I've been coming to this shop for over 4 years cause the have good prices on there new/used tires and great service. But what I'm amazed at now is how clean and nice the waiting room is. I remember a couple years ago I made the suggestion that they add more seating but after this last visit I was blown away, even the bathroom has a nice touch to it! While visiting my husband in Maryland, I ran over some metal on the interstate. Immediately my tire sensor goes off telling me to get off the highway. Realizing I didn't have much time to see what the problem was, I found the closest tire company to try and assist me. Yet no one was able to do so. Then I started making calls for companies in and around we he lives to see who could help. Did I say that I have those run flat tires??? Well I do. This is the second time those tires have failed me. They do run flat unless you run over metal and cut your tire about 3 inches. Let me just say, they don't run flat long. Anyway, that's how I found Dominion Tire in Capital Heights. I probably called 5 tire companies with no help from anyone. Yet Dominion Tire was not only able to help me immediately, he got my tire over night and I had a new tire on by noon the next day. The owner was awesome in helping me. He went above and beyond to make this happen. I live in Va. Beach. So I had to get a tire. He was the only company within a 15 mile radius who went out of their way to help me. The other companies said it would take two days. Others said they couldn't get the tire. I will never forget the kindness he showed me in a bad situation. The staff did a stellar job fast and got me on the road. From there I was able to visit the Smithsonian National Zoo and enjoy my weekend with my husband. Can I just say out loud how much of a difference the owner made in changing my entire visit. Well the 10% off is no longer applicable. So they should remove it from the site. They said it would take 20 minutes. It took more like 40. I bought 4 new tires for a Honda Accord and it cost me 340 total. So I can't be mad at that. read more

I went in yesterday with a nail in my tire unsure of if it could be plugged or I would need a new tire. I'm sure a bunch of places would have me buy the new tire and spend the money but they said no- plug is all I need. Excellent service and very speedy work. Wonderful experience at Dominion Tire Company. They took care of me right away. Was prepared to have everything done to my car, and they honestly told only one tire was in bad shape. Gave me a wonderful deal of tires, offered the sealant to protect all four tires and did the alignment in record time. I could feel the difference when I got in the car and started driving -- I'm ready for the winter now. I asked for several business cards to give to my friends for the wonderful service they gave me. This place was decent, until yesterday. Epitome of cheap tire place. I replaced two front tires with used tires. Within an hour, my tire pressure light was on. By the end of the day, my tire was flat. I am now back here, with the mechanic saying that it is likely due to my own use of the tire (in less than 24 hours, mind you)... they will likely try to make me pay again for a faulty tire. I was getting a my rim fixed at Chung's welding and wanted to get new tires since the location that removed the tire from the rim indicated the tires I had was no good. It just so happened as I was going to get the rim fixed I saw the sign for Dominion. Called the number and they had two tires available, one used and one new. I asked about the rears and the gentleman told me he could have them in the store tomorrow morning which I was skeptical because of the rare tire size my car takes. Low and behold, I got a call the next morning telling me that the tires were there. Went in and approximately 20 minutes later, I was on my way. Impressive!!! read more
