We have been here a few times and the food can be hit and miss. The staff is very friendly and always greet you when you enter. The restaurant is small but has a lot of parking. The restaurant always smells like disinfectant which is a bit worrying. However, the food isn't bad. The prices are on par with other Asian places I have been too. On our most recent trip we ordered 4 shrimp tempura ($6.25 for 4 pcs). It was crispy and tasted delicious. The chicken broccoli had a flavorful scent and taste but the chicken was a bit too thick and chewy. The California roll was tasty. The crab rangoon was disappointing. It had almost no filling and it was like eating an empty wonton wrapper. That was very disappointing since it was $1.05 for each piece. The ginger sauce with the salad is tasty. read more

Hey Yelp? Why do my reviews keep disappearing? This is the third review for this restaurant this month! It's hard to get in my thoughts for the third time. Here it goes. The food is pretty good but also costly. I won't eat inside again; I'll only eat takeout. I hope the owners take note but your fish tank stench is unhealthy, gross, and a huge turn-off. If you're not going to keep it clean get rid of it. People get used to their bad smells like folks who have too many cats or dogs and don't clean things up frequently or heavy smokers who don't always realize how bad their homes can smell because they are accustomed to it. The rotten, moldy fish tank is pervasive (the dark green water is algae and mold) and worse in closed rooms like the restrooms, which were so bad I almost threw up and had to leave immediately. Come on, I can't be the only person to mention this. If it were not for the good food, I would not be able to give you four stars. We will order here again but only for take-out. read more

It's been year since my husband and I have stopped here for a date night, but we had a hankering for some sushi and didn't feel like driving all the way to Jacksonville. The service is always great. My husband ordered the California roll, shrimp tempura roll, and the Richlands roll. I ordered the Boston roll, cucumber roll, and egg drop soup. Egg drop soup was kind of bland unfortunately. The cucumber roll was good, the Boston roll was lacking in the cream cheese and shrimp department through out half the roll. Fuji Asian Bistro has Japanese, Chinese and Thai dishes on their menu. I had spicy Beef and vegetable entree with rice and hot and sour soup -- both came hot and spicy. We also had a mild Bento Box with Egg Drop soup--again served hot. Our server was Stephanie and was very good. The decor is decent but not great--definitely not a turn-off. Prices were reasonable. Me and everybody from my office order from here regularly. They always get our order right and each of us love something different from this place. I love their fried rice. The hibachi is amazing and they have really good. Sushi. I buy tubs of the ginger sauce to eat salads throughout the week all the time I have nothing but good things to say about this place. This is one of those little holes on the wall that are absolutely amazing. Even my six-year-old daughter is obsessed with this place. A wonderful surprise during our stay in Richlands. We had a party of 5 and had great service and even better food. The rainbow roll stood out as well as the garlic shrimp. Be sure to try the spider roll and the eel sashimi. Great service and great food. read more

We eat here about once a week. We used to get to take out and now we dine in. Such fresh food, good service, and atmosphere is great. The bathroom is clean but not as remodeled as the restaurant, so don't let it throw ya. The Asian Zing meals will make you sweat but so yummy. The rolls are beautifully made. Even chicken nuggets get a plate with sliced fruit and more. We feel like we're dining on a fancy cruise ship. It's really that good. read more

I went here the other night to try out a new sushi place. From the outside it's quite obvious that this place was converted into a sushi/hibachi restaurant from an old McDs. But you really have to hand it to them for what they did on the inside. Personally, I love sitting in a booth as opposed to a table, and all the old booths are there, but they've been redone. The whole inside really does look nice. Perfect sushi atmosphere. The wait staff were all very friendly, attentive, and knowledgable of the menu. The sushi was fresh and delicious, and reasonably priced. I tried their Angel Hair Roll, the Crunchy Spicy Tuna, and the Philadelphia Roll (which is my favorite and always my go-to roll). The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because of their hibachi. It wasn't that great. The rice was decent, but a little too firm. (this surprised me as their sushi rice was spot on) The chicken was terribly dry and lacking in flavor. The vegetables are not fresh, but frozen, though they were surprisingly probably the best part of the dish. I'll definitely be back, and may even give the hibachi another try. I ordered shrimp & scallop hibachi. For an $18 meal, you get 5-6 shrimps & "5-6" scallops. Why the apostrophes? Because they're actually just 2-3 scallops sliced thinly to make them look like you have a lot! (See my pics for proof). This is just pure robbery. The fried rice is delicious and the sushi here taste so good. I'm still new at the whole eating sushi. So I don't eat the raw stuff just yet. What I can say about the sushi I have had here that doesnt contain any raw fish is that it doesn't have a fishy after taste. The décor inside reminds me of a little bar in downtown Manhattan NYC. Converted a McDonald's restaurant to an Asian bistro. Kept all the booths and seats the same way. Noisy kids throwing chopsticks and running through restaurant with 'squeaky' type shoes. Don't think it's cute. Evil eye at the parents did nothing to squash the brat. They lose their Michelin star (haha) right away with the poor excuse for a salad. Egg drop soup tastes fishy/seaweedy. We sent it back but were offered no alternative. Christmas lights are still up. Playing country music in an Asian themed restaurant?!Shrimp and chicken Tempura was delicious. Steak and shrimp teriyaki good quality steak and big fat juicy shrimp. Wish they would've stir fried the vegetables. They were overcooked and tasteless. Such a great little place. Sauces are made in house, probably the best teriyaki sauce I've ever had, food was fresh and well prepared. Staff was friendly and enjoyed having conversations with the customers. I had the spicy tuna roll, my only suggestion is the tuna could have been a little colder but the flavor was great. I also had their hibachi steak and it was great and reasonably priced. Here's the deal: I've eaten at many Asian restaurants around the world, including Japan. This place is a hidden gem, especially being up here in Richlands. The hibachi lunch specials are perfect. Portions were great (you shouldn't have left overs) and the price was perfect at under $10 per plate. Keep in mind that you're still going to pay about $2 per drink as well. That being said, the staff was excellent. Super helpful and extremely accommodating. We used to drive into Jacksonville to get our fix when we felt like having anything above your usual Chinese restaurant food. Not anymore! Avoid this place if you want your food to be flavorful and fresh. My mom ordered a dragon roll. It was smaller than the ones we're familiar with and the avocado on top was brown and mushy. Looked and tasted like yesterday's leftovers. I had the steak teriyaki dinner and it was equally as bad. Cheap overcooked flank steak instead of the usual rib eye or fillet. The steak was so tough and full of gristle it was hard to chew, my dogs got most of it because of this. And it had zero flavor. I'm not sure how that's even possible but the only flavor to be found was in the yum yum sauce which was strangely spicy. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 15 minutes to Jacksonville if you're looking for sushi and hibachi. read more
