My pizzas have always arrived hot and quickly. The toppings are always very neatly placed as well.

It is connected to a gas station with plenty of parking options. It's located right off of Richlands Hwy in Rhodestown on the way to Richlands. The overall ambiance is casual. Plenty of table seating. Customer traffic was fairly consistent with orders at the counter and online orders for pickup. They have outside and inside seating. It's a fairly simple process. You find the corresponding brown bag for the sandwich you want. Mark what you want on your sandwich with a marker that's provided. Include your name at the bottom. You hand it off to the person behind the register and answer a couple of questions. Do you want fries or chips, a drink, or a milkshake. My first visit I tried the Italian Beef, fries, and a vanilla milkshake. It didn't take long for everything to be made and hear my name called. The Italian Beef was pretty good. The fries were ok. The milkshake was too thick to use a straw, so I took it home and ate it with a spoon. This visit, I had the large Wicked sandwich. The wife had a regular Italian. After a few minutes, our names were called. A large is a little much for me. Both sandwiches were good. We will dine here again. Recommend giving this a try if you're passing through or want something quick. Bonus: the gas station is connected with a small hallway where the restrooms are. You can grab drinks or other items from the gas station.

Nice staff inside, kind of fun to watch them hustle around when it's busy…read more We've been here 3-4 times inside and there is always a mix of older retirees and construction workers. I'm not a fan of the Coke machine that has dozens of flavors, the idea is great but nothing tastes the way it should making most flavors kind of off putting. And because people have so many choices they take longer to decide and get their drinks. There is only one machine so sometimes there is a line for drinks. I had a backed potato, regular chili with cheese and onions and a small burger. I poured my chili on the potato and it was great that way. The burger was dry and bland but better with some ketchup. No better than a burger from Sonic or Dairy Queen only it would be cheaper from those businesses. My wife had chili, fries and a chicken sandwich. She thought the sandwich was just ok but liked the chili and fries. One plus here is they have a really nice patio area to eat outside. I'd say far nicer than you'd expect to find at a fast food chain.

Another review I've already written and yelp disappeared it…read more So here we go again. Clean somewhat sparse decor lacks personality, almost to the point of feeling sterile. I hope they spruce the place up over time. Like many places post-COVID they have things on their website menu they no longer sell. My wife made a point of praising the hushpuppies, some BBQ joints are not worth eating but these were good. I was hoping for spare ribs, Kansa City style ribs or beef ribs but they don't do those anymore. The beans were good and worth eating, the brisket was moist and not too smoky. We generally liked everything. One thing for oaths with sensitive hearing, because there are few decorations and hard walls and floors the room is kind of loud and echoey. I hope they make some effort to soften the sound, hang some soft decorations or do something to make the sound more appealing instead of the sound of an empty warehouse.

This review is long overdue…read more Can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant yet. My experience with Thig's BBQ goes back to around 1999. I was stationed at Courthouse Bay and it was the first time I experienced Carolina whole hog bbq. Dan worked on base, but also provided the instructor staff with Carolina bbq and all the fixins'. I was hooked! After years of serving all over the place, I was happy to find out he opened his own place, Thig's BBQ House & catering. The family and I ate here a few times trying everything they had. Every time we come here, we know the food, service, and atmosphere is great. We enjoyed it so much, Thig's catered my retirement. All communication was through the daughter, who I believe handles the catering. I gave her the back story which she appreciated. She delivered the catering on time and set it all up. There was so much food! Brisket, pork, fried chicken, vegetables, and tea. Everyone raved about the food! I think we ordered too much, but it was worth it. We ate leftovers for as long as we could. I'm definitely impartial to Thig's for Carolina BBQ. I'll continue to enjoy this place as long as I can. Highly recommend giving Thig's a try!
