    Maison Thon.

Delicious sandwiches and warm, friendly service! My chicken bahm mi with salad was so good! Ate every bite! Hubby tried the Maison Thon tuna sandwich and loved it too. We had bonus tastes of the potato salad and hubby, who doesn't normally eat mayo, devoured it. Thanks to Ethan and adorable Sierra for a great first experience at Don & Charley's!

Awesome sandwiches! The Italian deli was piled high with meat and I love that you can get it as a sandwich or salad (or gluten free bun). They have fountain sodas, lemonade, and adult bevs if you want. Easy, casual, order at the counter spot for lunch.

The food was absolutely amazing. Best tuna I've ever had! The staff was wonderful and friendly. It was such a great experience. This was a random stop for us and beyond what we could have ever expected. Thank you for such a fabulous lunch!!!!

This was our lunch spot on our road trip west. I'm adding my great review to the ones already posted. When we entered we were greeted and given instructions on ordering and such. It was super busy and we found the last two stools near the bar which was fun because we got to watch them make the sandwiches. We chose the Italian sandwich and split it. Good choice as it was a rather large portion. So many fresh ingredients and outstanding crusty bread. They warm up the bread and use a blow torch to melt the cheese. The method creates a toasty, warm sandwich but also gives the edges a nice crisp. So good. The meal comes with chip (bag of Lays). Would have loved to have kettle chips as an option. Everything was so good. Staff was super busy but were getting in-house and take-out orders done quickly. Loved the hand painted mural of leaves in the restaurant. So glad we made the detour off the freeway to have lunch here.

    The turkey bacon sandwich

My boyfriend and I had to drop off friends at the Boise airport so we decided to grab lunch. This place is legit great sandwiches and all fresh ingredients. If you were in downtown Boise definitely stop by and check this place out!

Great Italian Sandwhich! Loaded with meat and bread, the Italian Deli is a balance of savory yet sweet. Potato salad, get it. Owner is attentive and friendly, was able to order and get my meal in 15 mins even with the lunch rush. A few open seats in the restaurant otherwise you kinda hover in a corner, restroom in the back corner.

My husband and I stopped in today for lunch and loved both of our sandwiches (he got the Italian deli and I got the turkey & bacon). Both had plenty of delicious meat and a yummy herb and garlic aioli. By far my favorite part, however, was the ciabatta--soooo good! I chose the potato salad as my side and while it had a good dill flavor, I think I may have gotten a salty batch today. Worth a try though as multiple reviews state it's the best potato salad they've ever had. The shop itself is pretty small with only a handful of seats so it does fill up quickly as it seems to be a popular spot. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!

Boise, ID Went out of our way so that we could stop at this sandwich shop. It came with such great reviews. Driving from Oregon to Salt Lake took a side trip just for this. DELICIOUS!!!! You must come here. Not many Yelp reviews live up to their stars. This one exceeded it. Walked in and Charly greeted us right away. Pleasant and kind. Asked if we had been in before. Then proceeded to offer us ideas of sandwiches to choose from, going into detail describing the sandwich. Went with the turkey. Lots of meat, pickled onions, honey mustard, pepperonci and more. The best part is the bread. Fantastic! We told them we were going to split one sandwich and they did it for us in the kitchen and gave us both ample amount of chips. Very clean restaurant! Very clean bathrooms! Stopped by Boise State after eating here and told a few employees right away about this place. They are local and had not heard of it but said they were going to put it on their must go to list. I am so impressed with this. I hope my business brings me back through town so I can come again.

Veggie Sandwich (subbed Dijon for red pepper aioli spread)

Very friendly and accommodating staff, cute interior, fresh tasting food. I was pleasantly surprised half the sandwich held up in the fridge for the next day. They were great at explaining the menu, and substitutes. My only issue was that I asked for mustard instead of spread to save some fat and calories, and when I asked what mustard they had, they told me Dijon. I assumed that meant normal Dijon mustard. Instead I got a creamy Dijon spread, that I ended up blotting a ton of. It tasted great and I didn't necessarily tell them I was asking first mustard for macros-related purposes, but I would've liked to know it was just a different thick spread. Overall though, great sandwich, impressed with the experience and I'll be back.

The service was fast, as we didn't wait the full 45 minutes before being seated. Upon walking in you see an upscale modern atmosphere, and date night ambiance. I felt underdressed as usual in my shorts, but was welcomed nonetheless. We ordered the potato fingerlings, because when in Boise you order potatoes. However I wasn't much of a fan, tasted more like grocery store potato wedges. The other appetizer was the meatballs, which is served with a garlic bread I wish I had an entire loaf of. It was really good and though it seems small it was good enough when cut up, maybe it could've done with 1 more meatball and definitely some more bread. For dinner the kid had a half cheese half crispy pepperoni pizza, which of course he didn't like, not like the chain pizza shops he's used to but I had some and it was delicious. He did like the crust, and still ate a couple sliced. I shared a half Bronco, half Honey Badger pizza with the missus. Everything was good, but the honey badger's grilled onions overwhelmed the taste. My favorite was the Bronco which our California transplant server recommended. It had a nice spice to it that hits the back of your throat just enough to wake you up but not enough to have you reaching for a drink. I already recommended this place to friends that live in the area. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

Over this time, my experiences have been a bit of a mixed bag regarding food quality and accuracy, though the service and atmosphere have always been consistently good. The environment inside the restaurant is always clean and welcoming, and the staff members are pleasant and helpful during my visits. On the food side, their salads are excellent and highly reliable. I can always count on getting a fresh, well-made salad every time I order. However, other aspects of the menu tend to fluctuate. The soups are hit-or-miss; there are days when they are delicious, but other times they are served cold and taste slightly off. My biggest recurring issue is with order accuracy regarding their chocolate-dipped strawberries. I specifically request a plain dipped strawberry because the hard candy pearls on the decorated ones hurt my teeth. Despite making this request, I frequently get home only to find they packed the strawberry with the hard toppings anyway. While the great service and atmosphere make for an enjoyable visit, the inconsistency with the soup quality and the lack of attention to simple order modifications makes the overall food experience unpredictable.

I came here for a late lunch around 2 pm after arriving in Boise. They weren't crowded at this point but business wasn't dead either. My waitress was very friendly. Inside has a lived-in, intimate feel, but it was pretty dark, so much that I wasn't sure they were actually open as I was opening the door. I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.

The only hiccup was that they were out of tomatoes, which is a non-negotiable topping for her, so keep that in mind if tomatoes are a must. I went a different route and ordered the beef focaccia. Note, online it calls for a dress code of business casual, so my husband wore a collard shirt and I had a nice dress on. The servers were not dressed business casual at all.
