Good is good but they can't deliver to Schaghticoke only 8 miles away. I think if they did a bigger delivery window they would get 5 stars

Best in town for pizza and that is not saying much. Take out only, prices a little to high. Same owners as doms in bought corners.

Running errands in this area and dropped in to try Memphis King's (1st time visit) I always get the same wings (hot buffalo) at each restaurant/bar to keep things fair. Memphis King's wings are smoked, then fried. I've found that you lose a lot of smoke flavor when they're fried to order but these had just the right amount still present. Very tasty. And crispy! (a lot of smoked wings are grilled but, while delicious, it doesn't render enough of the skin to make them crispy and I like crisp!) I've sampled wings from about 30 places (so far) and I would whole heartedly put Memphis King's in my top 10 for sure. Looking forward to trying their other items because their burnt ends look great. As does the house made pastrami *droooool* As for the people, the gal in front of house was wonderful. And the chef (not sure if he was the owner or not) was so nice. Kept checking in on me to see how everything was and kept offering me suggestions and samples. Not pushy, just smart business because I'm 100% gonna go back.

The definition of good barbecue to me is having an amazing brisket as it is one of the harder things to smoke correctly. The fact that this account has a try tip sandwich and other innovative and creative menu ideas made me very intrigued. I was actually a little bit worried that with the menu as large as it is and dabbling in so many different things besides barbecue, that the barbecue part of the menu might be sacrificed but that was not the case. Their house barbecue sauce is excellent, the meat was fresh the service was great and everything had a great smoke ring and you can tell it was not yesterday's food like a lot of the other barbecue places in the area. It is actually in an amazing location right down the hill from Hudson Valley community college and a lot of residential and commercial spots. If you're in the area I would definitely stop in and check it out!

Also was able to chat with the owner about his intentions for the place. I like his idea. And I like his food also. There is no substitute for solid barbecue, and on the first shot, they scored with me. We tried moink balls, pulled pork sandwich, and the "I.W.G." Sandwich also. Both of them served with pickles, onions and a side of slaw. These sandwiches were large. Definitely a full meal. Excellent barbecue can always be pegged by the smoke level, and it was proper here. Smokey, spicey, moist - It hits all the right notes. I'm not really a sweet potato guy, but they have a sweet potato side to offer. The girl said they were spectacular. Sprinkled with brown sugar and marshmallows. The location is excellent also. Right next to a small pond with all kinds of wildlife. Nice to sit by the water and enjoy excellent barbecue. Dangerous to have good barbecue so close to my house. As far as ratings go, I'll start with 4 stars and progress as we try everything else.

I got the Dizzy Chicken with Dizzy sauce with the Mac and cheese and collard greens, it was absolutely phenomenal! The chicken was moist and flavorful, Mac and cheese was extremely cheesy but not super heavy on the first bite, the collard greens had a nice kick to add to everything! My boyfriend got the ribs with cornbread and potatoes... the cornbread was moist and a perfect balance of sweet and savory. My boyfriend doesn't like a whole ton of sauce on his ribs but isn't one to say much about altering an order, but he said he had no complaints! The sauce was sweet sauce but they do have other options! Their menu was pretty simple but that was nice after a long day of driving. The service was helpful and comfortable. As one of the few restaurants open on a Monday evening, it proved to be an excellent choice for dinner. Dining solo, I grabbed a seat at the bar and enjoyed a conversation with the knowledgeable and courteous bartender, who was happy to share insights about the restaurant's approach to barbecue. Although Dizzy Chicken is well known for its rotisserie chicken, I opted for the smoked half rack of ribs, which were exceptionally tender and packed with rich, smoky flavor. The bartender also pointed out that even the house-made barbecue sauce is smoked in-house, a detail that perfectly reflects the restaurant's commitment to layered, authentic flavors. What impressed me most was the dedication to quality and craftsmanship. Everything on the menu is prepared from scratch, including the sauces, dressings, breads, and cheeses. This attention to detail is evident in every bite. Founded by husband-and-wife team Justin and Maya Bartlett, Dizzy Chicken Barbecue combines traditional slow-smoked barbecue with subtle Mediterranean influences inspired by their travels and culinary backgrounds. Since opening in 2015, the restaurant has built a reputation for creative, high-quality barbecue and has successfully expanded to its Saratoga Springs location. The restaurant's wood-burning rotisserie, featuring antibiotic-free and cage-free chickens, inspired the name "Dizzy Chicken" and serves as a centerpiece of the operation. Combined with the owners' commitment to fresh, preservative-free ingredients and from-scratch cooking, it creates a dining experience that feels both thoughtful and distinctive. Dizzy Chicken Barbecue is well worth a visit. Great food, friendly service, and a genuine passion for quality make it a standout destination in Saratoga Springs.

A friend wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for Father's Day. He'd been talking about it for months…read more Why Father's Day? I'm not entirely sure. I think many fathers have an idea of how they'd like to spend their special day. This particular dad (divorced) loves bbq. So we went. An adult son came along, too. I was not prepared for the spectacle. The large parking lot on Wolf Road in Colonie was very full. There was a line of people waiting outside. Some were standing while others were seated on cushioned benches. The management had pitched a tent at the front entrance where staff took care of check-in. I'd gone online before arriving and placed our party of three on the restaurant chain's online "waitlist" system. It sent me a text message telling us what time to arrive. We were right on time. The staff checked us in and ushered us inside. We were seated at a table within about five minutes. The restaurant doesn't take reservations but its waitlist system was remarkably efficient. Kudos to the staff for making it seem effortless. There were hundreds of people dining at the restaurant and yet we were greeted by three or four staffers who took our orders, checked on us repeatedly and kept bringing us refills of those deliciously warm bread rolls. Since this is most definitely a family restaurant--there are large monitors on the walls playing goofy videos and a tablet on each table with video games--to keep both children and adults occupied. In keeping with the Western theme there are longhorn window decorations and heads of bison, antelope, billy goats and deer on the walls. Our drinks were served almost immediately. I ordered a mocktail called passion fruit sparkler just in case I needed to be the designated driver. The entrees took a bit more time. With so many people to serve, we just had to be patient. So I played the games on the tablet. The server eventually arrived with my order of the beef tips in mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and cooked vegetables. The meal was hot and delicious. Everyone was happy with their meals. We were stuffed. I took half of my meal home. Who knew that Father's Day at the Texas Road House was a cultural event? A phenomenon of sorts. I'm still amazed how the staff made everything work so smoothly. With so many families to feed it could have ended up disastrous but it turned out to be just the opposite. My friend had a great day which was made even better when his son surprised us all by insisting on paying for the entire meal. Thanks Texas Road House.

People kept telling me, " It's across the street from The Ruck. You know, The Ruck?" That was no help to me. I was unfamiliar with this tavern. There was a nice selection of soups. I ordered a cup of Greens and Beans along with 5 oz. of Fat Orange Cat Brew Chonky . I liked the beer. The soup was quite good, too.
