I pped at this gorgeous tasting room on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The place was packed and we waited about 15 minutes before Nick, our server made it over to our table. Not his fault, he had his hands full with very large parties. We were served with the complimentary owner's tasting that comes with an Owner's membership, thank you friend! It was a delight to try the Pambrun Chrysologue from Walla Walla and Nick was so engaging and informative about the wines that we tasted. SCW and I visited Domaine Willamette during our visit to wine country. Sparkling wine is their focus and we wanted to see what they offer. The drive in is picturesque with the vines on either side. We were greeted upon entering the large tasting room and seated quickly for our reservation by the windows. A few menus were there, one food, one tasting. The tastings are divided into four options or so. SCW chose the sparkling trio, I the melange. We also ordered some food, which we assumed were small portions but they were not. The wines were ok, neither of us really liked any other than the Sauvignon blanc. They were all poured in succession, done with one, another was poured with no description other than what they were. I got the impression that Domaine Willamette tasting room was really just a restaurant that had wine. It was nice, great view, but the atmosphere seemed to be similar to a chain restaurant that happened to make wine. The food was good, as was the service except it really lacks the wine tasting experience that I enjoy. No real description of the wines, no real interaction, just here it is. #First world problems but I don't recommend Domaine Willamette. Hopefully your experience will be better. read more

Domaine Willamette hits all of the markers for a wine visit for me - great hospitality, excellent modern space, great wines, and a more full food menu of options - even full entrees! The space is almost still brand new - opening in 2022 - and still feels warm and inviting and not pretentious. We had great service and hospitality from Autumn and she even helped make our birthday celebration one to remember. Some highlights were the warm fresh bread, chocolate mouse dessert, chocolate and pinot noir wine pairing, and incredible views. The views at this winery were lovely and the food was not bad. I personally ordered the steak with truffle fries and I loved the mushrooms and sauce on the steak. A few of my friends and I ordered medium rare and we noticed that they turned out more on the medium well done side. Only one of my friends spoke out about it and got it remade. As for the truffle fries there was a rich garlicky sauce next to them. I tried the pear cheesecake and it was very rich tasting. The top was very caramelized. The wines tasted nice and the server was very attentive and nice for the most part. Only two reason why this review is marked down to a 3 star is because we did come for a friends bday and we were told there is free dessert for her but we got charged for her dessert. The second reason being that one of our friends got pulled over by a cop car right outside of the winery. Even though it isn't necessarily on the winery, it certainly put a damper on our overall experience. read more

It's sad and honestly shocking to feel like you're being judged just for who you are especially when you're just out trying to enjoy a day of wine tasting, Chris the manager was very definitely stereotyping the group. Even the employees next to him were surprise when he was denying service to us. We only got one tasting before this winery and were denied outdoor seating, and felt like we didn't belong. As customers of color, it felt like we were being stereotyped from the start. No one deserves that. Chris, the Tasting Room Lead, made a remark about how he "deals with people of color," which is highly inappropriate and confirms the bias we felt from the moment we walked in. Our visit to Domaine Willamette was one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing experiences we have had at a winery. What should have been a simple and enjoyable outing became defined by being ignored, dismissed, and ultimately spoken to in a completely inappropriate way. We arrived hoping to enjoy a glass of wine outside. We were not interested in a tasting and were told we could place an order for wine by the glass or bottle at a different bar. We went to that bar and started asking for drink recommendations. Each time we tried to speak with a staff member, they were pulled away mid-conversation by Chris, the manager. This happened multiple times. No one took our order. No one explained anything. Meanwhile, other guests were being served without issue. We were calm, respectful, and patient. Still, we were clearly being avoided. We were also the only people of color there, and it was hard not to feel like we were being treated differently. Inside, when we asked Chris what was going on, he told us we were being viewed as "a liability." That comment was completely uncalled for. We had done nothing wrong. We were simply trying to order a glass of wine. Later, when we spoke with Chris again outside and asked why we had never been helped, he said, "I deal with Latinos all the time." That statement was dismissive, inappropriate, and confirmed the bias we already felt throughout our visit. This experience was not only about race, but our race clearly influenced how we were treated. More than anything, it reflected a serious lack of professionalism, respect, and basic hospitality. There are many wineries in the Willamette Valley that know how to treat their guests with fairness and courtesy. Domaine Willamette is not one of them. We will not be returning. read more

The wine was absolutely delicious! The bubbles, Pinot, and bigger reds - all stellar. Not typically a fan of bubbles, I fell in love with the Domaine Willamette Brut Rose! The tasting room is exquisite, every detail thoughtfully curated and showcasing beautiful artwork. When doing the "experience" it was fun to visit the various rooms and learn about the winemaking process, sipping wine along the way. Maggie was the perfect host! The tour ended outside near the vineyard and the spectacular view of the rolling hills, vines, and Mt. Hood in the distance. They have a multilevel patio with various seating areas, waterfalls, fire pits, and of course, the view! On a nice day, this is the perfect place to sit, sip and enjoy. We finished our experience tour inside one of the private tasting rooms, perfect for our party of five. There we continued tasting - very generous pours - and were served some cheese, hazelnuts and crackers. We all decided to stay for a late lunch / early dinner and the menu choices were varied and delicious. Beet salad, soups, burgers, risotto - something for everyone. We all bought several bottles of wine and are already talking about going back on a sunny day. Domaine Willamette is part of a larger brand, Williamette Valley Vineyards, with several locations in Oregon. The Estate in the Salem Hills; Tualitin Estate in Forest Grove; a tasting room in Lake Oswego, McMinnville, and on the Vancouver Waterfront; even in Folsom, CA. This winery gives more of a homey upscale vibe. It has an older demographic and traditional style but the views from the outside are amazing. The wines weren't my favorite but the food was amazing! Lovely ambience but we were disspoited that we were not able to sit on the lovely patio as tastings are only done inside. You are able to order a bottle or glass of wine on the patio but cannot do tastings which doesn't make any sense to me. We also ordered lunch. My husband ordered a burger which was very good. We came her for a small bachelorette party and had the best time. The space is gorgeous and everyone was very friendly. Our waitress Jenna, was great. She took some great photos for us and really went the extra mile. They had a special wine and chip pairing that was awesome. A nod to a high low but done so well. This is a very nice winery to visit. The facility itself is very comfortable despite its very modern look in the outside. The wines are very good. I chose the Wine & Chocolate pairing. The wines were very good and the chocolate plate was outstanding. But what made this place so enjoyable is the atmosphere. There was laughter everywhere and our host Chris and our server Vanesa truly made our visit enjoyable.
