Since its minutes away from my house, the DH is a winner location wise. I can understand how others could disagree though. The space is great inside and out. It reminds me a lot of those pubs you'd see in the UK. The outdoor patio is alongside the beach volleyball court. There's also a TV on outside, so catching the Spitfires game while drinking a pitcher is always an option (weather permitting of course) Not a sports fan? Bring a deck of cards! Or not! There's pool, a few arcade games and the occasional live performance. The staff is very friendly and are always ready with suggestions. I have yet to try the food there though, but the menu does looks good. Every time I've been there, we just drink! Great spot, chillin atmosphere.

Not a bad atmosphere, a bit of an older clientele & decor is kind of dark though. Popped in for a drink and live music, which was very nice.

Historic bar. 2 volleyball courts attached to patio for sun fun. Wings with homemade hot sauce are nice. Good friendly service.

Everyone at the table ordered wings - different flavors. Amazing. I also recommend the onion rings!! Our waiter was so great - didn't catch his name but was so knowledgeable, on it, and just a breath of fresh air. Also try the Windsor brew! I can't wait to visit again and try something different! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Expectations were running high as the 4 RAVED about the wings at this place. decor is kinda biker club meets pool hall...don't go expecting to get designer tips for your home....but what it lacks for in decor it more than makes up for in food quality. staff are uber friendly and stopped by on numerous occassions to chat. Wings were fantastic ! By far the best I've had in Windsor. Fries (fresh cut) were amazing as well. i had dry rubbed with a mix of cayenne and garlic, my partner had spicy bbq...both were incredible. i usually prefer dry rub but their sauce flavours were amazing. We were discussing Chinese food and a dreadful experience we had in Kingsville...the owner overheard us and recommended a place down the street...even brought over one of their menus he had. all in all a great wing place

They didn't, but they had another similar Belgian ale that was great, so no complaints there! Our table started with the hand-battered chicken tenders and fried pickles. I really liked the light batter on both, and you could actually taste the beer in the batter, which was awesome. Three of the four of us ordered the Reuben, and the other ordered the Big Ed Burger. First off, all four of us commented on how good the sides were. The fries came out piping hot and crispy, and the house-made chips were honestly some of the best I've ever had. The burger itself had good flavor, but the bun was pretty dry and unappealing. With a better bun, I think it could go from good to great. As for the Reuben--the house specialty--I enjoyed it overall, but there were a couple things holding it back for me. The corned beef itself was 10/10. Super tender, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the sandwich. The bread, however, was very dry and crisp, but it had almost no color or toasted flavor to it. My other issue was the sauerkraut. This is definitely personal preference, but I like kraut with more tang and a little chew--almost "al dente," if we were talking pasta. This was extremely soft and mushy, to the point that there really wasn't any texture left to it. With that corned beef, a tangier kraut with a little bite and better bread would make this a fantastic Reuben. That said, I don't want those critiques to overshadow the experience. We enjoyed our food, and the service was great. Nichole (according to our receipt) was super friendly and took great care of us. I also really love the history and character of Jacoby's. In fact, I just recommended it to a family member today. I'd absolutely come back, and I already have my eye on trying the schnitzel next time!

We stopped in on a Thursday night in January and the kitchen was open late, which was a huge relief. Service was quick and friendly, though a little snarky. I love any place that serves German beer and especially if the beer is clean and the bartenders are knowledgeable. Highly recommend Jacoby's for a late night stop. I'd like to visit during the warmer months now!
