I grew up on Domes. Fresh roasted peanuts in The Shell were my favorite! I'm glad to see they're still there!

I was just sitting here eating a bag of whole cashews I bought at Walmart and think, these are pretty good. But nothing like the ones I got at Domes Nut Shop in the sixties. Googled you and was amazed to see you are still in business. Now I want some of your hot,fresh,roasted cashews. read more

I grew up in Lima, Ohio and Dome's was very much a part of my youth. While my peers were eating candy bars in the movie theaters, I was sneaking in my Sunflower seeds or Spanish peanuts from Domes. The quality and taste of Dome's nuts is exquisite! I moved to Los Angeles in 1980 and there were nut shops but the taste was not like Domes. The nuts from Domes is full of flavor from being slow roasted and it is salted to perfection! I received a Christmas gift of Domes' Sunflower Seeds, Spanish Peanuts & Cashews. This was the greatest gift, because Nut shops are extinct in Los Angeles. I highly recommend anything from Dome's Nut Shop. The only downfall is that Domes is not on the Web. If they were, I would be ordering all the time! read more

Great throw back to a bygone era. Nuts are the best I've ever had. They're not cheap but worth it all!

There is no fresher nuts to be had in Lima, or anywhere else. Not to mention the owner and staff is totally awesome. I particularly like the way Glen toasts the Pumpkin seeds. These nuts and seeds are better than anywhere I have ever eaten them. The only thing I have ever had elsewhere not made here is Chestnuts. Am I missing them Glen? LOL. There is not a single item that I have ever ordered, eaten, shared, or gifted, that was not devoured and loved from this establishment. However I have to agree with Hortencia A. with her 2011 write up. They need to get on the web, and also get a credit card machine in there. I hate having to go across the street and hit the charge me ATM because I don't have enough Cash. I also live away from Lima and don't get in there much since some places have closed up and the jobs have moved elsewhere. read more

Had a very bad experience!!! Bought some cashews the other day and they had a stale aftertaste, they were obviously not fresh! The cashews were also very expensive! This place, in general, is ridiculously overpriced! To make my experience even worse, the man and woman behind the counter were VERY rude, they never even smiled, and basically gave me the impression that I was wasting their time! Save your money and go Walmart or Meijer to get your nuts as they are much fresher and at a fraction of the cost of Domes! Also, you won't have to deal with the rude couple that run this place! read more

Dome's Nut Shop is a Lima, Ohio original. Owned and operated for almost 100 years by the same family. I cannot imagine downtown Lima without the great taste of Dome's nuts. The pumpkin seeds, The caramel covered pecans. The German style almonds. Dome's Nut Shop is a favorite of mine read more
