Then he left a cut out hole in the cabinet above the microwave because he had originally installed them to far to one side and had to be removed and reinstalled and then we still have the cord to the microwave rolled up in the cabinet so you can really only use one side of it. One of the drawers completely came off the track because improper screws were used, and the tile work they performed is not high quality. The paint job was done by non qualified subcontractors. We actually had to hire another painting company to completely redo their work because the quality was so bad. The entire project took far longer than promised. Workers constantly showed up late, worked only a couple of hours, and then left. The only thing this company stayed consistent with was asking for money. Alex, the owner, was extremely disrespectful, dishonest, and very difficult to deal with throughout the entire process. Communication was awful, promises were not kept, and the quality of work does not match the amount of money paid. Now I'm left having to redo work that should have been done correctly the first time. They completely transformed the flow of our entire house by adding a large central island as a gathering place, work space and storage area. They suggested wall ovens to save space as well as adding a bar to use for mixing drinks and serving adjacent to the island. It is so stylish and we have had so many compliments on the design, material and style we were guided to. They had many choices of cabinets at many different price points, styles and colors, and we were shown and directed to what would look best and provide the greatest value. They take your money and disappear. One guy wouldn't put anything in writing. He didn't even have a business card. Another "company" gave me a low quote but didn't want to get building permits. He asked me to be vague about the project with my condo management. All red flags. A neighbor suggested Allied. They did great work for him and kept the mess to a minimum by protecting his carpet and hardwood floors. I met with Lewis, a designer at Allied and we discussed options for my bathroom. I had a strict budget and I found Lewis willing to work within it. He came up with great ideas. Allied does things the right way. Designer drawings are done. An architect creates blueprints that breeze through the city permitting process. In a few weeks the project began. Trevor did a wonderful job installing a Schluter Shower System, a product that guarantees no leaks for life! Mark and Angelo were fantastic at setting the fixtures and rough carpentry and keeping dust to a minimum. Adam was my project manager who was available by cell if I had ANY concerns. Chris and Liz were awesome at helping me select tiles and finishes. Everybody was helpful and professional!! I never enjoyed a construction project so much. I found Allied to be top notch.
