To my surprise, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and offered samples of fudge, toffee, and a few other homemade treats. That immediately softened the moment and brought on a bit of nostalgia -- felt like walking into one of those general stores my MawMaw would take me to, or a Cracker Barrel stop on a road trip. The store itself is exactly what you'd expect from a small-town candy shop: shelves packed with retro candies, novelty drinks, locally made honey and syrups, quirky gifts, and yes -- edible bugs. It's cozy and cluttered in a fun, old-school way.
