cleanliness of the park, and the amount of rides that were age-appropriate for one that isn't into thrill or high adventure rides. Getting her picture taken with Flutter the Fairy was extra special. I loved the walkway with all the umbrellas. We got our pictures taken there but sadly we forgot to pick them up. My husband enjoyed one of the roller coasters. We enjoyed tasting some of the special foods that were part of the Flower and Food Festival. Highly recommend! read more

Many of you may have read, or seen on the news, the flooding that occurred in Dollywood about a week ago. Well they are open and in fine shape with no indication, at least not to visitors, that any storm rolled through the park. We went yesterday on a warm summer day and the park was beautiful. We wandered around enjoying the shows, the train, the smells and the food. We ate at The Front Porch Cafe (Dollywood) and the meal was delicious. I got the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Both were superb, with unique flavor, and the mashed potatoes were the best I have ever eaten. The service was excellent and it gave us a respite from the heat of the day. Enjoy the rides, walk through and talk with the people, take in the smells of food, flowers, and the mountain air; Dollywood has something for everyone. Dollywood is beautiful and full of country charm. The food options were pretty good, and very geared to southern dishes, and there were vegetarian options too. It's a dry park, so a bit of a let down if you want a beer or cocktail, although for many this is a plus and I get that. During the day multiple adults were smoking, so while you can't get a beer you can get secondhand smoke here... seems like a dated policy but not a huge deal as it wasn't rampant. It also has great people watching and some fun characters doing meet and greets. Some of the rides need some upkeep ( log ride, river ride, old fire roller coaster) but they have clearly invested in the roller coaster's, which my family loved. We went during harvest fest and the decorations were great, especially once the sun went down and we could see all the lights. I think the park may need to look at their fast pass/premium rider process (ratios used to calculate flow rates and line times), as it resulted in many more premium riders than the normal line and the line times didn't seem accurate on the app. We are fans of fast pass but opted out since it was a Wednesday, and it was only a couple rides that seemed wildly off in terms of wait time (big newer coasters). The park did not seem overly crowded and we were able to do the things we wanted, and it was clean. read more

The day I went most of the shows were not being done , and I love riding rides but disappointed in the rides themselves. A lot of kids running wild and cutting in front of people that was waiting and none of the employees saying or doing anything about it My friend and I thought about upgrading to a season pass , but changed our minds when we got three different answers on what the price would be to upgrade . Truly a 5 star experience! This is our second time at a Dollywood park and we loved it! We spent two days at the water park and had a blast! The whole place is family and kid friendly! The only issue we had was there are no accessible rides for anyone. My son is really too small for the rides anyway, but it won't be something we can do in the future. Chaperoned a youth event on a Tuesday. Got there early. early 90s music DJed all day which was a pleasant surprise if you happen to be Gen-X like me, probably less so if you are any other age and hoping for some country, Rides were pretty tame compared to Dollywood, lines were very long. The water coaster was the only ride maybe worth the line to me. I think paying the extra money for fast pass would have been substantially different experience. Think when I go back to Dolly world I'll buy the package which includes fast pass , I think it was $15 more per ticket and we waited an hour at some rides while watching several groups of people hop on three times on and write off Food was over priced and underwhelming as would be expected. Mediterranean restaurant gyros with steak um meat for 16 bucks, frozen chicken fingers, space ice cream, and a frozen pretzel All in all, this isn't Typhoon Lagoon and it definitely is not action park which I was lucky enough to go to in the 90s read more
