This was such a fun experience. I bought the dolphins royal swim plus package. It included a camel ride & feeding. The dolphins of course, & a meet & greet w/ a sea lion. The dolphins portion was the best!! So worth it!! I could finally check that off my bucket list now. The dolphins were so well trained & overjoyed!! Simba, & esp Cleopatra were so happy!! Not only that, but a fun & exciting boat ride w/ a lunch provided depending on the time you choose to do your activity. It could also be a late snack instead. Overall one of the best experiences of my life. This made my bday vaca. Don't hesitate, do it!! You'll love it.

Had a great time here while on a girl's trip to Mexico (we decided on the dolphin encounter). As an animal lover, I truly felt in my element being amongst the dolphins and sea lions. You get the opportunity to interact with the animals under the supervision of their trainers. The trainers are very knowledgeable about the animals they work with and are more than happy to share that bit of knowledge. Staff members take pictures of your interactions and at the end you have the option of purchasing those pictures. The prices are a bit expensive though. Overall, the experience was pleasant. My next goal is to actually swim with the dolphins.

Had a great time with the kids. Trainers were fun. The sea lions made everyone laugh. The photos are extremely expensive although remember this is a very tourism based area. This is how they make their money and is just part of the vacation experience. Was a great experience from beggining to end, the transport was great and we did buy the photos. I'm glad we did because now we have these memories to hold onto not just in our head.

Scam. Don't give them your money. I paid for a swim and ride package, but they schedule the "ride" part of it so that you have to wait two hours if you do the ride for the next shuttle back to the hotel. The lunch which I also paid for didn't happen, so my swim and ride turned into a swim. A good dolphin experience ruined by poor management and customer service.

This was in my bucket list and eventhough I don't know how to swim I wanted to experience this!!! So what if we spent 200 with good and adventure ride plus 150 for cd,pic mug, plus pic with a camel named lady Gaga!!! We enjoy and will forever have memories, I highly recommend this one better then Cabo Adventure when it comes to dolphin swim, why Because the Dolphins are in open water not confined in a pool that does round and round !!! Our dolphin name was Clayeo and she is a beautiful dolphin very smart, our instructor named is Francisco and he is great instructor !!! I didn't want to leave but we had too !!!!
It is 5 stars in my book! We got the special for $140 Dolphin swim and ride for 2 people and includes transportation from our hotel we are staying. When we arrived there the tour guide who spoke excellent English gave orientation, then we put on life jacket and head out into the dolphin habitat. There are two Dolphins Maya and Poseidon whom we interacted with. There were 6 others joined us. The water was very cold. The Dolphins did their jumps, and cute tricks and got kisses from them. Then we swam a little distance where we held out our left hand and tapped twice on the water and the dolphin came toward me and I grabbed on both of the fins and glided on its belly. The second one I had boogie board and the dolphin came and you don't see them as they are under the water as they swam and suddenly I felt it's nose pushed on my left foot the whole time as I glided through the water. It was exhilarating. There are also other options like encounter with dolphin, all inclusive and royal swim plus. The photo costs $150 and you get a CD with about 75 pictures and 3 printouts of your choice. The camera they used were great as the pictures came out beautiful. read more

I'm writing review for Dolphin Discovery (San Jose del Cabo) same company with San Lucas I suppose. Like everyone says here, it's a ripped off experience. They do not allow anyone to bring in the phone or camera, "it will affect the dolphins" they said. We paid $166 for Dolphin Encounter tickets for 2 adults, then when we came out of the shower they wanted to charge us $150 for pictures of 2 personas. One single picture for one person is $47, but if I only want to pick a good picture of us they charge $100. Hm it didn't make any sense. One single print cost $100 dollars made the whole experience suck. Both of us were very upset and agreed we will not enter the Dolphin Discovery again read more

Amazing!!! My family and I had a great time here. The dolphin trainer, Kathy, was very nice and knowledgeable. The dolphins are all so cute and friendly! I recommend this facility because it is in a more natural environment for the dolphins. There are 7 dolphins. We got to kiss and dance with Adrianna and she has a baby that we also got to see. We did a fin ride and double toe push. I was a it nervous to do it, but it was fun and easy. I read in previous reviews that the water was cold and dirty, but I didn't find that to be true. I recommend going early in the morning because there are less people and I recommend the royal swim. We got to ride on a camel, kayak with dolphins, ride on a speed boat and had a buffet lunch. The experience was expensive (and the pictures are extra) but it was worth it. Thank you dolphin discovery! read more

Bad review solely because of their AWFUL price gouging tactics for your photos. They charge you $50 for them to simply email you 1 photo or anywhere (depending on who you talk to) between $100-$150 to just email you all the photos. Keep in mind people already paid $100-$150 PER PERSON to swim with the dolphins. They do NOT allow you to bring a camera or GoPro or anything. They are the only ones allowed to take photos and then they essentially hold them hostage and make you pay $150 for a simple email. So unethical. I'll never go back here. I'll spend my money at other attractions and excursions in Cabo. read more

My husband and I took our 7 year old son to the Dolphin Discovery and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Cabo. Gabriel was an awesome trainer and very knowledgeable. What an amazing experience! I have read other reviews and all excursions charge a lot for the pictures so honestly the price is in line for what you recurve. read more

Experience was amazing with dolphin however the pictures were over priced. They allow you to take someone to take pictures but they are so far away that they can't take pictures. Once you complete your experience, they want to charge you packages to purchase the video and pictures. They refuse to sell you the pictures individually. I had an amazing dolphin experience but because I could afford to pay $150 to purchase package, it ruined my experience. They are unfair and don't care about the customer experience. They should give option to purchase individual pictures. read more

I just went to this place yesterday with my family . It's a great experience with dolphins but completely RIP OFF if you don't know how to negotiate for photo purchase. They don't have a set price list. At the beginning, the price list on the screen show $45 per photo (1 person in photo w/ dolphin), $100 per photo (all family in photo w/ dolphin), $200 for all photos (about 15) in a DVD only. After the discussion, we decide to just get 1 photo for $45. Then the sales Rep. starting give us different options, she give us $100 for 2 photos (1 individual+ 1 family) but when we seems like not interest and start to leave, she she stop us again and offer $100 including all 15 photos in DVD. Well! think about it, if people don't know this photo price is negotiable, it's going to be a rip off. read more

Well they try to scam you on photos at the end for $300 after paying $300 for 3 people to swim. We arranged transportation through them to and from the hotel. Basically they would not give us a ride back to the hotel until you haggle with them over the photos. Complaining to the hotel about this company and the experience. Save your time and money! read more

Terrible experience. First off... it takes place in a marina. You are expected to get into that grungy water. The floor is so slippery from moss. They don't let you take your sunglasses, even though there's a place to put them while swimming with the dolphins. They make you take out your earrings, belly rings, necklaces etc. they don't let you bring your phones... for this reason. The photos they take come at the price of $150 per person for a CD!!!! I'm not kidding. After paying close to $200 per person they want to charge you an additional $150 per person for the photos. This is insane. Don't come here!!! Do the dolphin swimming in Los Cabo's in a legit pool. Not some nasty marina!!! read more

Well to start off, Staff was amazing! Dolphins look healthy which is a plus. The only reason I rate this a 3 star is simply because of the pricing and the interaction time we actually had with the dolphins. We payed nearly 200 USD a person to take a 8 second stroll with the dolphin around the pool and a kiss from the dolphin. You're put in a large group so everyone gets their chance with the dolphin, so you wait around till it's your turn again. Then once it's over they let you look at the pictures and video (which I was really looking forward to) but once they showed us the pricing, you were looking at Minimum 100 USD for a few pictures. If you want the video of you swimming with the dolphin, well that's gonna be around 300 USD. Overall I loved the experience and I definitely wanna do it again, but won't be doing it here again. read more

Pros: The dolphins are amazing and the facility is very nice. Only a $5 deposit for a locker. Cons: This place is all about the pictures and not about the interaction with the dolphins. Abd they try to sell you th pictures for $57 a person on top on the $149 it is to "swim" with the dolphins. (NOTE: you can negotiate the price of the pictures. Immediately ask for the manager after they quote you the outrageous. We were able to negotiate our group of 9 to $33/person (about 40 photos of each person). I was very upset with the fact that our trainer seemed very rushed through our whole encounter with the dolphins. She also seemed not interested and kept calling us by not our real name. Ugh. The customer service here is the worst. All they care about is making sure the photographer got a good picture of you. Overall, it was nice to be able to interact with the dolphins but I don't think I would visit this facility again. I'm sure there's better, more educational programs in Cabo. read more

My new husband and I were so excited to swim with dolphins while on our honeymoon! We thought we got a great deal when we signed up with a person at the airport when we arrived. Pros: the trainers and dolphins are incredible! We had the best experience with Francisco! We did the swim and ride package and were not disappointed. Cons: they do not put this info anywhere until 5 minutes before you go in the water, but they do not allow you to where any jewelry at all, no sunscreen unless it's "green" or eco-friendly, and absolutely no devices like phones/go-pro/camcorders so that you are forced to purchase their photography packages. The jewelry rule makes perfect sense to keep the dolphins safe! No arguments there! But you end up holding everyone up when you hand to run back to the lockers to leave all jewelry behind and no one really feels safe leaving their expensive jewelry there! And then these photo packages....what a scam! For one person, it costs $75 for a cd of pictures (about 15 images)...2 people costs $140!!! And it just goes up from there. God forbid you have more than one child. So, of course, you say no and walk away. They send employees to come haggle with you, one at a time to try to beat you into submission and don't give up. My husband and I were so put off by these actions and no picture rules, we declined to stay for the buffet lunch (just a cafeteria with pre-made chicken nuggets and burgers) and small 10 minute boat ride. 1 star for the awesome dolphins. 1 star for the trainers who take their job very seriously and love what they do. read more

Please be advised: do not pay the price for the adventure directly at the location, you can do better by bartering with someone upon arrival at the airport by spending a couple of hours for a timeshare presentation. Let me start by saying that I went there a week ago, and for my group, (8 people) we paid $ 50.00 (yes, for all of us), and we got the adventure package (8 tricks with 1 dolphin, speed boat ride and buffet)... Let me say that they added another family of 4 to our large group, so it took over an hour, the employees there are really nice and polite.. the dolphins too.. especially our Poseidon.. Why then the 1 star?????????? because of the RIP OFF... they do not make you bring your camera, which is fine, and because for most of us might be the only experience, we would want to buy some pictures.. WRONG... not all of us can afford the OFFENSIVE price they give you.. Even after bartering hard, well, our experience? for my family of 4 the price asked for the family pic with Poseidon was $ 150.00 .. how come???? they charge $ 45.00 per person in the picture.. Yes, you are understanding perfectly.. if you have 5 children, the price will be $ 315.00.. ahahahah.. this is absolutely absurd.. but true... and it is not even printed, and given to you with a cute paper frame like they would do at SeaWorld, but it will be a digital copy.. so then you will have to pay for printing it, and occur more expenses.. and wait for the best, this money will not stay in Mexico, but they belong to an American Corporation... if you want to stop this ridiculous situation, stop buying pictures, and request a legit way of making prices.. in America, if you go to Disneyland, and take a picture with Frozen, you do not pay per person in the picture, but for the picture itself, not matter how many people in it... read more

This place is terrible, STAY AWAY! 0 STARS HERE. Filthy water, so filthy that my 3 year old refused to go into the water because it was "dirty daddy", small marina pools that must be a horrible habitat for the poor dolphins. Greedy owners and employees, it is disgusting. We paid for the $245.00 per person "ROYAL SWIM", it was supposed to be an hour of dolphin interactions but was really a 1/2 hour photo shoot with guest appearances of dolphins for pictures. Staff was rude and gave the impression of let's get this over with. The 10 seconds of the actual dolphin swim was good, thanks to the dolphins. After the mediocre "Royal Swim" we were directed into the gift shop, of course, why not? There I was approached by "Guillermo" who bluntly told me digital copies of the pictures were $35.00 each per person or $54.00 for all pictures of 1 person, yes one person! So for the family of 3 it was $162.00 USD plus $16.00 for a USB Stick, that's $178.00 USD for about 50 pictures, mostly frame by frame quick shots of the same thing, I quickly questioned the price as I was dumbfounded by the high cost only to be rudely shot down by Guillermo who said "These are Family Memories, you can't complain about the price" which really caught me by surprise, so I responded by saying "Disney isn't this expensive, how can you honestly charge so much here", he replied "They don't have dolphin pictures there", I said as far as I'm concerned I paid $245 per person for the dolphin Royal Swim, these pictures are just pictures, at this point, in Spanish he tells his Supervisor or coworker Sergio "we have a problem here", now I speak Spanish so I quickly went into defensive mode as Sergio approached me and warned him not to touch me or he would have a problem, he quickly backed off and said please leave the store there are other customers here who may want to pay for their memories. Now anyone who knows me knows I am far from cheap and will pay top dollar for great service, but this was just a tourist trap ripoff with employees who are rude and obnoxious, I asked for my transportation back, he said I had to wait until 1:30pm, it was now 12:15pm, do I really have to wait an hour and 15 minutes for a ride back to my hotel? I'm with a toddler and a 12 year old, Sergio responded "If you don't like it you can pay for a Taxi, so that's just what I did, at first the taxi tried to charge us $60.00 but this wasn't my first time in Cabo so I knew the ride back to the RIU Palace was only $35.00 for up to 4 people. I gave in and paid $45 USD for the sake of leaving there before things got ugly because I am not going to keep quiet for what's right. As a multi business owner myself, I'm hoping that the owner reads this review and understands that if you charge, let's say $60.00 total then more people would be willing to purchase without a problem. Why attempt to rip people off in the first place? At this point I will make sure that I post this review in every possible place. Thanks for nothing Dolphin Discovery. read more

Another dolphin place trying to rip you off! Bought the pictures ahead of time so there where no surprises but they tried to charge extra for infant pictures. Unless you want to shell out around $600 for a family of 4 with pictures and play games with management I don't recommend. read more

Israel was our guide/trainer and Eleazar was our photographer. They were both helpful answering questions about the animals and their treatment, and made the experience a learning one as well as fun. I really enjoyed the time with the dolphins and am so glad they are treated well. :) Yes, the pictures are expensive. However, If you bring someone with you who is not participating, they can take all kinds of pictures with phones and cameras right next to the water. I would have like to have known that in advance! The CD for one person with the "family" picture was $110... I'm sure she would have gone lower but I got sick of the bartering. From their screen the pictures didn't look great; I'm hoping from my own computer they'll be better. Or I'll photoshop them until they are. We were told ahead of time about the jewelry, hats, sunscreen, etc. and felt fine leaving our purses in the locker since its key was in our possession. Overall, a dream experienced and nice people to boot... and the dolphins were as sweet and playful and flubby as I expected! read more

Had a great experience for it to be the first experience for our kids. We had a lovely photographer and our dolphin person Noemi was great we had a great time with Bella and America the Dolphins. Would truly recommend it. The pictures are super expensive not much able to haggle the $250 price that was the only down fall we did get a total of 100+ pics. read more

The time with the Dolphins was fun, but I really only say that because we got this at such a deal. First, it's partially cool that you're in Ocean water with the Dolphins, until you realize it's pretty dingy marina water. They start by selling you on a photo package..... For $350. But hey if that's too rich for your blood you can order individual pictures.... For $40 a piece. The Dolphins looked extremely healthy and staff was nice, those are the redeeming factors. I'd submit a picture of my experience.... But, well, we couldn't afford them. If you spent the full $130 for your 30 minutes you may not end up too pleased unless you drop the rest of your cash on some pictures. read more

Ok I am going to give this Five Stars but with a caveat. and if you have read other reviews of this place im sure you have read the same thing. I paid $ 189.00 dollars for the Royal Swim that included 40 minutes in the water with two dolphins ( I think we even got more time then that) free roundtrip van from downtown Cabo , lunch ( nothing great hot dogs and fish sticks but held you over till diner, a camel ride that was fun for the kids, and a boat ride in the ocean that was awesome. I found the items in the gift shop do be reasonably priced and the staff helpful and friendly. The Dolphin Trainers were great and everyone in the group gets one on one play with the Dolphins. The Royal Swim comes with something called the foot push this is awesome I would recommend spending the extra money for the Royal swim as I don't think the other packages come with the Foot Push. What is the Foot Push? you lay face down in the water with your legs spread and two dolphins come up behind you and their noses in the arches of your feet and push you, you will get air born and standing fully out of the water ridding on the two dolphins this was incredible. Great experience with a lot of fun and laughs. Ok now for the pictures. They don't allow you to take your phone or camera down to the water so taken your on photos will not happen, they want to charge you 860 pesos about $ 90 USD for the photo CD or for a single photo $ 48.00 USD , I as others in my group thought this to be way over priced , I realize that this is a business and they need to turn a profit pay for staff and take care of this beautiful animals but after spending a large sum of money and then get hit with this on the price of the photos was a bit much. If some one from Dolphin Discovery is reading this I hope you will consider making the price of the photos more reasonable, we had 13 people in our group and no one bought the photos. Now one person did tell me they got a deal on the Dolphin Package that included the pictures so maybe that is an option. but other then that I found this to be a first rate place and a great excursion for your vacation. read more

The experience was ok. I was expecting cleaner water and more time with the dolphin. They put about 10 or more people together in a group. For the money I just didn't think it was worth it. And then to get your pictures at the end... watch out! They will rape you.. it's about 40 for one printed distorted non color corrected pile of shit photo and if you want a cd well hahaha that's anywhere from 150-300 usd. Depending on how many people are in your group. Maybe they just hate the US.. because the couple next to us who was obviously Mexican got their disk for practically nothing. read more
There's a few different dolphin encounters available. I went to the one in Cabo San Jose because it's the only one offering the foot push experience. I bought my ticket online but I would recommend researching a lot and maybe even buying in town, but never pay full price because they're always offering discounts. You can choose from three different experiences and I selected the encounter with memories. This was super. The shuttle will pick you up from your hotel, as well as a few other people. I had a wonderful driver called Diego. After an hour we arrive at the location on the marina, given the explanation, put our things in a locker and head off to begin. I'm not entirely sure why, but we visit the camels and get taken for a camel ride. Then we head down to the water. Our group has a maximum of 12 people and each person gets to experience dolphin hug, kiss, dorsal tow and foot push. It is so cool for the dolphins to push you in the air. The dolphins are super friendly, they seem to be enjoying the interactions and the trainer was wonderful. At the end they give you a towel to use and show you your photo. I pre purchased the photo and CD which is recommended because photos sounded extremely expensive. It is certainly a worthwhile experience. read more

They were running a special which got us the dolphin swim & ride (included a belly ride and a push on a boogie board) for $180 for 2 adults and a child. It included r/t transportation. Compared with what we spent with Cabo Adventures for only a "dolphin experience" I thought it was a pretty good deal. I'll agree with everyone that the pictures were very expensive but so was Cabo Adventures. We ended up paying for the disk and they gave us all the pictures taken. Expensive yes but we knew that going in. Tip - if cost is a concern then try to get this experience for free if you are willing to put yourself through timeshare presentations. That will free up the cash to pay for the pictures which can cost more than the experience itself! read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Do not go here. They are not honest or ethical. They will tell you one thing and then when you go to pay it all changes. They should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers. If they continue their practices they won't stay in business. If they weren't across the street from our hotel we would have never gone there. They tried to play off their scheming as a lack of english, but it was really just a lack of ethics. First off, the excursion itself was great. This review is for the service afterwards. Went to dolphin discovery in playa deal Carmen of Wednesday, 22 June. After the excursion, when you go to look at the photos, is when they tell you it will be $45 for one photo of one person, or $80 each for access to all photos. So $160 for the photos of my husband and myself. I didn't bring that much money with me, because why the hell would I think photos would cost more than $100? However , I wanted access to the photos because they didn't let us take any of our own. We were told that we could purchase the photos and leave money at the front desk of our resort and they would come pick up the money and leave our cd on Thursday 23 June at 8:00. They wrote us up a receipt, and we immediately left the money upon our return to the hotel that day. The money was not picked up Thursday, nor was it picked up Friday. By Friday I was worried, we were leaving Saturday (which they knew and noted on our receipt). We tried to contact them via the phone number on the website, but twice it rang and led nowhere. I sent two emails, one to photomemories@dolphindiscovery.com and one to their comments section on their webpage. I did not hear back. I sent another email Saturday morning. I waited to collect my money until Saturday right before we left the resort. I sent another email Saturday night when I arrived home, saying I was now home and asking them what they could do to fix the problem. I have not heard back. Now I am home without my photos and with a shit load of pesos that I took out at an ATM specifically to purchase these photos. I AM PISSED. read more

We had a fantastic experience! Everyone was friendly and professional. We bought the Dolphin Swim Royale online at a discount. The staff was waiting for us at the pickup spot, the vans were in decent shape, and the drive was somewhat scenic. We had plenty of time to interact with the animals. The photo package was $230 for a download of all the photos of our family of four, almost 300 photos. Other reviews said you could haggle, but I thought we'd gotten a great value overall (way cheaper than booking through the cruise ship for sure). We met at 9:30 and were back at the port by 2 pm, enough time to find another short activity in town. read more

Scam artists! I drove all the way here from downtown Cabo so my wife and my mother could swim with the dolphins. Cabo has a park u can swim with the dolphins at but I wanted to make the drive to Dolphin Discovery in San Jose because I read that they were recognized for good treatment of the dolphins. We spoke with Julio who went over the prices with us and told us there was a buy one get one free special for swimming with the dolphins. There were 3 of us and he also told us that if we buy 2 the 3rd can go free (this was kind of a no brainer to figure out as I luckily am smart enough to realize that a 2 for 1 equates to 2 times 2 for 1 aka... 4 for 2, So we should easily get a 3 for 2 which would be in the houses favor, not having a 4th person to take advantage of the 2nd free ticket.) (Please correct me if my logic isn't sound). Anyways I explained that I had no interest in going and just wanted my mother and wife to go. I told him I wanted the premier package that included 2 dolphins. Julio said no problem and we went inside to ring it up. After typing on the computer for a while he handed me 3 wrist bands.... I told him again that I am not interested in swimming with the dolphins, only watching, and thus I simply wanted a 2 for 1 for my wife and mother. Julio had his sites set on 2 sales and explained to me that he now can only do a 3 for 2. I assured him that he just told me we could do a 2 for 1 where we get 2 tickets for the price of 1. He replief "no sir u have to purchase 2 tickets and the 3rd is free.. that way u can all go". Anyways we ended up leaving. Wife swam with the dolphins back in Cabo San Lucas today and loved it. They gave us the 2 for one no problems. Thanks for wasting our time Julio. On a positive note, having drove to San Jose Del Cabo and now not having anything to de we found an awesome restaurant for lunch. Tropicana! Try the whole red fish! read more

Absolute RIP OFF. I'll start off by saying there are much better places to go in Cabo to swim with dolphins. Steer away from this place. We paid $149 each for a "swim and ride" Adventure. It was supposed to include the dolphin interaction, a speed boat ride, a buffet lunch and open bar. The only plus was the dolphin experience, it was decent although the trainer didn't know anything about dolphins and didn't even know they were called "bottlenose" dolphins. After the dolphin interaction we had to wait about 40 minutes for the speed boat to depart, which then was only a 15 minute ride in and out of the marina, keep in mind it takes 5 minutes to get from the dock to the actual open water, so you get about 5 minutes of fun fast boat riding. Then we went to the buffet lunch which was barely decent, food wasn't great but it was fine, the catch is that "open bar" means water, lemonade, and soda. Alcohol is not included which means you gotta pay for that too! You cannot bring any electronics or cameras into the dolphin area so for pictures with dolphins you have to pay for the professional pictures they take. This is where the rip off really comes in. They want $50 per photo of an individual, for a picture of more then one person, (family photo) it is a whopping $100! That's US dollars! And it's $150 for a disk of all your photos. Keep all this in mind and be sure to check for other dolphin options in Cabo. There are better ones for sure. read more

My girls enjoyed their Dolphin Discovery experience but the company overcharged my credit card and never refunded after multiple discussions with the manager and emails. They also tried to charge an obscene amount of money for my daughters' photos (as many customers can attest to). Everything about the organization is shady and unethical. More importantly, it really opened my eyes to the morality of keeping dolphins in captivity. It is not right. These very intelligent creatures are very social, living in complicated social groups, called pods, in the wild. They communicate by echolocation which simply does not translate in a concrete/glass tank. The very famous Ric O Barry, who used to train Seaquarium dolphins (the famous Flipper) has been a prominent activist since 1970 after seeing many of them suffer from depression. Watch his documentary "The Cove" or read his book "Behind the Dolphin Smile." Think twice before you support businesses like this one. read more

I found the photographer more interested in talking to the trainer then paying attention to the people who came to explore the once in a life time experience/adventure. When they say "swim with dolphins" it means, you can only touch them. I will NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

I would not recommend this place. It is a rip off. The only reason I don't give it one star is because the actual experience with the dolphins was pretty cool. Beware... they don't tell you until you get there that the photos are $100.00 a piece!!! A total rip off. Also we paid full price for four children, but when we got there, one of them did not meet the height requirements and could not do all of the dolphin activities. They mention nothing about this at booking. We tried to buy one photo with our friends so at least we would have something, but they got that wrong and brought the wrong photo and our bus was leaving. So, we left empty handed. Also they don't put you in a pool with the dolphins...it is in the ocean and it is freezing!!! read more

These people stole from me! I booked a whale watching tour for my family. I called prior confirming I could bring my 1 year old, they said I could. We traveled to the marina, waited in line only to be turned away because of my child's age. I was assured I would receive a refund. I waited for the refund to appear on my bank statement, it never did. When I followed up with them they refused to refund my money. Not only did they waste our time and a vacation day's activities but they stole from me! read more

I have written a YELP review twice, 5 star review years ago. My intention in writing this review is to allow others to be aware of the photo price practices of Dolphin Discovery. I had the pleasure to experience the dolphins in Cancun with this same company three years ago. Pricing of photos was inline with other amusement parks, such as Disneyland, $150 for the disc. This year in Cancun, we booked a family of 7 for the Royal Swim. The photo option for all images....$500. When we chose not to purchase the photos we were punished. The transportation to our resort was waiting for our party and another group inside the store selecting their photos for purchase. An employee came out and instructed the driver to leave. After 30 minutes another van was available for our return. There are other companies available for Dolphin encounters, Dolphin Discovery has a relationship with resorts that sell timeshares or vacation ownership opportunities. No one likes to feel taken advantage of, especially on vacation! read more

No,Not Recommended at all. Terrible experience. Not for Kids at all. Pls don't visit this place. You are expected to get into that grungy water. The floor is so slippery from moss. They don't let you take your sunglasses, even though there's a place to put them while swimming with the dolphins. read more

The swim adventure was definitely awesome, but be prepared to pay big time for photos (crazy overpriced $100 per family photo). No cameras or devices allowed, so you can't take your own. read more

I have to say, the experience was incredible, something I had on my bucket list for my entire life, we are a family of 4 and had an amazing time, the "one star" is for the pricing of the pictures...after the whole thing was over we went in the shop to look at our pictures, we were so excited, we couldn't wait to get them! After learning that for a family of 4, the pictures would cost us over 600 dollars, we decided not to get them, is was outrageous and out of control, there was nothing anyone can do to change that....at the end we heard one picture would cost us about $45, we go to the guy and said ok, we want to get only the one with the whole family and the dolphin in our arms, guess what....that picture (because we're a family of 4) would cost us $150!!!!!! For ONE (did I mention 1????!!!!) Darn PHOTO!!!!! And to make it better, they don't even give you a nice printed album with all the pictures or such, they give you digital photos, on a CD and they want all that money! We were not about to pay that price, not for the single picture, let alone the whole package, we were horrified and felt ripped off by this company. I have nothing bad to say about the people that work there, some of them do more than they should and probably don't even get paid enough!!! read more

Catalog calls this location Swim With Dolphins. Whole family (5 of us) loved the excursion. That's probably what makes the pricing feel like a punch in the stomach!!. $45 per pic (may add to cost if it is a group shot). Otherwise it is $70 per person for pics. I had a three year old that didn't get counted but that still added another $280 to the cost overall for my family. So overall it costs $200/child and $220/adult if you get pics. You are not allowed to take any pics yourself. Still cheaper than doing this in Hawaii but overall experience is distasteful because they charge such a significant amount after the fact to complete the experience. read more

This place is run by thieves. Do not trust them under any circumstance. They make you leave your belongings in a locker that they provide so you cannot take your own photos. They advertise boat rides, open bar, and unlimited buffet, yet only after you pay full price do they disclose that these things are "complimentary" and they reserve the right to cancel them. The charge about 70 bucks per person but about 50 per picture they take of you. I cannot stress enough how much you should stay away from these theives. Take your money elsewhere. read more

This is how the dolphins live when no one is looking. Dolphins don't belong in tanks - they can swim up to 96 km/day, stay with their mothers for life, and even have their own name in the wild. They suffer here; they can do up to 15 of the same interactions each day. One dolphin's excrement is the same as 4-6 humans. These dolphins are forcibly bred, separated from their mothers, and confined all in the name of vacation entertainment. Please look into what their life is really like when they live in these sleezy facilities. read more

Dolphins don't belong in captivity. This is a heart-breaking place. Take a local cruise and see them in the wild.
